Cyclist Blocks Driver From Overtaking, Why?

- Cyclist Stands His Ground and takes the lane to stop a driver from overtaking at a pinch point. Driver attempts this overtake failing twice, but succeds on the 3rd attemp. Cyclist then proceeds to confront the driver about the attempted Close Passes. In other words: This Renault driver wants to overtake cyclist at all costs, even if it means overtaking at pinch point to get stuck 30 seconds later in a traffic queue.
I have reported this driver but as lately I do not even get a notification from the police that the driver has received a NIP i'm publishing this now.
if police asks me to take it down because of prosecution I will.

You should add their licence plate to the title or the description, so others may find this as a warning to look out for her.

Tailgating in the wet alone was horrendous. Police should definitely issue points and fine for that and attempted close passes.
That's just awful driving. If the driver is this incompetent, I'd question whether their licence should be permanently revoked. Such stupid impatience!!!!

Another cycle lane in the door zone at the end there. It would be safer for councils not to paint cycle lanes like that at all.

Very frightening attitude to the road from that murderist... especially in those conditions... I can only ever imagine it is folk on 4 wheels from out of London who don't realise that the infrastructure will not favour them against seasoned cyclists, so why even try it? It's the other 4 wheelers queuing at every junction slowing them down.
It is stupid, callous and very short-sighted to put someones life in danger to get to the back of a queue that isn't moving sooner. Most drivers are fine but I see the "always in a rush" types the "follow the leader types" who just overtake because the car in front did without checking it is still safe, the "I'm having a bad day" types and the "I hate slower road users" types who just love endangering slower road users like cyclists, learners and slower drivers. This is a quirk of human psychology and this is why infrastructure is essential, but as most people own a car and hate losing space and the media largely plays into the cars vs bikes narrative, this too is very slow as it isn't going to win elections- at least not for now! It is deeply frustrating! It is the 1% who make an error, are having a bad day or genuinely hate cyclists that make separation essential, especially for the leisurely commuter type who doesn't want going to work to be a fast paced adrenaline sport!
I doubt the driver got the sarcasm. Very poor driving though, they should have seen the pinch point and not even attemtped that overtake.
Driver was well in the wrong. Should of held back at the pinch point when the cyclist was in primary position. Then overtook when safe to do so.
If you're a driver and you're thinking, what's his problem, please hand back your license.
It’s about time the government took action to separate cars and cyclists. Too many people are dying.
Hi Silvio, this is the first time I have had the pleasure of watching one of your videos, while I could find no fault with your behaviour that car driver clearly has no concern for other people at all!, demonstrating levels of observation and consideration that should lead to total revocation of driver's licence to be restored only after complete series of proper driving lessons and passing the test again!. While I am about it it does to me look as if the examiner and instructors she had to start with also suffer from severe incompetence.

All of that in a 20 limit? Disgraceful driving. Questions for overtaking: is it a) legal, b) safe, c) necessary? Unless all three conditions are met, don't do it.

Ride your private escooters and bike ebikes and you will have a much easier time on the roads .
He's a spandex wearing hardcore "cyclist". He thinks ebikes/escooters are for chumps. I don't think you'll see him riding one of those.
That was disgraceful - especially in those conditions. The newly-installed central reservations on St George's Drive don't help, not that that provides the driver with any excuse at all. The police have taken action against at least 2 close passes along there that I have reported since the central reservation appeared, neither of which were as reckless as the Renault driver shown here.
Mate! Was about to do the same... before aggressive drivers could overtake without a problem... now they go insane... I have reported this woman... if I get notification of NIP to the driver will take down.
