We really need a petition to get these guys to make a Band of Brothers/ Pacific Style Miniseries about SOG. I think it would be a huge success there’s so many people that are obsessed with these stories!!
Just a Vietnam mini series of some kind. Many things made Band Of Brothers the greatest but what really set it apart from the Pacific story wise was the state side training as a group then going off to battle as a group.
Thank you tilt and Jocko for a location where Americans that are feeling very negative about the actions of our current government leaders can go to and be revitalized by true US HEROS and their actions for all our citizens.
Real men standing strong. Heroes each one. Every young man should be mandated to listen to at least three of these podcasts. The courage of these men should be what men ASPIRE to be. To display this level of courage in any profession.
Another chapter of History that we should "Never forget". The politics aside, we should never forget the bravery and character of these men. Amazing courage.
John Stryker Myer " Tilt ". Is fat and away the Best podcaster. I've ever listened to . I can honestly say that he and his fellow SOG members are some of the most heroic soldiers that ever served our Great Republic . Every mission they undertook would be Worthy of medals . These young men were truly the BEST and the BRIGHTEST .
Far and away! Since finding his podcast, the algorithm of UA-cam has been sending many episodes. It makes all other podcasts look bad. This is about real life. This is not theory or abstract thought about the war. My family has Vietnam vets. I have more respect for them every day. Thank you to ALL of these brave men. They deserve unending respect for these acts of courage... Thank you to Jocko for bringing honor to those who served.
I absolutely love listening to these stories. The things you men did and accomplished back then are more than amazing & inspiring. Thank all who have served and gave all 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Yes, am always blown away by the humility of these men. Their sacrifice should never be forgotten. This is what "service to the country" means. It is the epitome of service. Bless you all.
Thank you all that made this possible iam a fan from Portugal 🇵🇹 and i always listen to all sogcasts, they are better then any movie,i dont have military background but i admire the warrior spirit, respect gentlemans and please keep doing the great job you guys do 💪
The guy that does these interviews has an amazing memory. I've watched a few of these and he fills in all the blanks, dates, places, etcetera of the people telling their stories. I can't remember what happened yesterday most of the time.
Great interview Tilt! Babyson even mentioned "Mad Dog" Jerry Shriver. Reading another comment in this Podcast. Referencing a type of "Band of Brothers " For all the SOG men. That would be great. The same people that created the band of brothers need to make that Saga about all of you Very Brave American Sons. That would keep it from being Hollywood "cheesy". No Wokeness!! John you are doing a good thing by bringing these stories to the light. I am reading Lynn Blacks book Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Wish he were sitting next to you while doing these Podcasts. I have read all three of your books. You guys have some real Brass Balls, doing those missions day in and day out. Lived through it to tell about it. Thank you John. God Bless You and Your Family and Keep You Safe!!! Thank you Jocko!!! Airborne All the Way!! Lev
These stories are fascinating. I grew up in Fayetteville, both folks retired army. I actually worked as civilian OPFOR at McColl for a couple years. I still live in the area
Man if Hollywood ever caught on to this podcast their would be a whole new tv series something like the 1980’s tour of duty. Or your books tilt could be a mini series
I was lucky enough to meet Bruce Crandall. When i got out of the army in 2012 i was invited to a galla in las vegas. It was a 4 or 5 day stay lots of shows and entertainment. I met bruce crandall there along with many other Medal of Honor recipients. It was a great time. We had a open bar the whole time. it was amazing to drink and talk with such an amazing group of people.
As far as I’m concerned all the names of the SOG Warriors should be forever remembered the same as Hector and Achilles or Alexander the Great. You guys are and were the ultimate warriors and heroes 😢
Not soldiers, but Warriors! I am sure that if truth be told, there would be endless stories of Warriors in that conflict. Heart is what separates these men.
Man, I love everyone of these videos. Vietnam shows and books is why I wanted to join the army. But this episode was a harder one to follow, it like they couldn't get in the usual flow., they kept cutting each other off, and dates. anyways I loved these stories. This is true American History. Mr Clete, this guy went threw through, came back train, joined SF, and went back to another specialized unit. These were men of men.
