Known Frank 40+yrs. Never heard him raise his voice in anger but rest assured Frank altho seemingly humble is a self assured warrior for America to this day. Thank you for honoring this fine man with this podcast.
I could never get bored of watching these Sogcasts.
Should check out Jocko 180. Start There.
I soooo look forward to these stories. Thank you Frank and Tilt!
Thanks Tilt for another great interview. I lost my left hand in Vietnam (plus other injuries) and wouldn’t change a thing. Love the podcast.
Thank you for your service Irwin!
Thank you for fighting for our freedom so very grateful
These are the best stories about Vietnam I've ever heard by far . These men are way above and beyond in terms of heroics . Thank you for your service gentlemen .
Wish I could sit down and listen to these men for hours. Thank you for your service from a grateful Canadian
1st time i recall hearing SSG Jerry Shriver`s name being mentioned on Sog cast. Ive only read about him in books.
Would be awesome to hear some more about SSG Shriver and his exploits from guys that served with him.
Thanks for another great Sog cast Tilt.
agreed, I think Don Hasse mentioned him too (although not sure if it was his sogcast interview)
2nd the idea about interviewing more SOG who knew Shriver!
Appreciate the share Frank P.
These stories are amazing, I'm so glad these legends can talk about their experiences now, fantastic history that must be preserved. Thank you Tilt/ Mr. Meyer and Jocko and crew for sharing these with us all.
Mr. Stryker enjoyed your books about SOG.
Please don’t ever stop these Sogcasts.
I wish I had something different to add Tilt and Jocko but like every one else who hears these historic American hero ‘s recounts I am in awe . And so lucky to have these men tell me about their magnificent service to my country.
Tilt you’re the F*UCKING MAN, thank you for all the recent uploads!! These are amazing, true and heroic stories. Greatly appreciated and needed!!! Thank you both for your service.
Semper Fidelis
Reminds me of the stories my dad used to tell me as a young man. Especially about the instant ranger battalion story and the draw downs during the Ford and Carter era. My dad end up in Fort Hood on that whole plan of a third ranger battalion. He end up retiring because he could not get back to group. Great memories and thank you
Thank you once again Mr. Meyer !! I could listen to these SOG casts for hours .
Bravo Sogcast, another brilliant chronicle of a time in history... 👏👏👏
SOGcast always goes to the top of my podcast list!
This is my great uncle… greatest man I’ve ever know love him to death.
Just got done reading across the fence thank you brave warriors.
What a great interview and a beautiful telling of this hero’s life. RIP to his lady.
Thank you for your service and special thanks for telling your stories. I really do appreciate it.
It's great to hear these stories straight from the actual Recon men. There is so much BS spread by people who were never part of SOG. Or even in the Service.
A discussion about RT Arizona would be great.

DANG, Idaho got wiped out TWICE. God bless our vets. Good job guys 👍
Hey tilt ! Jocko! Echo! Last couple episodes only had one side of audio …. Used to be stereo now it’s mono …. Love these interviews! Keep ‘em coming
I picked up on that too... Thought my right ear was gettin older 👍
I thought my head phones was crapping out lol… had to play voodoo Chile to make sure they still worked 😂
Agree left side only. Was like wtf.
Same here. Last couple great interviews were like that. I'm hoping Jocko's team gets it figured out.
Impossible to listen to without headphones too. I play off my phone and volume is waaayy low😢
Great interview Tilt. Thank you for bringing us the history and first hand accounts of the secret war, and all the hero’s, including yourself, that fought it.
Excellent guest. Love my southern boys, they sound like home. Thanks for bringing us these amazing stories of these amazing men that kept quiet for so so long.
tilt .... having the nickname Tilt in that era , would be like everyone calling you DragonBalls... theres some gravity with it
Welcome Home Frank 🪖🇺🇲💥🎯, and thanks for putting a smile on my face with the President Brandon joke at the end 😂
I’ve always been big on stories from Vietnam. A few of my uncles would tell me stories of their recon missions and they always said it was the best years of their life. Being surrounded by men on the same mission, there just isn’t any feeling like it. I’m glad to be able to hear these stories.
FYI. These podcasts are in mono and not stereo. This is the only podcast I hear in just a single side of a set of earphones
Hey mister striker please do more your show is my favorite podcast on the internet. My dad was a Vietnam vet who very rarely spoke of it except for some stories that were so crazy they were hard to believe but you're show seems to make all those stories true. So thank you and please keep going. I can't believe your show hasn't gone viral
Audio only plays from left side of earpods
I love theses I've listened to the books whispers in the tall grass and we few and getting to hear stories from guys in those books are awesome
Gentlemen, there’s an issue with your comms. We’re only getting audio from the left side. Love your podcast either way!
Raleigh, NC native here. Good to see a fellow triangle man doing work 🙌🤝

