Would love to see more models! Things unify the range, match the asthetic. Would love cavalary on flying wardroth beatles, a large generic hero for the Spities ala the dankhold maybe something like the total war treekin.
EDIT: big rumour video going up tonight!! I’m editing it now My first ever age of sigmar army. It holds a special place for me. I have a few discussion videos planned but maggotkin / skaven / nighthaunt are on the way!
I just got into Warhammer Age of Sigmar. I just looked at the 24 armies, and I just fell in love with how the sylvaneth look. I'm buying my first models for Christmas and they will be my first ( and possibly only, i'm not that rich lol ) army :) And I think I would have to choose an idea for a new sylvaneth model, i think I would choose a boi who looks like a tree-revenant, but he's riding a giant beetle. I think that would be amazing :D
I just bought the big Sylvaneth Starter Box - which Games Workshop just stopped selling; It has the huge Tree Lord (alternate parts for one of 3 versions), 16 Dryads, 4 Yithari's Guardians and one Branchwych. I havent build the Tree Lord yet. I dont really have a spare shelf for such a tall mini. Great basic kits, hopefully they'll paint up nicley
I wish Sylvaneth could merge back together with Wood elves. Sylvaneth is my favourite but wood elves have some beautiful models as well which I think would fit nicely in a Sylvaneth army
I’m very new to warhammer and I love how everyone seems to love sylthaneth! I’m def getting some for my birthday! I’m sad there aren’t any other units that are bugs or other Earth spirits but overal really really strong models.
YES!!! 2:38 In fact i was expecting a new unit to come out from that Warhammer Community short story where some followers of nurgle got to corrupt a soul pod. was hoping for some new unit under the Spite line which at the moment is just Drycha and the Spite-revenants.
Hi Kitetsu, great video as always. Willow Rosebark from FW Blood Bowl team is a perfect Branchwraith if you don't want to buy the outdated one. Easy to strip the blood bowl elements and the ball in her hand can be easily be painted as a gem/soulpod.
glad to hear that 2 of my favourite armies (Nighthaunt and skaven) are on their way and cant wait for more content! (Especially regarding the mortal realms rumours article and sons of behemat future content)
i been thinking of getting more sylvaneth, so far they have been the most fun i had painting minis, even though i only came up with colour scene after i had painted the first half.
This is honestly my favorite army. It is the army that pulled me into AoS and wargaming in general. Almost all models are a joy to paint and even the ones that are boring were still a nice practice as a beginner to paint. And then came slaves to darkness and I was hooked to that for the exact opposite reasons thst pulled me to sylvaneth. They are very nice contrast in easy low detail models to high detail difficult models. And for both armies you can have a range of difficulty levels.
I don't have the Cities of Sigmar BattleTome, but I'm pretty sure the stuff about Alarielle not forgiving the Wanderers is old lore at this point. I've read online somewhere she supposedly forgave them to some extent, which is why they're in the Living City and why you can use Sylvaneth in Living City armies without needing to ally them in.
The Drycha model is an amazing model. I really want to buy one to convert as something in my hedonites of slaanesh army. What do you think would be a good fit? Keeper of secrets? Daemon prince?
The faction that got me into Age of Sigmar, and currently the contender with the Daughters of Khaine as my favorite faction. I do wish they had more models though, especially more tree-revenant style units. I would kill for a tree-Revenant archer unit, or more female style tree-revenant (all we have is the two from the Yenari's guardians and the Arch-Revenant)
@@Kitetsu Yeah, it's honestly a shame they are limited to only being one model from the underworlds warband. They could also do some kind of elite version of the normal Revenants, perhaps more armored and armed with Halberds
Would also love if the models like the branchwraith and dryads got redone. The branchwraith could have the more aleven form like a priestess of Allarielle further unifying the range, along with maybe an alt build for dryads
With the recent Rumour Engine image of an owl, I'm hoping we might seen an expansion for this army, once the Luminath are done and dusted, as this army desperately needs some new, ah, sap, to make it competitive in a single faction army.
I hope the Kurnothi in Beastgrave are a taste of things to come for the Sylvaneth, but I'm not holding my breath. I've already made that mistake with the Darkoath.
