Known Frank 40+yrs. Never heard him raise his voice in anger but rest assured Frank altho seemingly humble is a self assured warrior for America to this day. Thank you for honoring this fine man with this podcast.
These are the best stories about Vietnam I've ever heard by far . These men are way above and beyond in terms of heroics . Thank you for your service gentlemen .
Thank you Mr.Canada! These men all displayed an extraordinary level of courage. They deserve our gratitude from every one of us. If life was just, they would get a silver star each time they crossed the fence. Captivating conversation. Tilt, you have a real gift for interviews. You draw the information so that we can have just a very thin slice of the reality they experienced in SOG.
These stories are amazing, I'm so glad these legends can talk about their experiences now, fantastic history that must be preserved. Thank you Tilt/ Mr. Meyer and Jocko and crew for sharing these with us all.
Thank you for giving your devotion and your hand. I am sure that you will bare the burden each and every day! Thank you again. I am sure that you have an interesting story to share 😮
I wish I had something different to add Tilt and Jocko but like every one else who hears these historic American hero ‘s recounts I am in awe . And so lucky to have these men tell me about their magnificent service to my country.
1st time i recall hearing SSG Jerry Shriver`s name being mentioned on Sog cast. Ive only read about him in books. Would be awesome to hear some more about SSG Shriver and his exploits from guys that served with him. Thanks for another great Sog cast Tilt.
Great interview Tilt. Thank you for bringing us the history and first hand accounts of the secret war, and all the hero’s, including yourself, that fought it.
I’ve always been big on stories from Vietnam. A few of my uncles would tell me stories of their recon missions and they always said it was the best years of their life. Being surrounded by men on the same mission, there just isn’t any feeling like it. I’m glad to be able to hear these stories.
Excellent guest. Love my southern boys, they sound like home. Thanks for bringing us these amazing stories of these amazing men that kept quiet for so so long.
Reminds me of the stories my dad used to tell me as a young man. Especially about the instant ranger battalion story and the draw downs during the Ford and Carter era. My dad end up in Fort Hood on that whole plan of a third ranger battalion. He end up retiring because he could not get back to group. Great memories and thank you
Tilt you’re the F*UCKING MAN, thank you for all the recent uploads!! These are amazing, true and heroic stories. Greatly appreciated and needed!!! Thank you both for your service. Semper Fidelis
It's great to hear these stories straight from the actual Recon men. There is so much BS spread by people who were never part of SOG. Or even in the Service. A discussion about RT Arizona would be great. Raymond Echevarria, Jim Jones, Eddie Williams MIA Laos 10-03-66
I am always amazed by the memory of these Vets. Frank made one mistake and actually apologized. All of his wisdom is greatly appreciated! I can only imagine that combat sears the memory into the brain. I do know enough about psychology that the weight of these experiences will be carried to the end of the life. Life saving memories do not fail. 😮
Thanks guys for posting these. Keep ‘‘em coming! I would like to see if there is a setting that would allow stereo playback through headphones. It switched from stereo to mono a couple of episodes back and I only get audio out of my left headphone on this podcast.
My grandpa was long range recon patrol in Vietnam and I remember one Thanksgiving we were shooting the m4 at some golf balls and coke cans and he shot each target without a miss and super fast. That's when I knew how bad ass he had to of been.
I’ve been curious about the confederate “phuc communism” Car15 patch since I was 14. Not only did I get to learn but it was truly a powerful moment when Frank told the story.
I love these shows, but could you please fix the audio? When the show starts you hear the song in both headphones but as it gets going one cuts out this has been a problem for a long time and with wanting to hear these guys and stories that makes it very difficult to Enjoy Maybe echo could help you figure it out.
I think you need to get Dick Elgin on the show he flew loach in 69 then went back in 70 flew loach and Huey. He is from St.James Missouri and wrote a book called Should of played the flute. Please interview him I believe he did some across the fence stuff he flew spooks around. I think he would be a good addition
Small world indeed: I think Frank and I are related. And I have a son finishing up SF training as a 18C now. The cadre asked him if he new Frank, and he didn't. He does now.
In my opinion 90 percent of the guys that were a part of this sog thing should be holding the medal of honor. If you listen to these stories every mission was crazier than the last.. true american warrior savages.. these guys need to be the role models of todays millitary.. stop all this gender equity and racism bullshit and lets get back to business.. GO TRUMP. MAGA!!!!!
Idk if it’s just mine but I try to listen to these at work but I can only hear it through one side of my headphone and work inna loud machine shop can’t rly hear it figured I’d lyk
I know this has nothing to do with the video but my father was a teletype specialist in the Comm Center Vietnam and I think he might have had something to do with sock if tilt has anything to know of any of the teletype specialist wonder if they could ever have a podcast with them

Thanks Tilt for another great interview. I lost my left hand in Vietnam (plus other injuries) and wouldn’t change a thing. Love the podcast.
Thank you for your service Irwin!
Thank you for fighting for our freedom so very grateful
Thank you for giving your devotion and your hand. I am sure that you will bare the burden each and every day! Thank you again. I am sure that you have an interesting story to share 😮

It's great to hear these stories straight from the actual Recon men. There is so much BS spread by people who were never part of SOG. Or even in the Service.

Mr. Stryker enjoyed your books about SOG.
What a wonderful, rounded human being. Thank you for sharing..
Gentlemen, there’s an issue with your comms. We’re only getting audio from the left side. Love your podcast either way!

Agree left side only. Was like wtf.
Same here. Last couple great interviews were like that. I'm hoping Jocko's team gets it figured out.

Respect. I truly mean it. Thank you all.
Another humble hero. This is good stuff!

He has. It's on Spotify
Late to the party! Two parts on Spotify

My grandpa was long range recon patrol in Vietnam and I remember one Thanksgiving we were shooting the m4 at some golf balls and coke cans and he shot each target without a miss and super fast. That's when I knew how bad ass he had to of been.
Awesome, freewill and independent thought, the unique characteristics of the rebellious Americans, Airborne all the way brother 🐓☠️
Can Jason confirm Gary from Paris,Mo./ RT Alaska, was last man killed in SOG? Attention! Hand Salute!
I’ve been curious about the confederate “phuc communism” Car15 patch since I was 14. Not only did I get to learn but it was truly a powerful moment when Frank told the story.

Tilt's reaction at the mention of RT Kansas. Would be interesting to do a bit about each of the RT teams & their significant actions.
Small world indeed: I think Frank and I are related. And I have a son finishing up SF training as a 18C now. The cadre asked him if he new Frank, and he didn't. He does now.

The audio was so quiet. Fast forwared to midway and it was still too quiet.
Great patch
5:14 I believe the phrase they were looking for was "young, dumb, and full of courage"
Yup. Hot, drippy courage.
1:18:22 Papa Yankee ~ thank you for your service to our country, in its plight against oppressive communism, sir !! Always TILT ~ always //( - - )
Can you tell us what "strap hanging" is?
more mad dog shriver stories.
You guys should print up and sell those shirts Tilt has on - kinda like selling a Michael Jordan jersey. I bet you would sell a ton of them.
What are the books being written by Jason? Didn’t catch the last name
Jason hardy Sog books
I know this has nothing to do with the video but my father was a teletype specialist in the Comm Center Vietnam and I think he might have had something to do with sock if tilt has anything to know of any of the teletype specialist wonder if they could ever have a podcast with them
Why cant i hear the interview sound is ok but then it shutds off
Every collection asset KNEW that '72 offensive was coming. I wonder how many "consumers" were informed.
