I am using an XP-Pen tablet. They are like perfectly tuned to Firealpaca. All the button functions will work and it was affordable as well. I wanted a screen tablet and they were a cheap option, but I love it. Mine is the Artist 12, you can turn the screen on and off, in off mode you can still use the tablet like a regular drawing tablet. That was something I really liked. The only downsides were that there is lots of cables for the tablet and that I can't have any other drawing tablet drivers or programs on this laptop at the same time because they will affect each other. But if you have any problems, then their chat service on their website is very helpful. They have helped me out a bunch of times already and always were very nice and patient. slick vick That may be caused by various reasons. The lag usually is because of the correction option. If you set it too high, it may cause some delays. Try to lower it to the best settings. Actually mine had delays too, but once I used it a bunch of times, it calibrated itself. It may also be because of the CPU. For that, service can fix it or you can download a PC cleaner that is embbeded with a booster driver to help speed it up. It also may be because of the graphic tablet/mouse. Some brands cause a few delays. Hope some of these helped~!

Very Helpful!! I am working on an outline drawing for clothing prints. Single black color with a lot of open transparent space. I just realized that the black will not be seen on dark clothing, so i need to change my whole image to white. I tried using the paint bucket tool but it is not filling in completely. I'm so sorry for taking me so long to see this question! OK, so I'm assuming that you are turning this into a PNG correct? It's true that any transparent parts left will turn black instead of white. You'll have to colour it in with a white colour but yes as you mentioned there is a tendency for those pixels to appear. What I suggest is to make a backdrop colour in another colour below all the other layers. Then, fill in the areas with white on a layer below the lineart and make sure the 'Expand' option on the bucket tool (Usually shown in the options bar when you select the bucket) is set to 1 instead on 0 which should solve the problem. There might be still some parts that aren't coloured in but simple draw on those they shouldn't be a lot. Before saving the image, turn off the backdrop by clicking on the circle to make the layer invisible or just delete the layer. Great tutorial, thanks for making it! I have a question about making an animation in FireAlpaca. Does this program uses the frame by frame method or does it allows to fill the in-betweens automatically like adobe flash does?
FireAlpaca only uses frame-by-frame and doesn’t have a tweening option. Everything is drawn one by one per each frame. It isn’t so advanced on animation since the main focus is mostly on full art pieces and just simple short gifs. If you want a more advanced but free software for animation specifically, I suggest OpenToonz. OpenToonz is a free animation software that was used to create shows like Futurerama and Spirited Away. Do give it a shot if you’re interested! Also you’re welcome and I’m glad the tutorial helped!
@@TheChibChibi Thank you very much for your answer. I was actually learning to animate Krita at the moment but i will consider your advice with OpenToonz and give it a try. Since the software is capable of doing automatically inbetweenings it looks so promising in a long run. Wish you could make a tutorial series of OpenToonz. It would be nice to learn with your simple and clean instructions. Glad to be a part of your community.
Are there any techniques, per se? I mean, is there a way we can get some tips on how to draw rather than just what the tools do? This video was helpful because now I do know what those tools do, but it would be great to learn how to utilize them to their maximum power.
I actually do have a video on that already done. I addressed that recently in my most recent video ( ua-cam.com/video/RbWxBFN8E8U/v-deo.html ). There are some techniques in the video that I showed that many people asked, but I also mentioned that I will upload a video next week about how to make a full simple artwork from start to finish. Thank you for your comment~!
how do u use the brushed??? it isnt working for me :C i did exactly what u did and i tried everything :((( When i use my drawing tablet and when i press and move the stylis, nothing happends, i clicked the brushed, i did how *thicc* the brushed are i tried the colors ect :CCC
Hello there! I did answer a question similar to this so I’ll paste the answer below here. As for further skills, I would be making a video very soon on the more details of the program~! [COPY PASTED] That is actually more on the skill side of digital art in which it differs from style to style. The size of a brush does not really matter because there are amazing art with thick outlines and as well as thin outlines. It all ends up being personal preference. But for what I use, I usually make the pen size I use to be 8 to 10 for more cartoonish style drawings and a smaller size like 6 to 3 for more detailed drawings. I wish you the best in your artistic journey~!
I use a graphic tablet connected to the PC. There's of course still a method to use the mouse, but it's a bit more tedious. I might do a tutorial on it.
Yes, there are indeed other free softwares that can do Frame-by-Frame animation. Some free ones include Krita and Synfig. More professional ones that are payed softwares include Adobe Animate, ClipStudio Paint and ToonBoom. FireAlpaca has an animation feature too. A good video I would recommend for this is this video > ua-cam.com/video/mpN5QD9aM4g/v-deo.html I hope this helps and thank you for supporting!
Thanks and what I also meant is apps like these interfaces with timelines like krita although more efficient such as the shading that would follow the lines in drawing and color layer by layer in a simultaneous manner of playing preview?
Is there a software like windows movie maker I just need a studio of where I could use my frames because Windows movie maker is hard to come by these days
Thanks for this! The way you explain this makes the program look so convenient. I’ll be getting my own laptop and tablet soon and I will definitely try this out!
Silly beginner question, but in 5:15 - 5:18 how did you select the drawing and change the size? I’ve been trying to figure it out but just can’t!!! Thank you!
Nothing wrong with asking beginner questions, dear~! (I have answered a similar question before so pardon the copy pated text) [COPY PASTED] I didn’t really went into much detail on it because it was just kinda like an overview of the whole thing to get started. I will however be doing a video on more of the things within the program really soon though! To modify an image: 1) Make sure you are on the layer your wish to modify 2) Go to ‘Select’ on the menu 3) Click on the option that says ‘Transform’ OR 1) Make sure you’re on the layer you would like to modify 2) Press ‘Ctrl + T’ on your keyboard Thank you so much and have a wonderful time in your art journey!
Hello! What size, color and pen (pen, pencil) would you recommend for drawing the outline of human characters? (Like drawing an anime outline of a man/woman/upclose of a face)....
Good question! That is actually more on the skill side of digital art in which it differs from style to style. @@TheChibChibi Thanks! Your videos are super helpful! Btw, do you know how to copy a layer from fire alpaca and paste into another drawing? Like If I like how I drew a face, and I wanted to move that face to another panel and maybe just redo the eyes or the expression?
I have a question, is there a way to export a movie timelapsed of how you made it? like how you can export a movie of your progress timelapsed in ibis paint, cause if so that'd be very helpful for my New channel!
Hello! I'm still really new to Firealpaca and i've had this problem for a while. Whatever brush i use, it only colors in black and white- whenever i try to change it to green or any other color than black or white-- it still colors in black and white, any advice on how to fix?
So Im interested in animating on here- is it able for animation? Because I’ve heard some people use it for animating but maybe it’s just me- I mean if you could answer my questions that’d be highly appreciated. But if not thank you for this info! 😎
Oh yes FireAlpaca can definitely animate, just not really detailed animation more like VERY simple animation. I would definitely make a video on it when I get the chance. Thank you for sticking around!
Hello! I have my canvas on but whenever i use my drawing pad, i cant draw anything other than lines ( with the shift key ) Do you know whats going on with my tablet or my program?
Yeah, thats the exact reason why im here!! Im trying to figure out whats going on and how to draw using my drawing tablet because im only able to draw lines with my shift bar just like you
Thanks you so much for the tutorial! And 6:04 how did you did the select and then reverse and made a gray? ( it mostly the gray part that confuse me the most) and what the lock, clipping, and the blending thing in "layer"
No problem~! OK so basically to make an inverse selection, all you have to do is select the wand tool, select all the areas that you DON'T want to color by holding shift while clicking on the areas, then go to the 'Select' option on top the screen, and click on 'Inverse'. Now you should have a base selection of all the things you WANT to color. The lock checkbox is to avoid a layer from being used. If you check this box, you won't be able to draw on the selected layer. The blending option will basically effect the way your blending tool will function. Though in most cases, it doesn't do much. The clipping check box is to clip a layer to the layer below it. So any effects on the layer below like 'Protect Alpha' will have the same effect on the layer above. It's a bit more complicated. I hope this helps~!