Another great interview. Thanks Tilt & Clete. Someone mention sog cast shirts to help sponsor these interviews. Great idea. Id certainly buy and donate.
A deep dive is to read the Congressional Hearing on the problems with the M-16. See the last section where they suggested criminal prosecution of some people involved; for comparison see the scandal of the mal-functioning torpedos in WWII. How many people are on THE WALL because there weapon mal-functioned in a fire-fight. Shame; never forget, never forgive.
Wow just wow!! My dad landed on Omaha beach D day plus 1. Made it all the way to Germany and Back. Had 8 kids, ran the VFW all his life and never talked about it. I wish now I would have asked him.
I see people saying that. The right channel works for me, the volume is a bit lower but when I take off the left earbud I can hear the podcast just fine with the right one.
The story about the lone guy with the AK walking and whistling up the trail kind of sounded like bait. Just too good. Maybe his saying no saved they're butts because who knows who was watching.
Holy shit, I spent a few months on the Darby while I was with the Saratoga in the shipyard. It was the rustiest bucket I ever had the misfortune of being berthed on.
Not to put Marcus down but Lone Survivor has nothing on these gentlemen. These men invented being tough and led the way to what are special operators today. I love listening to these podcast and truly believe Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it
I read a book called “ The Dying Place” that was a fictional account of a SOG team. Written by David Maurer published in 1986. The character is Sam Walden who sounds like Sam Waltons son of Walmart fame . Who in fact was a SOG operator.
I sincerely love these SOG cast, however there's a audio problem in every single one of them that only one audio channel plays with headphones. Echo Charles please fix this or whoever is producing the podcast. -That is all thank you
Audio works ok for me. One channel is lower than the other but not so much that it would bother. Try taking out the right-hand earbud to see if the left channel works or not. ;-)
If Tilt wasn't here to fill in gaps and add clarification...this would have been an incomprehensible mess... I grew up with a MACV-SOG SFC when I was a little boy... his stories just scratched the surface of the insane danger he was in as a 2 1/2 tour Hatchet Force/Mike Force and CCN NCO...
I've known of Jerry " Mad Dog " Shriver for many many years. I knew he was a legend but we really haven't heard alot of his experiences. I heard he preferred being in the field rather on post and some say he had gone " native". I'm interested in this new book if it has more stories of him.
Love the channel. Can anything be done about increasing the recording volume? I seem to really struggle to hear you guys when i do not have any issues on Jockos channel. Thanks
For 'Happy Veterans Day" y'all may drop in.... your dinners are on me! Heck, anybody who can out-drink me doing beers, I'll even pick up your tabs!! ...bookoo dinki dau😂
We really need a petition to get these guys to make a Band of Brothers/ Pacific Style Miniseries about SOG. I think it would be a huge success there’s so many people that are obsessed with these stories!!
And they're still here to tell the story
That's a great way to put it
Just a Vietnam mini series of some kind. Many things made Band Of Brothers the greatest but what really set it apart from the Pacific story wise was the state side training as a group then going off to battle as a group.
I'd love it if they did a series, based on these guys stories. Taylor Sheridan should do it, he could pull it off
I agree 100percent!
Thank you tilt and Jocko for a location where Americans that are feeling very negative about the actions of our current government leaders can go to and be revitalized by true US HEROS and their actions for all our citizens.
Canadians too!!! lol we had a few guys join sog… our men didn’t agree with our gov not entering the war with USA they joined American services..
Keep them coming Tilt! The Grey haired warriors you and Jocko host are the last standing legacy of the greatest generation. Thanks for this..
I thank you for covering our western flank while we were humpn the paddies in the Delta in 1968....
Another great SOG cast Mr. Meyer thank you so much for letting these hero's tell their stories .
what could be better than a new SOG cast in a week but two new SOG cast's in the same week. incredible hero's on every episode.
This is another fantastic episode of SOGCast.
Real men standing strong. Heroes each one. Every young man should be mandated to listen to at least three of these podcasts. The courage of these men should be what men ASPIRE to be. To display this level of courage in any profession.
These podcast are priceless American history. Thanks so much for sharing! Semper Fi!

