In order to determine which Texas cities and towns are the best (and worst), I analyze a few categories including their economy, cost of living, crime and safety, health, education, and quality of life. I also implemented my personal experiences and the pros and cons of each location.
My biggest suggestion is to visit these places first to decide where you want to move to and live.
And if you thought Texas was just cowboys and Tex-Mex, you couldn't be more wrong! The 2nd LARGEST state by both area and population has had tons of young professionals and families moving in due to the affordability, great schools, BOOMING job market, and warm weather, making it one of the fastest growing states! With a HUGE influx of Californians relocating to Austin, Dallas, Houston, El Paso & San Antonio!

Me watching this from my home in Texas
What do yo think about best city in texas?
Howdy fellow Texan!
I'm watching this from my Texan house by a border
Same 😂❤
Should I go to Texas? Is it really that good
Me living in TX, watching this and wondering how the hell did they get all these pictures of the cities and no road construction. Corpus alone has been under road construction for the last 45 years of my life.
😂😂😂
Lol
But have you been to Louisiana? Under construction 24/7 and yet you’ll still lose a tire at least a couple times a year. And it still looks like crap. 😂. I guess perspective is everything.
Their videos of San Antonio had construction zones...But then the entire downtown is a construction zone.
What about Mansfield? That part of Texas is amazing! They are also known for having a highly-rated school system.
Mansfield! They also have the highest property and school taxes in all of N. Texas.
They do not have the highest Prop taxes, and I doubt school taxes...grand Prarie, trophy club, South Lake, can't imagine these aren't hight
Houston's road infrastructure is actually more efficient at preventing lengthy traffic jams than most other big cities. I drive a truck all over the country and Houston isn't bad at all, not saying there isn't traffic, it just moves far quicker than other places when there is traffic.
Yep, I live in Dallas as a transplant and also a truck driver and I always think this to myself! The frontage roads and the different alternative routes help out big time.
I love Houston. No 1 city in Texas in my opinion
The Woodlands is rated #1 by NIche Magazine that my great Uncle George Mitchell built. He constructed the Cynthia Woods Mitchell amphitheater also rated #1 in the world acoustically. He also donated a 1600 ac. nature preserve bearing his name, as does the 1-45. He's one of Texas' greatest of all time benefactors; donating over a billion dollars to Texas A & M. Love ya, Uncle George!
I just recently moved to Texas so this is pretty good to see
I would love too see you struggle with trying to get to ten with Wyoming
haha ill try!

@@FromHeretoThere will you upload a new video on mango tango again please answer i always think what did happen to mango tango stop posting a new video i always watch you when i was a kid but anyways why did you stop posting?
I wouldn't call San Marcos a suburb of Austin. It's actually kind of its own unique place with a historic city square and courthouse. LBJ went to school and taught in San Marcos as well.
The San Marcos River runs through the center of town and you can go tubing or kayaking.
My best friend went to Texas State and we're from SATX. San Marcos is pretty cool though. Especially if you're young and like to party! The apartment complexes there throw raging pool parties where they have built-in beer pong tables. Pretty cool. If you want the same area but quieter, go to Wimberley.
Good point there about San Marcos. That said,, I would not call San Marcos a "suburb of Austin",,, anymore than I would label Granbury as a "suburb of Fort Worth". They are both far enough away from that bigger city,, to where they have their own,, independent identity.
I was bornDed and raised in Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth area) and lived there past the age of 28. Moved away in Spring, 1982. Since then,, I've lived in Arizona,,, California,, Washington State,, and I now live in Hawaii (have lived here since early 2017 now). Just the same, I still possess a keen interest (and fascination) with MANY of the Texas cities and towns. However I'm surprised that towns such as Bryan/College Station,,, Waco,, and Amarillo didn't make that list.
Nice video - very educational
I love Austin! ❤️
its a great city!
Thanks for doing this list! Even though I live in Utah, I was actually born in the DFW area in Texas.
im SO glad you mentioned mcallen, im from edinburg (right next to mcallen if you don't know) and rgv is suppperrr underrated

