Holy shit Preach. I just spent 27 minutes jizzing my pants. I main fury in M HFC right now and from the second I saw the new animations I knew I was going to main it in Legion! All the good stuff I've heard about it is just icing on the cake.
I like that you do a little "Abstract" before the game play footage to tell about your reasoning on why you got to your end thought. Good Job Preach! Keep up the good work.
Hey Preach, loving your Complete Preview videos. Instantly subscribed without hesitation when I first saw your Unholy DK Preview a few days ago. Can't wait for the next one and thanks for the content and entertainment.
11:45 Preach Outburst does play into bladestorm battle cry combo quite well. Because it gives your mastery's dmg increase into the 100% crit bladestorm, whereas wrecking ball is just...sudden death.
Finally a warrior video! Really liked it though there are some points I'd like to point out. I found it sad that you didn't really go into a more boss-kill/single target focused build. "Endless Rage" together with the trait "Forucs in Chaos", "Juggernaut", "Massacre" give us a really smooth execute phase. Currently I got ilvl 835 with ~28% crit(thanks to a relic my execute got a 41% crit chance), 31% mastery and 13% haste. "Wrecking Ball" and "Inner Rage" really smooth out the rotation and give an even better burst during the enrage window where you can press at least two abilities. Together with Reckless Abandon I found myself doing up to 550k dps on pulls by starting with Battle Cry -> Rampage -> Raging Blow -> Wrecking Ball/Odyn's Fury(only if WB did not proc) -> Bloodthirst for that guaranteed enrage -> Raging Blow -> Wrecking Ball/Odyn's Fury. It is really sad to see Odyn's Fury fall down in the priority so much as it deals less than WB with current numbers which should not be the case IMO. Hopefully they'll fix that in the next build. Regarding Endless Rage: Together with the talents I chose above I found myself doing really well sub 20% when Execute is finally useable. One Enrage window gives us more than enough rage to use another Execute(requires the Focus in Chaos trait to work though). I know numbers are relatively irrelevant currently in beta but I could see myself out DPS even good demon hunters by at least one quarter of their damage done on the Wrath of Azshara. Best try for me was with 22 stacks in a random heroic and the damage just got so rediculous it was really fun to see those DHs cry in a corner for at least once. The synergy between Endless Rage, Focus in Chaos and Massacre works really well IMO as you'd naturally want to start the execute phase with ~90-95 rage and enrage which should give you at least five uses of Execute which should give you at least one free rampage. As you get guaranteed auto-hits while enrage you get around ~25 rage just for one GCD which cannot be topped by RB or BT in anyway, additionally we also become enraged by using Rampage. I found myself using RB or BT sub 20% only if Rampage did not crit - which happened rarely for me as it has a 41% crit chance for me - and generally never use FS in that time frame. Another point would be you actually only showed one real build which is more than heavily focused on pure AoE trash kills and generally useless on boss fights though I guess the problem is just blizzards fucked up talent restriction policy. Stil, I'm happy to see my main finally covered and I'm looking forward to the rest of the previews :) Keep up the good work.
To note for people, Storm Bolt + Furious Charge is great combo for solo content. Stun, heroic Leap out, charge in Bloodthirst = heal. On Beta Ive soloed rares most other classes need groups for, its powerful setup but its design is solo content/world questing. Throw in Dragon Roar with Blade Storm and Wrecking Ball and pull big groups and cleave it to oblivion. Perfect setup for World Content.
What happened to the dungeon runs to show the specs how they work in combat? I really liked them. Maybe you could do some quests, to show us the mechanics, those target dummies are so boring.
That's not why. It's because of the talent changing restrictions that made it so that in order to show all of the talents in a dungeon, he would have to run several dungeons.
I think the main reason is the fact that Blizzard took out the ability to change talents on the fly. You can change talents for free in a rested area. But you will now need a tome made by scribes to change them out in the world or in dungeons/raids, which makes testing them on Beta a tedious chore.
Issue is talents, the dungeon run is supposed to demonstrate different talents and you can't change talents in dungeons without crafting a ton of tomes, which would take too much time to be practical.
I was there for the Testing of the Fury Warrior for Bay's coverage. The issue with the way Bay does his testing is that he doesn't often mention that tuning will fix that issue. In the beta (at the time that he tested) he said that it was only necessary to Furious Slash. It will be changed. For SURE. If they don't make any changes to warrior damage... He will remain correct. I doubt Blizzard will make that mistake.