How do you select something to make it bigger or smaller or to move it around? (Like you do at 5:31-5:32)

For moving and scaling an object around:

To copy and paste:
1) Go to the layer you want to copy
2) Use any of the select tools, draw around the thing you want to copy
3) To copy, either:
- Go to the 'Edit' option and press 'Copy'

do you need a specific cable to be able to connect a tablet to the computer?
Finally, a clear tutorial! Thank you so much! I'll have to watch it again though. The layer part is hard XD
This was an amazing tutorial!
Metehan Şirin Anytime at all! I’ll think about making an OpenToonz tutorial soon as I make a follow up video to this video~!
@@TheChibChibi Yeah! We will be waiting for those series! Thanks for considering that.
I had no flipping idea how to start drawing and was sad and panicked, you are a god, thank you for giving me knowledge Q^Q
Thx this helps allot umm what is the song in the background called
You're welcome~! It's called Flares by NIVIRO. Check it out here! ua-cam.com/video/V-mP3VU0DCg/v-deo.html
Alguien sabe cual era esta versión de fire alpaca? :)
@@TheChibChibi Thanks, and NP
i wonder hwo u have the fade in and out, is it a setting?
You're great at these! I hope you hit 1k very, VERY soon!
Thank you so much~! I'm still learning and I hope I can improve more as soon as possible. Thank you for the support~!
No problem! :D
Can you use firealpaca on a phone??
this was so helpful, i am genuinely so thankful

