It looks like this particular one has been discontinued. It has been replaced with "Honeywell TH1100DV1000 Pro digital 2 wire heat only" thermostat. The stove has it's own built in thermostat, so any 2 wired thermostat designed for heat should work with the stove. If I find a warehouse that still has thos particular one in stock I'll let you know.
Thank you for this. I have a love hate relationship with this stove. Lol. But dialing it down a bit from stock does indeed help. I wish the exhaust fan would stay at a constant speed. That would help with adjust the flame.
Hey Norman just a quick question we have the kp130 pellet stove in only 420sqft. And I can’t seem to find the right settings. Currently have the draft fan and room fan on auto and pellet feed rate at 3lbs. Either too hot or the fire goes out need help please. Went to bed one night and woke up cold.
I got 1850 wood floors. Having hard time find right setting for draft fan and blower fan setting. Which I should put it on so I get a nice heat in the house. Any suggestions
You can leave in on "A" which is automatic. If you adjust the feed rates and it starts smoking, you may need to got to manual mode to give it more air. I'd recommend just adjusting the feed rate closer to factory setting so you can leave the draft fan on auto.
Thank you for the guides. I don't have a thermostat setup yet. Working on getting one. Should I leave the draft and room fans set to auto or something else?
We run it on auto, but that's up to you. Auto would be the most efficient setting, but manual room fan might distribute heat better throughout your building. You can adjust it higher manually. I'd recommend exhaust fan on auto.
Thank you for responding so quickly. We set the stove to HR-1 @200 seems to work nicely. If I bump it up to HR -3 or higher would I need to adjust anything else or is it auto after I set up HR-1? Thanks again!
@@wiredkamikaze5831 pushing both button down adjusts the low range (hr 1) pushing both buttons up adjusts high range (hr 5). Hr 3 will be kinda in the middle. There may be a way to adjust each number individually but I don't know.
Curious how hot your exhaust pipe gets when running at the higher heat ranges. I have a KP130 and th pipe will get too hot to touch on HR-5. Also does the flame go up and down on all heat ranges
At start up ours is too hot to touch but when it's maintaining the temperature it's touchable. I don't trust the exhaust to come in contact with wood or insulation in the walls or ceiling. I'm wondering if you're referring to the flames reaction to the off/ on cycle of the exhaust fan? It does that to save power and yes that would be on all heat ranges.
@@normanmiller8412 Yes , the flame seems to go up and down in intensity during any of the heat ranges. Even the higher ranges it will go pretty low.then shoot back up. I would think at HR-5 the flame would be pretty consistent. Maybe I’m wrong
I have a question about the room fan speed. Once the stove is running and you go to adjust the room fan speed it only seems to increase speed to 5. After that you can not tell a difference in speed or fan force. Is this the same in all of them? Our neighbors have the same stove and it seems to do the same thing.
I'm at 125 and 250 for my pellets . Where should my air blowers be at ? My pot was overflowing so I lowered the pellet drop amount and of course I messed with the air intake and outtake as well but now I don't know what the air settings should be .
@@T.C.SLOTS. I keep all fans on auto, because with a thermostat they need to be able to speed up and slow down. You could do a factory reset and re adjust pellet flow. That will get your fans back to automatic. Also shoot flow will be hindered if your exhaust points into the wind or is too long, like going though a few stories and through the roof.
What does all the rates in the codes do and mean? Like the feed rate high side is 250 lbs on mine. And 120 on low. Does that mean on HR-1 will give you the 120 per hr? And on HR-5 it will be 250 lbs per hr?
Thank you for your reply. So is that the same with the draft fan? Turning the low factory code up give you more draft in HR-1 And turning the high factory code up for the higher settings for more draft? Cause I don’t have outside air hooked up because I have a 123 year old farm house so it’s not sealed up the greatest.

Thank you for the stove videos. I just bought a King 5510, and you helped me out so much. Thanks again.
I'm glad they helped!

What settings should I use for maximum heat?
Can you explain the draft and room fan settings? Not sure what those are and what setting I should have them at.

Yes ours is like that too. After 5 it doesn't actually speed up.

Tell me about the external thermostat, where to get it and hooking it up
Contact United States Stove, they should be able to supply you with an external thermostat.
my kp 130 came with a thermostat but it is not clear where to put the wire on the stove can you show that
I show it in the video. Yours should be the same.
Has anyone tried burning rice coal in their pellet stove?
That is a good way to destroy one's pellet stove. Coal will even destroy stoves designed for coal.

Have you tried "A" (automatic) setting? Doing a factory reset should also put it in automatic mode.
