I love these type videos. Can’t just be me that gets that excited butterflies feeling when you go to a scrappy to see what they’ve got in 😂
wow, loving the frequency and variety of the uploads lately!
Breakers yard is like Disney world if you’re in to cars
Round of applause everyone for Rob and Chris giving us a great week of videos 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Lol 👍
@@sruk You’ve given us all so much cheer during a very difficult time 😀
Brings Back Memories When i was young At a breakers yard Every Weekend Getting Bits For Cars i was playing with :) LOve the Video
yep.. My huntt was Mk2 escort parts and twin choke webbers off the cortinas
I love breakers yards. I spent lots of my youth picking over old wrecks for bits to keep my old wrecks on the road. Those were the days!
Very interesting....who doesn't like a guided tour round a boneyard😎👍
You got to love a good rummage in a breakers yard. I am like a kid in a sweet shop in a yard.
Born in 65
I can remember scrap yards that had them 5 high and allowing you to go were ever you wanted.
We use to arrive and ask " have you got an escort,or mini" just to get in and then spend what seemed like hours looking for bits and bobs.
Walk out saying " you didn't have what I needed" then drive away, unloading your socks and inner jacket pockets off all the bits and bobs (nuts ,screws, trim clips, bulbs, etc)
Some places even had an honesty tin (cos they knew what people did.
Same here money under seats, phones etc
Found an envelope with £47 in it well in 1978 that was a hell of a lot of money
And what about the alsatian guard dogs, certainly scrap yards were different in the 70,s and 80,s for sure
@@jeffsparey9585 very true Jeff
Love listening to you Rob
" lovely Volvo there "
& it's all mangled 🤣🤣
I could walk around scrap yards all day long , my father used to take me to yards when I was about 5 years old the memories are very special
Thanks rob ...
I don’t know how you have time to mend cars with all this content you’re putting up. You’re a great guy Rob. Great videos, keep them coming!!! 👍🏻
Loved your visit to the breakers, I love wandering round them myself! 👍🙂
Thanks for the invitation.
We’ve been signed in with Salvage Rebuild UK. l found the channel quite by accident rather than design about three months barley missing a day.or night it better than any medication. Rob l’ve your love for the job is so very infectious even her indoors is the same.
Anyway l shall have to stop “waffling” chaps. Just a word of warning to the both you are giving so much to everyone please do not Burn burn-your selves
Out
Love the breakers/salvage yards , a lot of people forget about them when it comes replacing parts on their cars or vans . Thanks for very enjoyable video
Something about watching these vids at 10:45pm lol
Yes great vidio Rob can't take my eyes off it so much to see. Could walk around there all day myself and not get bored.
Takes me back a few decades Rob to when I lived down South. A monthly trip to Bridges was an absolute must!!!!!!.
Oh dear! The good old days.
Plesae Rob, more of this!!
Cheers, Bob
As a youngster I loved to go around car breakers or scrapyards .. just to see all the cars.. I’m 53 now, and I still love to do this.
The last scrap yard I went to was that rough the alsation Gaurd dog had a transit van starter motor tied to his collar during the day ! That's a great yard and a real treasure trove !
Thank you, Rob, for yet another brilliant video. A glimpse into something which resembles a normal, functioning world, something which seems to be out of reach for many of us.
I didn't realise Arthur Daley had that many cars on his forecourt. Superb
Another great video Rob, very enjoyable thanks 🙏🏻
Brilliant video, I used to love going round the salvage yards when I was fixing up a cheap car.. It's like a bit of therapy too 👍👍
No danger of you running out of content anytime soon. Very interesting walk-around.
Love the old school salvage yards like that where you can just walk around and pick yourself, nice little earner on late model stuff if you know what you’re looking for. :)
Been shopping there many times over the last 25 years... I love the fact that they group the cars, saves hours of wandering up and down!
While traveling the world in the US Military, I always enjoyed checking out Salvage or Breaking Yards. Since I was not a rich person, it helped me keep my older cars on the road.
When i was a child i told my parents that i want to work at a salvage yard as a grown up, didn’t happen after all... :)
You can always go for it mate. Seems like a good fun job! I love going down the yard to pick up parts or cars there’s always something new and interesting
Great video Rob -love the look round in the yard let’s have more of these videos please!
Used to like knocking about the breakers yard looking for parts. Brings back memories, oily hands and a smile on my face. Nice to see a variety of content being used, it’s enjoyable to watch.
The corsa looks like good project material Rob. Hope you get it, even if it’s to be repaired in a month or two.
Hi Rob, really enjoyed the walkabout, not been in a salvage yard for yrs. Amazing how long you can spend just wandering around. Cheers, Alex.
Good video sir I can remember walking around the scrap yard with 3 cars on top of each other and climbing up to get the parts
I love the breakers walk arounds, used to spend so much time in my teens up at Bridges in West Sussex mooching about and picking up parts for projects I was working on for myself or friends
Great, nice to see a yard one can still walk round, with sensible safety wear.
