French Suite No. 6 (BWV 817) - J.S. Bach, William Yelverton, Guitar

The complete French Suite No. 6 (BWV 817) in E major by J.S. Bach, transcribed and performed on guitar by William Yelverton. Originally released in 1993 on the CD: "Harpsichord Music on Guitar" - William Yelverton.
Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Gavotte, Polonaise, Bouree, Menuet, Gigue.
The guitar transcription contains all the notes of the original keyboard version in the original key, with only octave transpositions. This premiere guitar recording of French Suite No. 6 is a solo guitar performance with no multi-tracking or effects. (B repeats are eliminated for brevity).

This is amazing. It was impressive that Vince Macaluso did #5 in the 70s on his 10-string, but this sounds smoother, less forced, a more natural fit. The average listener would have no idea how difficult this is, great job pushing the limits still further.

Stunningly beautiful the way this is played!! I love it! especially the opening: the Allemande is superb!
I love this French Suite nr 6 as a piece for piano, but never thought it would sound so beautiful on guitar!
