Young lady what you sang and how you sang it IS THE FACE AND HEART OF COUNTRY. You girls are what country is about. You did an amazing job and you killed it. I love country and I grew up on it. Dear Luna, I’m from U.K. and AGT is my favourite show of all time. Did you see these ladies audition? When Simon Cowell asked them about their career they said they were struggling to become successful in Nashville because country and western doesn’t look like they do. I assumed they meant because they were women of colour. If Nashville don’t look like they do it most certainly should do because they are the best country singers I’ve ever heard. The are infectious and beautiful and talented. I hope I get a chance to see them live, one day

Well they didn't break into anything. They played music and people liked it because they're good enough. Country is just a type of music that blacks and women don't do well in as often as others.

If by "glass ceiling" you mean the usual meaning of their being women, that's not why they had to go on AGT to do an end run around the Country Establishment. The reason for that is exactly what they said during the audition-- they don't "look like" country. So glad that battle is over for them, victory is theirs.

I'm not even a country music fan normally but after seeing these ladies on AGT I am a fan. I truly think they have the best shot at winning the show. I had to look them up after replaying AGT over and over. I'm really looking forward to what they bring out next. Hopefully they will drop some brand new stuff too not just what they've already done. But they need to keep it pumping like this song and they will blow the roof off.
Same here. Didn't know they existed until I saw them perform this on AGT. Found myself tapping my foot to the music, although for me I'd place them second with the Middle-Eastern dance group first. I'll probably still buy their album though.

I stopped listening to country when it became overrun by wannabe rock singers who couldn't make it in rock. My sister introduced me to you all and I'm so glad she did. @ambiemouse I am not discounting our major contribution to all music styles in the US I just meant that we were also influenced by white peoples music. In my humble opinion all American music originated from blacks and whites from the south. There is no country music without white people and there is no country music without us. We had the same influence on Latin music as well.

So much better than what passes for country today.

Dear Luna, I’m from U.K. and AGT is my favourite show of all time. Did you see these ladies audition? When Simon Cowell asked them about their career they said they were struggling to become successful in Nashville because country and western doesn’t look like they do. I assumed they meant because they were women of colour. If Nashville don’t look like they do it most certainly should do because they are the best country singers I’ve ever heard. The are infectious and beautiful and talented. I hope I get a chance to see them live, one day

I stopped listening to country when it became overrun by wannabe rock singers who couldn't make it in rock. My sister introduced me to you all and I'm so glad she did. In my humble opinion all American music originated from blacks and whites from the south. There is no country music without white people and there is no country music without us. We had the same influence on Latin music as well.
