Born in 1959. Watched 1967 through 1977 back to back to back, and it truly was like my life flsahed before my eyes... only better... I'm not dead... heh heh heh.. tnx j

I was born June of this year, so I don't remember jack squat. I did some research lately and found out the popular song around the time of my birth was "School's Out" by Alice Cooper, so that's way cool!

I was 17 years old and remember setting around with my mom and dad watching all in the family Sanford and son good times. I mess that more than anything because my mom and dad are dead. Lord what I would give to just set around just one more time with my mother and father and watch these old shows again.

Johnnyboy792 This is the year I was hatched 8/19/72. You know I like it it's 3:00 am on the Friday night/ Saturday morning and I'm on a 70s marathon. It's funny the older I get how the priorities change. Just 10 years ago, never could I imagine siting home on the weekend and being perfectly çontent with it.
Then again 10 years ago I didn't sub to Johnny and his fabulous clips. Makes all the difference. Thanks.

The year I missed. January 1972 was the time I went to Vietnam. We all knew though that Hanoi Jane betrayed the American vet. My draft number 32. In June of 73 when I came home the Christmas tree was still up and the family celebrated Christmas that I missed.

A wave of happy emotions came over me for being grateful that I never experienced or even seen all these events from America. Just looking at all those images would have given me nightmares.

June 6, 1972. The day I went to basic training. I distinctly remember being at the airport on the way and hearing that song "It's too late to turn back now" by Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose and the only thing I could think of was "no s**t".

I'm in the UK but I remember The Night Stalker and watched The Poseidon Adventure at my local cinema. We had All In The Family here, too, which was based on Till Death Us Do Part. I also remember Governor Wallace being shot and the last moon landing by Apollo 17, Eugene Cernan was the last man to walk on the moon.
Yes I do, I remember before that! I was 11 and I had my parents so life was good. Tom Bosley doing the Shasta commercial. Both blacks and whites used to coexist, sit and have a laugh watching All in the family and the Jefferson's, but we de-evolved

MrBrymstond it sure seems like that. I'm from NYC, I don't think it was like that all over the country. I think parts of the Midwest, where j live now, have not been as progressive and never really mingled like some other places.

1972 is my favorite year. So many good movies, TV shows, music. I was 12 years old. Good year. The Waltons is still my favorite program. I remember the TV movie "Gargoyles" was the one movie that I've ever seen that really scared me.

I turned 8 the fall of 1972, but it was a significant year in my life, as my younger brother was born. I have 5 older siblings, but he was MY baby. He died in 1992 and I still miss him every day.
THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE was the true MONSTER HIT of 1972 thru 1973 and then again in rerelease in 1975. GREAT MOVIE!

I saw it on its re-release (I turned 8 in the fall of '72) and it definitely ranks among my all-time favorite movies, along with "Carrie" and "Logan's Run".

Hi Johnny! Remember lots from 1972, specifically The Olympics. Was 14 and 1st time on holiday with 3 school friends without my parents. I had a feather cut like Jane Fonda and many others in the day. We went to Blackpool and saw Slade in concert. Happy,carefree days! X

I was just eleven in 1972. So many things that happened that year or started that year touched me deeply. Music was so important to me. Shows like MASH would be with me all the way through my last year of college and very greatly shaped my world view. The Night Stalker was our Twilight Zone and scared me happily. What a year.

I remember "The Paul Lynde Show", & so many too numerous to name.
I heard Elvis Presley for the first time with "Burning Love ", I also saw "Yellow Submarine " on TV, 1st time I saw The Beatles, but, obviously, didn't who they were, they separated a couple of years earlier.

This was the year I graduated high school. I've watched these videos on the years of my youth. 1969 was my favorite. I think this one falls a little flat. BUT consider that they are all very good.

The Night Stalker was one of the best made for TV movies that was ever made. It's legacy can still be felt today. I think everyone at my school saw it at the time. We were talking about it for weeks.
If memory serves me correct, it was the highest rated TV movie that year :)
It was indeed. From Wiki: "The Night Stalker became ABC's highest rated original TV movie, earning a 33.2 rating and 54 share which was unheard of for an original TV movie at the time." It was written by the great Richard Matheson.
... and produced by Dan Curtis... Dark Shadows & Trilogy of Horror fame :)
And the Norliss Tapes - which is very close to the Night Stalker in plot & style. Right down to the tape recorder. And if it hadn't been for The Night Stalker there may never have been an X-Files.

72. Continued spending lots of time staying in the White House with President Nixon. When President Nixon went to China, he took me, too. After July and my 9th birthday, my parents moved to Macon county N.C. because they were told it was the best place for child abusers. It was HELL. Spent the next 10 years making Macon county the best place for children to live. 1972 was a very important year to me as the chapter in my life defined me even more.
Blacula is one of my favorite horror films!

Irwin Allen strikes again! Poseidon Adventure, aside from being a brilliantly done disaster film, was also, IMHO, the poignant as well. The Cowboys is one of my most favorite John Wayne flicks and the first time I ever saw Bruce Dern! It also became a tv series and we watched it faithfully! Absolutely loved Paul Lynde! The tv movie Gargoyles! Will never forget it! I was actually on one of the movie channels two months ago and I watched it for the first time in at least 20 years! The Night Stalker...so fantastic! It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!! I love these vids! Thank you!

It was a great time to be 15. These scenes make for some great memories. It wasn't all good, but mostly it was. Still have a thing for Streisand in "What's Up Doc". Hahahaha! Poseidon is still a great story. Great video!

The one thing that was forgotten that I totally remember was an animated cartoon called "Wait Till Your Father Gets Home ", it was based on "All in The Family ", Tom Bosley of "Happy Days " did the voice of the father. The 1st primetime satirical cartoon.
