I knew you were efficient just based on the fact that you continue to regular uploads while working a full schedule, being on trauma call, raising 3 kids, being married, and all the other things that nobody else realizes. We appreciate you Dr. Webb.
1) wake up early 2) set a routine 3) set objectives/tasks ahead (More and more things to do over time with less and less of time) 4) use templates 5) prioritize & delegate
I go into every day with the mindset of "Attack the day". I set out to accomplish small goals daily, and it keeps me moving forward. In life you can only move forward. Always moving forward.
The amount of knowledge and skills a qualified doctor should possess is unbelievably huge and daunting for nonmedical laymen to imagine. Really tough journey but also rewarding if you love it.
Im in my first semester of med school at 18 anf your not lying about the amount of information. Thank you for the tips becuase i always feel as though i have no time for anything.
Thanks doc, vid’s like this inspires me to keep on working to achieve my dream, to become a surgeon like you. Ever since I was 11, I wanted to become a surgeon to help people and save their lives. I am overwhelmed of what type of surgeon i wanna be when I get older, because I like cardio thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, and ortho surgery all at once. I hope one day I get to become as successful as you are. ❤
I’ve made several videos on this Here are a few ua-cam.com/video/HwCbvLDPAtI/v-deo.htmlsi=8EVTFH_7VaC03dmZ ua-cam.com/video/mI6B1hTra_g/v-deo.htmlsi=2PclGAmAHoDHTsPB ua-cam.com/video/b4HIwKZF74U/v-deo.htmlsi=p2cvDTI5Y98g6ONh
Thanks a lot for the advise. Not an easy act to follow, but Lord knows how much I need to organize my life and my daily bread( also has to do with pt care at a retail pharmacy level). I believe it is doable if one sets the mind, and find time from the daily hassles. I am encouraged by your 5 steps. No doubt it will require me to be super disciplined, I am going to try and accomplish one step at a time. May not be the exact way, but definitely similar to it. Appreciate it.
My spine is very unstable and causing me a lot of pain, I’m going to a spine clinic soon. I’ll probably have to get surgery eventually. Better late than never.
Great suggestions ! I used ideas similar to this while going through the AF Pararescue medic school at Kirkland AFB in the early 70's and later while going through the police academy.
I’m in med school in my 3rd year on surgery rotation. I wake up at 430 and have to be there by 530-600. I’d have to get up at 330 to have extra free time to get stuff done lol
Most people need 8 hours to sleep. Usually you fall sleep within the first hour, so you truly need about 7 hours of actual sleep. If you have a routine, your body will eventually adjust due to it's circadiam rhythm. The first month though, you will probably be groggy as your body adjust.
Hey what's up Dr. Webb! Hope all is great with you. Thanks a lot for the efficiency tips. We can all use more info on how to be better and I appreciate you for sharing. As usual, be well, be safe and Peace & Blessings sir
1) wake up early, free space to work without distractions, very focused 2) Routine, will make doing tasks sm easier!! routines >> u wanna built habits >> sucess. displine v important. 3) Set objectives , set tasks for the day. easy to work towards a clear defined goal. daily list of tasks check across the day. esp for medical school, when the work load increases and time for completion of tasks decreases u need to be v efficient. 4) Set templates, for repititive tasks instead of doing them again each time you can minimize the time by having a set template. (this is a good new tip) 5) Priotize & delegate (ahead of time) maybe people that you want to help you to be successful. don't be afraid to get help and delegate tasks to other people (ex. his yt)

Dr Webb Can you talk about the Spinal fusion surgery?
Applause to your skillset
Can you make a video on future exams you have to take as a board certified orthopedic spine surgeon?
I tried to delegate the dishes to my wife and it didn't work out. We got in a fight; instructions unclear. 🤣
how do Drs come off as confident and poised?
@Dr Webb. Do you also wake up at 4:30am on weekends?
Yes
I understand that you need to wake up early but, what is a reasonable amount of time to sleep?
Most people need 8 hours to sleep. Usually you fall sleep within the first hour, so you truly need about 7 hours of actual sleep. If you have a routine, your body will eventually adjust due to it's circadiam rhythm. The first month though, you will probably be groggy as your body adjust.
I would like to delegete the studying section
4:30am wake up???? chillllleeeeee naw. lol

Of course
First comment.