Thanks for the walkabout, looks like quality stock and very well organised, look forward to you doing this again in the future and a different video always keeps us entertained.
Thanks again gents for the great content.and a big hello from Newcastle 😁👍🏻
Gosh this place has changed since I was last getting bits for my Rover's back in 2000. My friend and I loved coming here and looking at the cars. I recall seeing a ford focus burnt out in there once. It was only a year old. Thanks for the wonderful video and the reminder of the great memories I have of this place.
Brilliant video as always Rob. What a size of a place. No wonder it’s you go to place. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great Vid. You know its getting serious when the wife goes "Is Rob on tonight "!!! She will want a signed photo next 🤣🤣 Keep them coming mate I think you could overtake Coronation Street viewings 😁😁🙏🙏🤣🤣
Love these kinds of videos gives people a look at the different cars and bits you can pick up from a yard top quality rob
enjoyable content as always Rob, that is one impressive site wouldn't enjoy having to do the stock count!
Super interesting, like you I could spend the day exploring a yard like that!!
Realy interesting video, the full Ford front end was (I think) a C-Max - the early one. Will certainly give these guys a shout when I need anything. So nice that yards still let you walk around them.
Enjoyed the walk around Rob always good to have variety and to think about giving us a video when original plan don't work out! Cheers
Always love the videos and look forward to the next one. You're brilliant, thank you Rob and Chris
That's got to be the most organised breakers yard I've seen. Next time I need something for my Focus, I'll give them a shout!
Brings back some memories of years ago going round scrap yards going in for the bits you want and coming out with a pocket full of blubs and fuses and little switches. There isn’t any around where I live in west Berkshire
See you have pulled another fantastic video out the hat again Rob. Truly enjoyed watching the wander around the breakers yard. More please maybe some drone footage. What a treasure trove the place seems.
This video could of gone for 45 mins and I would be happy. Maybe do a part 2? Showing them doing a de pollution. That would be awesome!
You could also do a rebuild challenge! Take one of their cars & using all their parts, completely fix it up in 1-2 days - that makes an extra long video :) you could split the profit with them or something? Love all the videos mate :)
Great video..... brings back memories from when I was 17-21, nipping off to the breakers on a saturday morning to get a bit for me or a friend, when our driving talents let us down! lol.
The owner was great & let me just wonder the yard freely, made a nice bit of money from selling the "Max Power" add ons no one else knew were in the cars.
God-dang Rob are you trying to drag me out of retirement! Some very tempting easy repair cars you've shown. Fill your boots UA-cam watchers. Yes please, to more like this. Shane. :-)
Brilliant video. Top content. Nice to see a proper breakers yard that can be walked around. Really enjoying your video 👍🏼👍🏼
Loved going around a breakers yard.
Those Corsa’s , the engine mounts are designed to sheer, idea is the engine breaks free and passes under the car in a serious front ender....occupants don’t get a hot 3,000rpm engine sat on their knees....Fabulous to see the yard, when I was 18 running old cars , it was a Friday afternoon routine to go down the breakers for parts slightly better than the parts on my car....good ol days LOL
yes please rob do the walk a round again please i love looking at car scrap and car part i use to do up car but where my anxiety and depression has got the beater of me 😭
Great treat for a Friday! Thanks these would be great as occasional specials. That Corsa would make great content!
Another great video, for the money being asked I would have thought that the Corsa would be well worth repairing.
Great video Rob you just took me back 40 years .
Hope you get the Seat Leon FR, Lovely Cars 😉
I don't give a damn what type of video you upload they are all enteresting and to have hve every day this week is fantastic so I thank you for that
👌👍
Love these breaker yard videos. spent hours in them myself lol great video rob.
Love the yard workarounds, fascinating places
Yea I also love these videos. No airs or graces, just a geezer talking about salvage cars and vans
Fantastic content Rob. I could have watched and listened for hours pal.
Great you can walk around and have a look - good to know when you are buying something there may be second hand parts already available - all the yards around here won’t let you in - miss it having a mooch - spent hours after mark 2 escort bits, loads of shells wish I had bought them all 🤣
I love the fact people tell you how to do things. When its pretty clear you know👍
Great different content Rob Hope to see the corsa getting put back together looks like a nice earner but your right yous have a lot to be getting on with GREAT VIDEO Mate
You’ve been banging out these videos lately! I love it.
It is always interesting to see different aspects of your daily experience. That must be like an Aladdin's cave for you. Plenty of excellent material at keen prices, waiting for you to gather it up and give it a new home. I appreciate the benefits of salvaging parts, it saves energy by giving parts a second life. It avoids waste, reduces costs and so on. I am glad it was your legs doing the mud plugging with the uphill and down dale bit. A couple of dog walks per day on hopefully solid roads is enough for me these days. You spared me the effort of viewing that interesting raw material. There were no remains having rusted to hell and back now, like there were in yards 50 plus years ago.