THANK YOU SO MUCH I NEEDED THIS
I have a question- what brushes do you prefer and why? im a noob at firealpaca and i wanna learn about brushes and stuffs
Hello there! I did answer a question similar to this so I’ll paste the answer below here. As for further skills, I would be making a video very soon on the more details of the program~!
[COPY PASTED]
That is actually more on the skill side of digital art in which it differs from style to style.
Thank you so much!
i only used mspaint to draw
thank you for this amazing tutorial!!
Your art is so beautiful! Plus I'll be sure to give firealpaca a go now :)
i know that i am late for this but.. i really hope u answer this... Do u draw by a tablet by connecting or just from the pc?
I use a graphic tablet connected to the PC. There's of course still a method to use the mouse, but it's a bit more tedious. I might do a tutorial on it.
@@TheChibChibi Ty for the reply.. i have a mouse so ...I cant wait to see the tutorial .. tysm!
Thanks for your guide chibi! Easy to understand
Happy to help!
yeah this gave me a good look into using this software, but damn the last drawing... thats talent
Do you also know where i can find how long ive spend on a drawing?
How do you make your drawing or a section or layer of your drawing bigger or smaller?
Are there other apps like these that can display the frames to determine the movements? Thanks in advance. This is a cool thing tho
Yes, there are indeed other free softwares that can do Frame-by-Frame animation. Some free ones include Krita and Synfig. More professional ones that are payed softwares include Adobe Animate, ClipStudio Paint and ToonBoom. FireAlpaca has an animation feature too. A good video I would recommend for this is this video > ua-cam.com/video/mpN5QD9aM4g/v-deo.html
I hope this helps and thank you for supporting!
Thanks and what I also meant is apps like these interfaces with timelines like krita although more efficient such as the shading that would follow the lines in drawing and color layer by layer in a simultaneous manner of playing preview?
Thank you alot, i'm today starting my drawing channel
thank you for helping me! i just got my tablet yesterday
No problem! And that's great! I wish you all the best and have fun with the new tablet! ✨
@@TheChibChibi thank you!^^
Is there a software like windows movie maker I just need a studio of where I could use my frames because Windows movie maker is hard to come by these days
Thank you very much! You explained it all and made it simple! I recommend everyone this tutorial~
Is there any way to see your drawing process like on ibis paint?
Unfortunately, there isn't. You'll have to use a screen recording software for that.
Thanks for this! The way you explain this makes the program look so convenient. I’ll be getting my own laptop and tablet soon and I will definitely try this out!
Great to hear!
Thank you very much! I am learning so I am glad I found you!
Silly beginner question, but in 5:15 - 5:18 how did you select the drawing and change the size? I’ve been trying to figure it out but just can’t!!! Thank you!
Nothing wrong with asking beginner questions, dear~! (I have answered a similar question before so pardon the copy pated text)
[COPY PASTED]
I didn’t really went into much detail on it because it was just kinda like an overview of the whole thing to get started. I will however be doing a video on more of the things within the program really soon though!
To modify an image:
1) Make sure you are on the layer your wish to modify
2) Go to ‘Select’ on the menu
3) Click on the option that says ‘Transform’
OR
1) Make sure you’re on the layer you would like to modify
2) Press ‘Ctrl + T’ on your keyboard
Thank you so much and have a wonderful time in your art journey!
Hello! What size, color and pen (pen, pencil) would you recommend for drawing the outline of human characters? (Like drawing an anime outline of a man/woman/upclose of a face)....
Good question! That is actually more on the skill side of digital art in which it differs from style to style.

@@TheChibChibi Thanks! Your videos are super helpful! Btw, do you know how to copy a layer from fire alpaca and paste into another drawing? Like If I like how I drew a face, and I wanted to move that face to another panel and maybe just redo the eyes or the expression?
Also, any tips on how to draw with a mouse? I don't have a tablet.
thanks infinitly ! that have been for 8 month that I want to use my tablet with this logicial and now I can ! thxx :)
I have a question, is there a way to export a movie timelapsed of how you made it? like how you can export a movie of your progress timelapsed in ibis paint, cause if so that'd be very helpful for my New channel!
How do i costumize the background to plain white without any small squares
Very informative tutorial with easy to understand explanations. And a very nice and relaxing voice. :) Thank you!
thanks soooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am really happy you made this video! It was very helpfull for me :3
How do I unselect something? Like say I used the magic wand and I'm done with it, not I'm stuck with it highlighted, what do I do?
thanks this is so useful i honestly had no idea how to use it
Hello! I'm still really new to Firealpaca and i've had this problem for a while. Whatever brush i use, it only colors in black and white- whenever i try to change it to green or any other color than black or white-- it still colors in black and white, any advice on how to fix?
thank you so much wthout you i cant use my firealpaca anymore because i accident deleted them ( it was the first time i use firealpaca)
I had no ideea how to even put a canvas thank you :] !!
No problem at all! XD
How do you get the lines to be so smooth?
A little thing that might help if you go to 4:33 in the video. I hope this helps~!
@@TheChibChibi thank you
Thx I just got in on my PC and I'm very hapoy
got my drawing tablet today and i also got firealpaca on may 22nd 2020 :D
Congrats! Have fun making stuff!
realy helpfull!!!!😁was the first song alan walkers?
Im trying to figure out whats going on and how to draw using my drawing tablet because im only able to draw lines with my shift bar just like you
Verily appreciated! I also opted for Fire Alpaca over Photoshop, and rather enjoy the animation function :>
You’re welcome! I am happy to help
Is tgere an option to ad a layer without clicking on the layer button?
Hey!
How you do your draw smaller and bigger???
I cant D: Thx
can you import things you drew in the real world and then draw over the top of them
how to i bring back the tab with all the colors and options?