Indeed! Another Great Sogcast!!
Please keep them coming!!! Thank you
Thanks guys for posting these. Keep ‘‘em coming!
I would like to see if there is a setting that would allow stereo playback through headphones. It switched from stereo to mono a couple of episodes back and I only get audio out of my left headphone on this podcast.
Love Frank! He is such a funny guy but a helluva warrior! The Tar Heel
Incredible stories.
By comparison in 1970 I was 7 years old and had mastered tying my shoes .
My hat is off in respect for these SOG warriors. Welcome home patriots 🇺🇲🙏💞
Hopefully A SOG Movie will develop ! Outstanding history from these brave warriors, God Bless America !
Hollyweird doesn't care.
Thankyou, for everything, these give so much joy
With all due respect, Sir when are WE having the chance to hear from “the great” Lynn Black? Asking for a friend 👍🏼

Can Jason confirm Gary from Paris,Mo./ RT Alaska, was last man killed in SOG? Attention! Hand Salute!
Loved this one. Definitely one of my favorites. Especially the story about that jeep and the snoopy hat 😂😂
God Bless John, Jocko Production, and all the podcast supporters
Outstanding content! Can't get enough.
My grandpa was long range recon patrol in Vietnam and I remember one Thanksgiving we were shooting the m4 at some golf balls and coke cans and he shot each target without a miss and super fast. That's when I knew how bad ass he had to of been.
Keep them coming!
Awesome, freewill and independent thought, the unique characteristics of the rebellious Americans, Airborne all the way brother 🐓☠️

What a way to start the work day. These men's stories need to be heard. Tilt, still waiting on you to talk Mr Lynne Black into talking.
He has. It's on Spotify
Late to the party! Two parts on Spotify

Great podcast
I’ve been curious about the confederate “phuc communism” Car15 patch since I was 14. Not only did I get to learn but it was truly a powerful moment when Frank told the story.
I love these shows, but could you please fix the audio? When the show starts you hear the song in both headphones but as it gets going one cuts out this has been a problem for a long time and with wanting to hear these guys and stories that makes it very difficult to Enjoy Maybe echo could help you figure it out.
I think you need to get Dick Elgin on the show he flew loach in 69 then went back in 70 flew loach and Huey. He is from St.James Missouri and wrote a book called Should of played the flute. Please interview him I believe he did some across the fence stuff he flew spooks around. I think he would be a good addition
Idk if it’s just mine but I try to listen to these at work but I can only hear it through one side of my headphone and work inna loud machine shop can’t rly hear it figured I’d lyk
Tilt's reaction at the mention of RT Kansas. Would be interesting to do a bit about each of the RT teams & their significant actions.
🇺🇸Tilt🇺🇸 “trade in your 3 pronged M-16 for a 3 pronged pitchfork” 😂 !!! Your incredible humor and personality kill me !!!! Best wishes brother !
Great patch
Peace be with you all. I was born Feb 70.
Would love to hear from someone who served with Roy Benevedes
The audio was so quiet. Fast forwared to midway and it was still too quiet.
Oscar 8 is a terrible fate.
I appreciate your time
Can you tell us what "strap hanging" is?
I so wish they had go pros back then.
You guys should print up and sell those shirts Tilt has on - kinda like selling a Michael Jordan jersey. I bet you would sell a ton of them.
What are the books being written by Jason? Didn’t catch the last name
Jason hardy Sog books
1:18:22 Papa Yankee ~ thank you for your service to our country, in its plight against oppressive communism, sir !! Always TILT ~ always //( - - )
Why cant i hear the interview sound is ok but then it shutds off
5:14 I believe the phrase they were looking for was "young, dumb, and full of courage"
Yup. Hot, drippy courage.
I know this has nothing to do with the video but my father was a teletype specialist in the Comm Center Vietnam and I think he might have had something to do with sock if tilt has anything to know of any of the teletype specialist wonder if they could ever have a podcast with them
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Every collection asset KNEW that '72 offensive was coming. I wonder how many "consumers" were informed.
more mad dog shriver stories.
41:39 - Liberating a Jeep, after a USO show.
Always record in stereo. This is recorded to the left side only. Don't pan your mics.