Love it not many breakers you can walk around here in London anymore 👍
Another great one. You really make the effort and it's clear you care about your work. Rob we appreciate any video you put out. If you can't do one for whatever reason don't worry. It's clear you put a lot of work into them and care about your content. That goes a long way with us. Keep up the good work mate and if you're too busy one day, it don't matter. Cheers👍
Thanks Rob enjoyed the walk round ,that Corsa is a bargain you boys need to do it that's a quick flip...
Loved the video it’s nice to see a scrap yard that let’s you wander around to get your own bits as it’s nice to see what the state of the car your getting bits off rather then off the shelve.
Great video Rob 👍 Very interesting 🤨 👍 I’m sure I’m with many others who would be interested in a few more of these vids interspersed between your builds etc 👍 When I saw the damage on the Corsa I have to say I “gulped” because of the damage 💥 and then price 💴😮 But I was surprised 🙌 to hear 👂 from you that you were confident 😌 that you boys could turn it around and get it out the door for a profit (shows what I know - nowt is the short answer 😉) It would make a cracking series and I’d love to see what it’d cost to repair and how much you’d flip it for after all the no doubt hard work that’d no doubt go into it 👍
Anyway 😊 again 👍 Keep up the great work 👍
But as someone else wisely said on here “be careful not to burn 🔥 yourselves out” 👍
Warmest wishes to you both from South Wales 🏴 - Jonathan 😊 👍
Another video of any salvage yard or any of your projects are fantastic viewing Rob so bring them on and the longer the better for all the more waffling from you 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Ooh i do like salvage walkarounds.
Keep em coming rob.
Totally brilliant so glad you did that love a scrap yard like you said could spend hours just wandering around thanks hope you get the corca looks like an interesting rebuild
Variety of different things gents keeps us all coming back.
Be nice to hear of both your backgrounds into the motor trade. And, what brought you two together.
Good channel for anyone looking into get into making a quid by fixing up vehicles.
You go through the whole process start to finish and this is a great learning process 👍
Really like the yard video, spent a lot of time in my escort and mini driving days at breakers, getting oily n balancing on a stack to get a Rotor arm out! takes me back, just alot more organised! 😉🤣
I think I've got a problem Rob, I love a good scrap yard! I bet the 66 plate Corsa smelt like an old man biscuit when you opened that door, Lol. Great Vid.
Great video rob
Love the scrap yards used to spend my time down trents in Bournemouth salvaging car badges in the seventies
Keep it up m8 love your channel 👏 👍
G'day, Rob! That was smashingly good! I enjoyed the video! (you could honestly, walk round there all day) By the way... You are quite right about, (if you folks work out all the bits) with 20,000 on the clock! The Corsa will be come a nice little car, for someone to enjoy! And, that is very repairable too!! Thank you! Cheers! 😊🚗✌🏻❤️
Quite liked that video. Reminds me of when I was younger and scouting around my local salvage yard looking for parts for my Mini 1275 GT.
Rob - Brilliant video love the breakers yard. Yes please more visits - Best wishes Clay
Wow that's a lot of salvage makes you realize how many people have accidents no wonder my insurance is so much 😠👍👌👏
True even if I bought a £200 car the insurance would be near £2,000 even at my age
I like the look of that Corsa Rob, repairing hard engine damage would be an interesting new one for the channel.
Don't know about anyone else but I love these vids. All your videos are good but the ones walking round yards checking out loads of different cars are my favourite!
Would love for you to do an enthusiast car every now and again. Something like the Fiesta ST that your saw or a Fabia VRS or something.
Been a long time since ive had a mooch around a yard, used to love all that, enjoyed the video 👍👍
like you ,could spend hours looking around breakers yard , takes me back to my youth years , early 70's and a HB viva
Used to enjoy mooching around the local scrap yard, cars piled 3 high, no elf n safety then
Loads more like that Rob, was like a treasure hunt in that yard👍
Nice tour of the yard. All my local yards have stopped you being able to strip your own bits, so it’s been a number of years since I’ve been in one. 👍
Love your videos attention to detail is great keep em coming great stuff!! Take care thanks
That just makes me want to do a project ! Thanks for that ! ! 😀
My dad drives a 67 plate SEAT LEON FR it's a beautiful car and a great car indeed Rob should buy one to try it out 😊👍🏻
Rob love the videos, do the odd fixing and repairing, last year I picked a 2017 Corsa E Diamond front end damaged drove fine just needed parts, lucky I had a cat b for breaking to use for parts and made good use of the breaker as the airbags were gone also. These Corsa are hard to sell if they have a category, I’ve had my one for about 6 months listed and not one call. I’ve dropped the price and it’s the cheapest in the market. I picked it up for £2250 mileage is very low 5000, if you look online you should find them around £2800 over the years I’ve had quite few of them and it’s hard to shift the ones that don’t come with extras fitted. I hope this help you with deciding
Throughly lv a scrap yard if you get the corsa at that price it's a nice profit rob have a good weekend guys.👌👌👌
Enjoyed the walk around. I did one vauxhall corsa 2015 1.4 from copart not long ago. Nice car to drive.