Can you comment on the new Fury as of a few days ago, since they removed Meat Grinder? And they moved a few talents around too, put them on different tiers so now you can mix and match differently than you could before. Would like to hear your input on how it plays now and what you consider to be the best talent picks now.
great video, fury warrior seems fun. I have a question though: In Legion, is the ability with a cooldown higher than 3 mins( like surrender to madness for shadow priest) going to reset after boss fight, like we are in 6.2? if not, is it possible just not implement in the beta yet?
I completely loved fury warrior in legion ptr. I kept getting carried away with killing mobs that I would forget I finished the quest 10mins ago. Playing it again and still having fun, maybe not as I first did but not bad.
Are you aware that right now raging blow is not as good as actually keep using furious slash even while enraged because enraging is more important? How do you think they could fix that?
was just way cooler before blizz fucked with it too many times... too many chiefs not enough Indians always go with the gut... artist anxiety if you wanna call it that
Could you showcase the honortalents as well? Not your field, but would be nice to see it on one class how they differ PvP from PvE. :) love the vids, keep it up!
Preach I really don't think you're asking too much when you mentioned the "hulk mode" animation with breaking armor. They should create a scenario for it like what they did with the fel fire for Warlocks. I can't imagine that would be difficult to do in a later patch and hopefully we will see something unique for the other classes in the future. Make Warriors great again Blizzard.
Fury is a shell of its former self. it's now a face roll class that any dummy can play. fury warrior used to be really difficult to play and had amazing gear scaling. now it's just dumpster, you press 3 buttons and it had no mechanics. rampage is a horrible ability, it doesn't look like it does any damage. What felt good was colossus smashing then blasting faces with bloodlust haste dumping heroic strikes and other skills on a 0.6 second GCD.
I think furious charge is a nice thing for pvp? fury warriors going to take alot more damage from now and we wont have much to stop this, no defensive stance, so maybe having that extra heal burst will help? if you have the glyph also. that might be quite a chunky heal
If you see finalboss' review he mentions that a few warrior theory crafters he talked to, that they say you don't raging blow during enrage, that you just bloodthirst. Because you basically just want to try to enrage all the time. So basically in the optimal rotation, you never use raging blow is what he was told.
i'm still going to stick with my hunter as my main in legion, but i've been having a hard time figuring out which classes i would want as my main alt/alts. tbh i was rly excited about the warr and was waiting for this review to come out. after seeing this, warr is probably gonna be my main alt followed by the mage.
PSA: Most recent build more than doubled the damage of furious slash, there is now ZERO reason to ever hit raging blow (except if you take a specific talent).
idk whats up with furious slash, it seems like it just became what scorch used to be for fire mages. would it be better to take out the crit chance from furious slash and return it back to how bt was before when it has an increased 30% chance to crit? not only does it stop being gcd locked, but it will also let raging blow see some use again
Can you do a video with the Brewmaster Monk soon???? REALLY want to know what the new changes are!! Awesome videos btw, keep up the great work! *brofist*
I have tried out fury warrior, and i fucking LOVE IT! On the other hand im sad to let my sub rogue go. Could you make a video on sub rogues and how horrible of a state they are in, so we can bring some light to the subject? Great job, love your vids!
I'm so glad they got rid of wild strike, it always felt awkward to me and didn't fit my timing on bloodthirst cooldowns for me. I wasn't gonna main warrior in legion for that reason, but it looks really fun and the talent names are so cool.
Preach I hardly push bt and I have like a 100% enrage up time with the auto attack giving 30% more rage and frenzy I never really drop my enrage and its funny you post this RIGHT before they changed fury YET AGAIN
What's with Rampage requiring a 2 handed weapon? I get that the artefacts are 2 handers but are they removing that choice for fury warriors altogether?
Currently in the beta, you need to be in a rested area to change your talents. So it would make these videos easier because he doesn't have to run into the Shrine just to change talents.
I actually really like frenzy. I haven't hit 110 yet but at three stacks i'm able to get 3 raging blows in verses 2 without. It makes the spec pretty stable.
Is anyone else on the beta having an issue with the Bladestorm animation? My Warrior (fucking love this class now by the way) tends to stand up in the middle of a channel, legs still spinning, but the upper half has the standing animation.
