- Feb. 17, 1991: Desert Wind WB & EB and freights at Cajon, Sullivan's Curve, Blue Cut, and Keenbrook. UPS train w/ warbonnet B40-8Ws can run at passenger train speed through the curves because it has all 4-axle power and all articulated cars.
My grandparents lived just east of the tracks in San Bernardino, and I could look down the street and see the trains go by. Thank you for posting this. It's great to see and hear those trains again, and remember being a kid.
I too had grandparents 10 blocks on Stoddard, East from , I believe the 27th st. Overpass. I watched the trains from under it until I got hungry and come back. Back then it was SD 24s, Alligators, Vs, GP20s
wow, clearly recorded with professional equipment. its like reliving when i was a kid in almost HD.
Shot w/ Sony Hi8 camcorder and fluid- head tripod. Digitized with some serious capture equipment, Glad you enjoyed it; appreciate your comment,
The operator more than the equipment in this case.
the cajon pass sure had fewer tracks back then.
That was back when it was a major bottleneck. Thanks for the comments.
Cool Video
Thanks; One of my personal favourites.