@@jmathews470I am pretty sure that he meant to say FAR. The keyboard is small and one has to watch spelling. 😊
I absolutely love listening to these stories. The things you men did and accomplished back then are more than amazing & inspiring. Thank all who have served and gave all 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Agreed!
Well stated.
Amazing stories guys. God bless our veterans. Thank you so much.
These Sogcast are great, you guys are so humble. And you remember dates so well. Love your shows.! Thanks to you and Jocko for bringing them to us.
Yes, am always blown away by the humility of these men. Their sacrifice should never be forgotten. This is what "service to the country" means. It is the epitome of service. Bless you all.

It's an absolute honor to hear from these veterans. Thank you.
The humble heroes!! Amazing stories! God bless you all.
The guy that does these interviews has an amazing memory. I've watched a few of these and he fills in all the blanks, dates, places, etcetera of the people telling their stories. I can't remember what happened yesterday most of the time.
That would be John - Tilt - Stryker Meyer.
Only John's knowledge could pull the stories out so effectively. Great job for sure.
Thanks for all the history and outstanding stories. Living legends. Thank all you guys.

Thank you John and Clete, great podcast.

Excellent! My second time listening to this particular song cast...

Listening and watching every single episode!!!

John, you do a great job. Thank you.

I would buy a sog shirt with these legends on it in a heartbeat

Another great interview. Thanks Tilt & Clete.

Another truly fascinating chronicle of Sogcast. Bravo once again 👌🙏
Respect as always. 🫡
Real men , Real heroes 👏 🙏💞
Yeah!!! Another episode of SOGCast!!!
Technical comment. I got audio left only on my headset. Keep em coming though!
Great...as always. I really look forward to these. Thank you
just wanted to show continued support, great work John
Could listen to you guys every day . Please don't stop working
Always bringing the best podcast! Keep it up
Keep the legend alive🇺🇸
When the M-16 were first released they jammed sometimes. They found the wrong powder was used. After they changed the powder the problem was solved.
A deep dive is to read the Congressional Hearing on the problems with the M-16. The Audio is off. The last 3 SOG episodes, only my left ear bud works.
Thoughf it was my pods at first
Right

Major respect!!
These guys won that war. All aspects
Thanks for the great stories. Sound seems to be coming from just one speaker btw.
thank you for your service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can already tell this is gonna be good
If Audie Murphy had served in the Pacific, I guess he also would have been tagged with "Babysan".
Not to put Marcus down but Lone Survivor has nothing on these gentlemen. These men invented being tough and led the way to what are special operators today. I love listening to these podcast and truly believe Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it
I can't compare dif eras, dif enviorments, circimstances & missions but I get it.
Same courage as the men who climbed out of the trenches in WW I or storming the beach in Normandy in WW II. 😮
As a current Soldier, it’s cool to see these badass old men talk about being in their prime. These men were nothing to trifle with. Holy shit.
Warrior indeed !
Awesome stories from a REAL Pathfinder
Are any of the guys from Spike team Alabama alive? I've been waiting ages to see that podcast.
I read a book called “ The Dying Place” that was a fictional account of a SOG team. Written by David Maurer published in 1986. The character is Sam Walden who sounds like Sam Waltons son of Walmart fame . Who in fact was a SOG operator.
The best of the best !
There are Myths, Legends, and Heros. Then there's MAC-V SOG above them all.
😅😅😅
Grandes homens!! Deus os abençoe!! Carlos Brasil!!

I wish Stryker would let people finish a sentence once in a while.
Indeed 😊
We're here for their stories, interrupting them when they are remembering is irritating.
I see, I click, I watch
Fast as I get notified
Another stud.
Thanks
GOD *** THE AUTHORITY AND CREATOR ****
Amen to that!
only one side of my headphones work when listening the SOGCASTs, or at least these later ones that is the case. anything else on YT they are fine.
Bravo bro's
Title: 'Just Click This 018'
I've known of Jerry " Mad Dog " Shriver for many many years. I knew he was a legend but we really haven't heard alot of his experiences.
I heard he preferred being in the field rather on post and some say he had gone " native".
I'm interested in this new book if it has more stories of him.
Awesome!
Best podcast in the world
I missed the war but I served 8 years 77-85 , 1 thing I learned never volunteer for nothing lol
Hi TILT. Can you do a Interview on my SOG! Family Member B.B Marshall please? I would love to just hear his Story?
Please watch you volume. This one is a bit lower than normal and thanks for the content. Dear friend was SOG III.
Babysan doesn’t use the ATM, he makes a tactical withdrawal
Love the channel. Can anything be done about increasing the recording volume? I seem to really struggle to hear you guys when i do not have any issues on Jockos channel. Thanks
That good ol' notification
Waiting for a new SOGcast, what's the hold up?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤❤
Let the guy tell his story. It’s like you Interrupt to finish his sentences.
Badassness
Any one of these men could be published in the dictionary as how to define what a "badass" is. 😅
What book(s) best encapsulates all these sogcast stories?
Are all the head phone listeners only getting one side with sound on these? That's all I'm getting on the SOG cast
For 'Happy Veterans Day" y'all may drop in.... your dinners are on me! Heck, anybody who can out-drink me doing beers, I'll even pick up your tabs!!
...bookoo dinki dau😂
November 8,9,10 and we're just getting this?
Not gonna lie, as soon as you said "Cleetus" I really expected it to be followed by McFarland.....
Mel Gibson Sam Elliott star in the move
Sound is mono. 017 too.
Audio only works on one headphone
Why does he keep interfering with the interview
We have the same pronunciation of our last name. Mine just has an I instead of a y.