@@FromHeretoThere you haven’t been at night downtown have you? “Small town” but spread out? Haven’t been to San Pedro nor woodlakes areas. And corpus cristis most famous is Selena Quintanilla. White boi
Agreed
Texans (and my family) always brag about the no taxes in TX, but the car and house taxes MORE than make up for it. I've looked into moving and between the increase to taxes and cost of insurance, it's going to cost me like $10K more a year.
Thanks for sharing your experience 😊
What your saying about TX taxes is SO SO SO true. We're from TX & planned to move back home upon retirement. Even tho we're "stuck" in CA our property taxes, car tags & state income tax are a fraction of what we'd pay if we moved home to TX. Can't afford house prices for similar property & can't afford the outrageously hi property taxes. Sadly TX has priced out its favorite sons & daughters born there & who want to return as retired Texans.
@@janeforeverthe property taxes are local taxes. So I wouldn’t say it’s “Texas” driving people out. It’s the local government of certain areas. And it’s mainly in the big cities and their suburbs. Here in the East Texas area it’s not bad at all. At least in my experience
It's nice to see your doing good mango, I still remember the yandere series you did, the good ole days
nice
Yes > 500M views & > 2M sub in 2 gap years
Wait what??? What kind of channel was this before haha
It really highlights the beauty and variety of Texas. Great picks for anyone considering a move!
I’m Australian and if I was ever to move to the USA, I would definitely live in Texas
San Martian here: Be prepared for horrible drivers (college students and senior citizens) and construction. Also trains bring the entire town to standstill.
Great video
super cool video
Thanks for a great video!
@8:43 everything you said about Fort Worth was accurate. I approve this message as a Fort Worth texan! Thanks for knowing the difference Between Dallas and Fort Worth. To many people mistake us for the same city. Good stuff.
New Subbie here, thank you for this great info! Considering relocation so this is a huge help

At 9:06 ...I lived in both Dallas and Fort Worth...mostly Dallas...And even though the Metroplex is kinda one huge city, they have very different personalities...People from Fort Worth always say "Fort Worth is where the West begins...and Dallas is where the East peters out"....
Hey can you make a video why iceland is so beautiful and why you should visit or even move there. Btw i miss mango tango videos they were my childhood.. 😢lol
Absolutely! I'm in the US and I love Iceland.

I would love to go to Texas someday and explore the different cities here. I just think it will be good if San Antonio also gets an NFL team like how it has an NBA team.
A while back (i.e. late 1990s,,,early 2000s) rumors were flying that the Vikings might be moving from Minnesota down to San Antonio. Not sure if that would've been good or not.
I,m in El Paso in texas😊😊😊
"A special McDonald's menu item they only have at military bases", lol that's exactly what McAllen sounds like too! 😂 That joke alone is worth tapping the thumbs up button. Yes I'm a man of simple pleasures 😁
At 11:56 ...you forgot that Frito-Lay moved it's HQ from Dallas to Plano...It's a pretty big company...
I remember watching your old mango tango videos lol.
I was born in Texas, Dallas. I live in New Hampshire now. I saw some pictures of “new Dallas” I can’t believe it’s size.
I know the old Dallas, that I know. Deep Ellie use to be skid row. Now is wonderful bars and music. Texas is a great state but, it’s way too hot for me and the bugs icky
I was shocked there is no longer a defining line between Denton and Dallas
Guys you should do the best cities of each size again - we need an update!
At 11:12 ...Plano is part of the Metroplex...many people that live there work in Dallas...
How do you know all that? Great work!
Pls do a Best cities to live in india episode. Eagerly waiting for it
yo its mango tango, i loved watching your minecraft fnaf videos

As someone whos lived in Austin for almost 30 years -- You can not go to the watering holes anymore.. You cant do anything without so many people there! Stop telling people to move here please :)
I'm so glad to live in Texas. :')
And that's an amazing analysis of these cities, especially Dallas and Fort Worth! Plano, too. I live in the largest metro area in the state. I sure would like to visit El Paso and South Padre island one day.
I live in El Paso and will you hike the north franklin?