I noticed that the target dummy moves according to which way your character strikes. So if you do a "right to left" strike, it bounces back a little more to the left side of where your character attacked. Cool feature xD xD xD xD Ex Dee
"It feels really clumsy. It's been altered and changed so much that you kinda have to forgive at some point" Wait, are we talking about the Fury Warrior or the Warcraft Movie? :P
0:40 same... furious slash is a stupid addition. 1:50 "clumsy and falls over on itself" that's pretty much class design in legion. i wasn't aware people still had a problem with using a cancel macro on enrage and you gain more health than damage taken now with the artifact plus the increased healing and enraged regen change. the fury warrior is one of the best specs in legion still, but it's not what it could be sadly. you can say that with so many other classes it's almost a bad joke. it's fun to play until you do any sort of actual gameplay which is basically all of the tacked on bullshit by furious slash. it looks amazing but everytime i tested it with new spells and builds it was "yeah, i'm just giving up on this.. they're clearing not listening to anything" and that's why i currently don't have beta installed.
Loquendero Amv i'm of the thought path that alpha/beta should be tested by those only that have earned it unfortunately. when you give out keys you lesser the skill pool by a dramatic amount of and less testing gets done because of the difficulty is much higher than it normally is for players who just want to see things.
How can you say that the "Colossus Smash" style of play has been completely removed, and then utterly skip over Dragon Roar? It's basically a reskinned CS as it stands in the current build.
This spec feels like you're mad at the enemy then you spin to slaughter them all then they die then you're pissed that they made you dizzy so you spin to win harder on the next pack.
Guys, do you think I should race change my warrior to Orc or should I just leave him as Belf? Worried about Mythic logs in Legion. is the 400~ AP worth it?
Well 0.1% is an understatement, given that your overall AP falls around 6k @ 730ilvl, so the orc gives you like 5% boost in AP. Which brings me to why I asked, I'd like to see what people think. I changed my DK and I already see the difference between 2-5%. Just wondering if warrior might fall under the same category in legion.
I actually prefer the idea that I've got TOO much I can do (or, to little time with which to use all of it). Without it, it doesn't feel like there are many crucial decisions. Granted, just having something more worthwhile that I could have done during a particular time would work as well, but that aspect is much more available to a class that is cooldown-locked (with proc refreshes) than in any way resource-locked, e.g. certain iterations of Ret Paladin. Inner Rage just looks like it should have been a glyph... which should just be free customization elements... RIP scribes. Please.
"I'm a warrior, I don't walk anywhere" favorite line right there
badass
Holy shit Preach. I just spent 27 minutes jizzing my pants. I main fury in M HFC right now and from the second I saw the new animations I knew I was going to main it in Legion! All the good stuff I've heard about it is just icing on the cake.

I have no idea what I'm going to play in Legion, need that pre patch soon.
haha same, I wanna lvl a char to 60 then use the lvl 100 boost, so I want some information that will last
the ptr has all the changes playable now except the demon hunter. so you can already check out the new talents.
I think with how the tanking is working out I'm going to either dust off my DK or Druid.
Still don't know what I'm going to play :/
Same, I am being torn apart by what to play. Warrior? Warlock? Demon Hunter!!
Yaaay, positive reviews ; )

Yay, ive been waiting for this day
Meet your destiny!
Hold the door.
Hodor?
Gaze into my eye, and witness your DOOM!
You know nothing

Thanks for all the answers, Preach did it anyway, i fucking love this dude!
i think that guy from final boss said mathematically you shoudl never use raging blow so i hope it changes
Thats obviously not how it's supposed to be. I
The only reason you would use it is to generate the rage while BT is on cooldown. I don't see why you wouldn't use it at all though.
buff RB and make sure the math on the inner rage talent is close to the other talents on the tier. Boom!!! Raging Blow is saved.
I was there for the Testing of the Fury Warrior for Bay's coverage. The issue with the way Bay does his testing is that he doesn't often mention that tuning will fix that issue. In the beta (at the time that he tested) he said that it was only necessary to Furious Slash.

That was my exact thought as well, Preach.
Love the video's as always, Cant wait for Arm's Complete Preview!
WoTLK Fury warrior may have been simple in rotation but was so awesome to play.

thats a numbers thing, just move the damage around and it doesnt work that way anymore, its clearly not intended
+Neoicecreaman from what we saw here fury seems to be generating slower than wod
wow, I was considering rerolling but this restores my faith in my fury
Love the start to the videos now!!
FYI final build has been changed for the Fury warrior. Check your live as some of the talents will be different
MMO Champ "Preach hates Fury warrior" confirmed
was just way cooler before blizz fucked with it too many times... too many chiefs not enough Indians always go with the gut... artist anxiety if you wanna call it that
Could you showcase the honortalents as well? Not your field, but would be nice to see it on one class how they differ PvP from PvE. :) love the vids, keep it up!
waiting for same complete preview of arms :P
Omg Preach I geez in my pants when u gave that idea of rampage off the gcd that is an amazing broken idea lol
Avatar + rallying cry + dragon roar + bladestorm = INSANE burst AOE deeps! Can't wait to run some dungeons with that.
