And we see BNSF power on CN trains in Ontario. Cajon Pass is way heavier than any grade CN faces in Canada, though. 0.75% on Yellowhead Pass at the Continental Divide at BC/Alta, the lowest (and gentlest) of any crossing of the Divide in North America. There is a mountain in view of the tracks (Mt. Robson) that has two vertical miles of mountain exposed. That's how deep the glacier dug out the mountain valleys. Interestingly, the Continental Divide here is between the Arctic and Pacific watersheds, not between Atlantic and Pacific the way it is in most other places in the mountains, including our own Kicking Horse and Crow's Nest Passes further south.
Great foggy Cajon photography, I assume you're out there today (2-26) videoing the snow-covered landscape. Btw, love the upbound train race at the end!
