Marilyn Monroe was the inspiration for this song. Soyeon has said that she admires Marilyn but that people had a false idea about her. She was portrayed as a dumb blonde sex symbol but she was actually quite smart and complex as a human being. Nude is about women being pigeon holed by their image and people not looking beyond that. Taylor Swift is a fine example of this and has addressed it many times.
Soyeon is brilliant, her creativity and imagination are off the hook. She always develops interesting story lines and delivers them in such an artful way. Gidle has been vastly underrated. But, after Lion, Oh My God, Tomboy and now Nxde I feel this is going to be their year for big time recognition.

I always love how Idle songs open a lot of discussions and love to see ppl takes on what the messages they want to convey in their music. If you guys will check their ep. It was recommended to fans that we need to listen from track 6 to Nxde for the whole story and process of LOVE. The tell their story about good and the bad side of it.
This was a very good song and I think the overall theme is women's sexualization and how a woman is nothing else but a sexual object (this is obviously not true). Think about Marilyn Monroe, she was a sex icon but she was told to act "dumb" in movies because idk, maybe men couldn't stand smart and independent women. Nowadays, it might not be that bad (hopefully) but women's sexualization is still a big issue. We still get catcalled when we wear "sexual" stuff like skirts or even jeans which is very sad because well, it's just clothes. So yeah, I think this song attacks that sexualization.
p.s I really love the line "you've got a dirty mind" and how Shuhua says it
Also G-Idle's name in Korean can be translated to girl/child. Korean has a huge issue with child p0rnography, so now when people look up girl/child nude, they will get this music video instead

Not a criticism to you, after the end of the video Title Card, (G)I-Dle thank Marilyn and Banksy for their inspiration for this video. Marilyn was the biggest inspiration as she was the epitome of 'underappreciated sex symbol' and it seems as though Banksy has disdain for the cultural hivemind of what should be accepted as beautiful and luxurious.

the lyrics at the end are off btw, is not "you've got a dirty mind", is "you're the pervert". It's like an answer to the comments you can see on the phone scene, one says "I guess she's a pervert" and others call her dirty or vulgar
(g)-idle sampled Georges Bizet - Carmen "L'amour est un oiseau rebel", a famous opera. With the Marylin Monroe and Banksy inspirations, I believe this MV is also very Moulin rouge and Betty Boop inspired

cube entertainment magic is that they have the most talented artist and staff, producers, editors etc but they suck at promoting and managing that's why you don't see much from cube artist cuz they underrated. hope you can check out btob too they always compose and write themselfs and mostly use instruments rather than beats (cube artist usually does that)
From Beast, 4minute, BtoB, Pentagon and now G-idle... Cube has tons of great singer songwriter but they really suck at promoting them...
But.... They actually better in Cube, even if Cube lack promotion but they were free with their music, imagine if they're in big company...

There is a video I watched about Soyeon, saying that when we search nude in the internet there so many inappropriate things will show, and Soyeon want to change that. That's why they use nude as the name or title of their song.
(G) IDLE is a playword name, in korean they are called something like "The children" (their fandom is called Neverland, as a reference to Peter Pan and his band of eternally young children); So when some men searched for children naked pics in Korea they search for "children"+"Nxde" (Nude is censored and might be tracked since they need to use their IDs to use Internet) so when the song came out and became popular it flooded the pedos' search results, hence the "you are a perv" lyrics were thought out in purpose by Soyeon

This song truly reminds me of a song by Paradiso Girls called "I'm Not Your B*tch" respectively. (I think that's how it's spelled. They have a member or two I'm common with the Pussycat Dolls.) It has the same melody, concept(-ish) and also takes from the "Carmen" opera, while also playing into the burlesque feel because "Carmen" is kinda the original sound behind the trend and style.
"Nude" I think does a much better job of conveying a clear message in saying whay it wants to say. And it's definitely a 20s style whereas the other is EXTREMELY modern in it's portrayal. And not nearly as in depth lyrically either, but I think that's because most of the thought was, understandably, put into driving home the meaning that, well... "I'm Not Your B*tch". 🤷♀️
I believe it's "Who's My B**ch" in case you were still wondering about the title! Definitely has a similar vibe to this, just very clearly a song from 2010 :'D
