'First Wave of Black Metal' es una conexión floja con la verdad. Los tiempos oscuros provocan himnos oscuros. A principios de mediados de los 80, el verdadero Metal era Evil. Lleno de peligro. Violencia. Nunca supiste qué esperar. El diablo caminaba en tu sombra. Black Metal fue / es un álbum de VENOM. Nada mas. Solo aquellos en los medios intentarán convencerte de lo contrario. ⛧🤘
mucho del metal extremo de los 80s vease Kreator, Hellhammer/Celtic frost, Sepultura, Possessed,, etc, fueron gran inspiración y percusores de lo que vino luego, death y black metal como tal.. pero no lo fueron en ninguna manera, antes no se enfocaba tanto en división de géneros y modas por metal,, lo que hubieron fueron terminos por temáticas brutales y satánicas,, asi mismo, Venom siendo una banda del NWOBHM, usó el término black metal, como un simple título, Asimismo Possessed siendo una banda de thrash , utilizó el término death metal, al igual que Onslaught, pero no lo fueron para nada,,(luego siguieron tocando thrash ), el nacimiento de un género no puede surgir de sí mismo sino de lo anterior,, Kreator tenía temáticas muy brutales y de muerte, pero no fué banda de death metal tampoco, todo eso fué pura inspiración para lo demás,,, ahora, buena parte del llamado true black metal es en buena parte muy inspirado en la banda Bathory, tomaron prestado el mismo sonido y todo lo demás, así como pintarse lo tomaron de bandas como por ejemplo Mercyful Fate,.