Hey Preachy, when will you be looking at the healers!? :D :D
i really enjoy these vids!
Keep it up!
when will we have the enhancement shaman, i'm waiting for that. and really wanna see what you have to say about it
I see many warrior nerfs coming in the future. As a caster warrior tears make me smile.
God damn those animations are beautiful.
Also battle cry in the artifact makes it 50 sec CD which I feel kind of like a pisser with bladestorm in mind
Nep - Neptune is sort of a parody character in a game that constantly makes references in the game with other films or games or past events.
I think furious charge is a nice thing for pvp? fury warriors going to take alot more damage from now and we wont have much to stop this, no defensive stance, so maybe having that extra heal burst will help? if you have the glyph also. that might be quite a chunky heal
Played Port all through Panda and WoD, looking forward to going Fury. Its been a long time!
Before you'd even said anything about Juggernaut I had to pause the video and have a good laugh. So ridiculous, but funny!
If you see finalboss' review he mentions that a few warrior theory crafters he talked to, that they say you don't raging blow during enrage, that you just bloodthirst. Because you basically just want to try to enrage all the time. So basically in the optimal rotation, you never use raging blow is what he was told.
try that and then you'll want to abandon your fury warrior it's super fucking boring if you don't use raging blow
+Loquendero Amv I agree, they need to make raging blow hit harder, a lot harder.
Josh Gamauf definetly
i'm still going to stick with my hunter as my main in legion, but i've been having a hard time figuring out which classes i would want as my main alt/alts. tbh i was rly excited about the warr and was waiting for this review to come out.
after seeing this, warr is probably gonna be my main alt followed by the mage.
PSA: Most recent build more than doubled the damage of furious slash, there is now ZERO reason to ever hit raging blow (except if you take a specific talent).
Those animations look meaty....like there is true power smashing into the enemy
idk whats up with furious slash, it seems like it just became what scorch used to be for fire mages. would it be better to take out the crit chance from furious slash and return it back to how bt was before when it has an increased 30% chance to crit? not only does it stop being gcd locked, but it will also let raging blow see some use again

Preach, going right along with what you said about warriors changing, it has changed again. Any thoughts on the new talent tree?
I'm so glad they got rid of wild strike, it always felt awkward to me and didn't fit my timing on bloodthirst cooldowns for me. I wasn't gonna main warrior in legion for that reason, but it looks really fun and the talent names are so cool.
Wouldn't it be arguably better to improve your bladestorm if you take the Berserker rage enraging talent? Or do the negatives outweigh the positives?
That´s what Blizzard always does. If it´s not broken, still try to fix it and make it worse.
Preach I hardly push bt and I have like a 100% enrage up time with the auto attack giving 30% more rage and frenzy I never really drop my enrage and its funny you post this RIGHT before they changed fury YET AGAIN
Preach, we need an update for this, because of the talent changes that came with the prepatch! Thx alot, for all your hard work!
I really need to get my Warrior leveled up to 100 then, that looked stupidly fun. absolutely crazy, stupid amounts of fun.
hey Preach can you tell us what you think of Swifty's prot 1 shot thing and if it would work while tanking
Preach, Since your video came out they've changed the talents around. Any Changes to your setup advice?
What's with Rampage requiring a 2 handed weapon? I get that the artefacts are 2 handers but are they removing that choice for fury warriors altogether?
I believe SMF is gone, yes.
Preach you're the FUCKNG MAN!!! I'm looking forward to playing legion with my main. Thanks for the vid!!
I think inner rage was implemented to counter that "bloodthirst is more important" mentality
@Preach Gaming What do you think about the fury warrior after the talent updates?
Maybe I missed something, but what is it that proccs WW?
Nice video Preach, fury looks awesome, can't wait!
wrecking ball from auto attacks
I'd love to keep rocking the warrior, and fury looks great. My only question is this: is prot still hot garbage?
What does he use for mod/addon to show the Enrage in the center screen like that? (along with the green and red bar)
Currently, Fury should never press Raging Blow. It is a dead button. It is going down the path of Heroic Strike and Overpower... R.I.P.
why not do these vids in org so you are in a resting state always?
Why does it matter if he's gaining rested xp in a video showcasing abilities/class features in beta?
need to be resting to swap out talents now
Ah ok, thanks.
