      I'm using a modified bulldog jack. I start with a regular trailer jack and grind off the round mounting bracket. Then I weld angle irons to the bottom, and bolt and angle iron on top with some hockey tape around it to keep it from scratching paint. Then, I extend the handle to fit a drill. (In this video, I was using the jack and impact.) I don't use these a lot because the impact is really hard on the gears. A drill is gentle in comparison. Over the years I've built 5 of them, some for others and some for myself. Very handy for lifting sheds!

    What does all the rates in the codes do and mean? Like the feed rate high side is 250 lbs on mine. And 120 on low. Does that mean on HR-1 will give you the 120 per hr? And on HR-5 it will be 250 lbs per hr?

      Thank you for your reply. So is that the same with the draft fan? Turning the low factory code up give you more draft in HR-1 And turning the high factory code up for the higher settings for more draft? Cause I don’t have outside air hooked up because I have a 123 year old farm house so it’s not sealed up the greatest.

      @@T.C.SLOTS. I keep all fans on auto, because with a thermostat they need to be able to speed up and slow down. You could do a factory reset and re adjust pellet flow. That will get your fans back to automatic. Also shoot flow will be hindered if your exhaust points into the wind or is too long, like going though a few stories and through the roof.

I add an angle iron on the top side that's held on by the original bolts. Wrap tape around top angle iron so it doesn't scratch paint and its ready to be used. Anything bigger than unfinished 12x32 almost needs two Jack's per end.

      @@normanmiller8412 interesting. I use a floor jack to lift sheds, then prop the corners with stacked blocks for stability, always lifting on the middle so three points of stable contact. I then use blocks to make the shed lift higher. I like that your jack lifts straight up. Do you have the model number of your jack? Or amazon link? I wonder if a person could use a drop leg to make the jack get taller or shorter.

    Working on a pellet pro and learning this style a bit. Have two breckwell stoves of my own which are a totally different stove. Not better, not worse. I can run .9 pounds per hour easily though because of the manual damper control but I can still run up to over 5 pounds an hour as well. Breckwell has a single exhaust speed with an inline damper to control air flow over the pellets. Not as great of a design for thermostat control or people that don't want to mess with the stove after changing feed rates. I'm guessing these types can't handle the lower pellet usage because the lowest exhaust setting is just too fast and puts the fire out? Ide hate not being able to run it under 16k btu during the warmer spring and fall

      Ours does some too, not sure how to avoid that completely, but it they can still give out heat even if they're not in the burn pot. You could try to go manual mode on the exhaust fan. Around 2-3 works good for us when it's in manual mode. The biggest problem is with a thermostat, your air will need to be turned up or down constantly.. too much air and the fire goes out... too little air and it smokes. Good luck with your stove! Sounds like you got a good supply of air (with sparks flying)

    I have the King KP130. I've used it since 2020. I bought this single wide mobile home with the stove already in it. It's the primary heat source. It'll roast ya out on low heat low blower and with the feed rate so low it barely stays lit. The blower noise all the time I'm not a fan of. I installed electric baseboard heaters to watch my electric meter catch on fire from using monster amounts of electricity. So far it hasn't been any more than pellets would've been. I have it figured it'll cost about the same in electricity as the pellets and electricity do to run the stove but without my time to do the pellet thing and clean it. The goal here is to go electric baseboard and put the pellet stove in the pole barn to replace the wood stove out there and open up room in the mobile home. The KP130 is just too big physically and btu output for this mobile home. These electric baseboard heaters are the bomb! 100% efficiency with toasty walls and windows.

  • @lazybbones
    @lazybbones Рік тому

    (computer keeps cutting me off) Anyway, first of all, the igniter quit the first week we had it, so we light it by hand. For about 5 minutes the auger throws pellets way too fast, and the flame gets too high and blackens the glass; this is with all possible settings set as low as possible. Then, after about 5 minutes, the auger just quits. I can open the door and throw pellets in by hand, but then I get E3 error. I start over, and get the same results. As well as it used to run in the past, I don't really want to get rid of it, but I'm getting tired of fighting with it. Someone else on here said something about replacing the circuit board. I may go that route and see if that helps. There is no way mentioned in the book to adjust the feed rate.

      I think it would be do-able. Probably not very easy. You may want to lay plywood over the angle iron on the ramp and dovetail since tires are pretty small. The other issue you'd run into would be you'd need a middle ramp. Not a good setup but possible with enough work. It has neutral. I pull mine quite a bit with winch.

      @@normanmiller8412 the dovetail and fold out ramps are full width wood, so everything is a solid surface (no angle iron) … I apologize for not giving that info … with that being said, do think the incline and angle would still be ok? Thanks for all the info!

      Obviously I can't guarantee it'll work, but.... an 8x8 is pretty short. The dollys will raise it around 10 inches and so will the mover. If it will bottom out you can always scoot the dolleys closer to the center of building. My guess is if you have an available winch to assist you'll be okay. Strapping a building down on a regular trailer is always hard. My custom trailer just straps down the runners, causing no damage to the building. Running straps across roof can cause damage.

      EZ mover has the power, but traction and angle is a whole nother ball game. I’ve moved 12x20 huge sheds on level ground, winching is sketchy because if it’s downhill and the winch slacks, it’ll flip your mover (ask me how I know ;).

    Hi, Nice videos. I want to do the same thing with our old barn. I will need to hire some help to do it. I am in Mid-Michigan. Can you recommend someone? Thanks and Blessing to you.

      Mid Michigan? There is an amish Community in Clair, there may be someone there that restores barns. Depends where mid Michigan is. Evart, Rosebush, Blanchard, Edmore, and many more areas...