Currently in the beta, you need to be in a rested area to change your talents. So it would make these videos easier because he doesn't have to run into the Shrine just to change talents.
so the damage isn't amplified by hitting low level dummies
preach my main man, when is enhance coming out? keep doing what you do
I actually really like frenzy. I haven't hit 110 yet but at three stacks i'm able to get 3 raging blows in verses 2 without. It makes the spec pretty stable.
Totally random question but what monitor you using these days?
need to bring back sudden death so you can try and weave it into massacre for nice output
Sounds fun. I will totally roll my fury warrior in Legion.
What will be the next class complete preview? Im interested in enhancement shaman ;)
When are you gojng to do enhancement i love it in wod and i really want to se how it plays in legion
RIP Sudden Death procs to execute at any health. Was my favorite part of WoD fury warrior
will you do an updated Ret paly review?
Been waiting for this!!
What do you make of the recent shift in talents?
Is anyone else on the beta having an issue with the Bladestorm animation? My Warrior (fucking love this class now by the way) tends to stand up in the middle of a channel, legs still spinning, but the upper half has the standing animation.
This is an issue how?
You're clearly a demon.
Go preach gaming! Can't wait for demon hunters in WoW Legion!!!😆
But where is our arms warrior video man!!!! :-((((((
Finally I found a spec which might suit my wishes. The fury warrior looks extreme. STAMPF STAMPF! #germanrage
real question I'm asking myself for dps is fury warrior or demonology warlock. both look fun as hell. what do you guys think
Did the change the way "white" damage is displayed or is it an addon?
so whats better for a main dk or warrior, meh should we just respec to pally to cover all 3 roles
i think im still sticking with frost dk been my main for a while now and i like how its looking for legion though i havent gotten to play beta sadly.
I noticed that the target dummy moves according to which way your character strikes. So if you do a "right to left" strike, it bounces back a little more to the left side of where your character attacked. Cool feature xD xD xD xD Ex Dee
They are glyphs that give you more rage you can't say it's always a waste to use the 100 rage talents.
"It feels really clumsy. It's been altered and changed so much that you kinda have to forgive at some point"
Wait, are we talking about the Fury Warrior or the Warcraft Movie? :P
0:40 same... furious slash is a stupid addition.
1:50 "clumsy and falls over on itself" that's pretty much class design in legion.
i wasn't aware people still had a problem with using a cancel macro on enrage and you gain more health than damage taken now with the artifact plus the increased healing and enraged regen change.
the fury warrior is one of the best specs in legion still, but it's not what it could be sadly. you can say that with so many other classes it's almost a bad joke. it's fun to play until you do any sort of actual gameplay which is basically all of the tacked on bullshit by furious slash. it looks amazing but everytime i tested it with new spells and builds it was "yeah, i'm just giving up on this.. they're clearing not listening to anything" and that's why i currently don't have beta installed.
then give your key away :p ?
Loquendero Amv i'm of the thought path that alpha/beta should be tested by those only that have earned it unfortunately. when you give out keys you lesser the skill pool by a dramatic amount of and less testing gets done because of the difficulty is much higher than it normally is for players who just want to see things.
Richard Jones whatever
Can u redo this video for the prepatch because some of the talents have changed
Sad that some talents are kinda meh but happy with how my main spec is doing so far. Looking forward to butchering everything in my path! XD
i hope u do proc warrio. last you mentioned it u said it was lacking and even though i mostly use fury i love the look of the proc wario
if I come back for legion, I'm definitely going for the warrior
I would rather play Fury in Cata than anything this spec has been since Legion ruined everything.
Blizzard making Fury 'Hack&slash' Is the best idea they've had for warriors since Titans Grip.
Can't wait for the Arms preview, but I can't imagine you liking it xD
I love Fury Warriors and I am going to miss using my fist weapons in Legion.
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
How can you say that the "Colossus Smash" style of play has been completely removed, and then utterly skip over Dragon Roar? It's basically a reskinned CS as it stands in the current build.
hey can u make more content about fire mages?
This spec feels like you're mad at the enemy then you spin to slaughter them all then they die then you're pissed that they made you dizzy so you spin to win harder on the next pack.
ME SMASH ;)
Guys, do you think I should race change my warrior to Orc or should I just leave him as Belf? Worried about Mythic logs in Legion. is the 400~ AP worth it?
are you seriously considering changing your race for dps numbers Wich are like 0.1% more ? seriously?
Please.
But Dragon Roar also increases your damage dealt by 20% as well.
Too bad it's a limp dick