The beastgrave sylvaneth warriors with animal aesthetics would be interesting to see with animal riders (deer/elk), hawks and even bugs like beetles and praying mantis's acting as war mounts and even monstrous creatures. That would spice them up greatly
Yea it’s just all very “wood elf” and “Warhammer fantasy” once you start adding those kinds of units in. Which is why I’m surprised we got the new wild hunt unit
Nice to see you back Kitetsu :) I agree! I rly like Sylvaneth too but can't believe they have so few models and none have been added, bar the Arch-revenant - which i think should be a bigger model for its importance, it's so tiny. They even have chance to add more units with the latest battletome (which many people prefer the older one from a rule standpoint - it certainly had more content and better art and design imo) and the endless spells, which are very nice! Still, I've never quite fathomed the logic to GW's recent army updates; some have endless spells, some do not, some have a scenery piece and some don't and some (Cities of Sigmar) have neither! Why would you not just give them all Spells and a scenery piece?!
I guess the thing with cities is that they are not one faction: they are a collection of tons of factions from across a range of cities. They more represent the “typical people” of the realms and as such endless spells might be slightly less applicable. But good spot. I hadn’t really thought about that. Don’t forget skaeth’s wild hunt though! They are new and 100% awesome. I talk about them right near the end of the video :)
@@Kitetsu Yes true Skaeth's wild hunt are pretty cool :) was rumoured at the time it was going to be GW's new version of Wood Elves, though like you I do miss the Wood Elves of old! I'm using those old models now in a Living City army, the beauty of which you can now mix in Sylvaneth - I've found it great fun and compensation in the meantime! :)
I really wish there were more Sylvaneth models as well :(. It's the only reason I'm not playing them right now, painting a million dryads and revenants is not pleasing, even if the Kurnoth and Treelords are a joy to paint
Am interested in making some for Warcry. no idea where to start. Hope a Warcry army box comes out for them. No idea how they play in Warcry. maybe proxy the Underworlds warband for stuff.
I'm not playing AoS, but I am interested. Can't one combine Sylvaneth with Eternal Guard/Sisters of the Watch/Nomad Prince/etc.?? That way it can still keep some of that wood elf vibe..
Absolutely. What you can do is make them an “order” army instead of a “sylvaneth” army. You will lose some of their special, unique rules. But you can definitely do it!!
The one thing I really really don’t like about the gods is they make what we’re once interesting charictors into posh overpowered charictors with no human emotion and almost no flaws. For example alarial used to be the queen of the high elves and I’m the end times queen of all elves she would have don’t anything for her people and was unwaveringly loyal to them; but in aos she ended up shunning all the wood elves after the age of chaos and turned down the Opportunity to revive her old elves and help Tyrion her own lover and baby daddy to help rebuild there lost culture which she once felt obligated to. Now she just makes tree people. I felt like it was a real missed opportunity to make an amazing looking new wool elves faction
The forest dragon was my favorite dragon model from the old style dragons. I have one somewhere that needs love ( ie, i need to finish the conversion i started on him and get some paint on him)
“Would you love to see more units?” At the same time you’re on the GW shop and it only shows 18 available models (counting the starter box iirc)... I watch a lot of bat reps, and have found during playing, that EVERY army with the 17-20 model available are boring to watch/play against. So few options given, imo, limits the variety you see on the table and what strategy is viable.
I dislike every model in this specific range. The treelords specifically look all very stiff. The tree reverents are also not my cup of tee, *BUT* I still bought most of the models for Age of Fantasy and converted them all to look less like high fantasy ents/ghosts and more like dark fantasy tree monstrosities... and ghosts.
GW is too busy pumping out more and more new Space Marine models to be bothered with giving many AoS factions more than a handful of kits, ie Slyvaneth, Lumineth and Fire Slayers.
Would love to see more models! Things unify the range, match the asthetic. Would love cavalary on flying wardroth beatles, a large generic hero for the Spities ala the dankhold maybe something like the total war treekin.
Flying wardroth beetle cavalry sounds awesome!!!!
If you take one thing from this video let it be this: Alarielle's thighs could snap the neck of a greater deamon.
Cant argue with that.
If I've got to die then I can think of worse ways than that.
I think sylvaneth needs more spites units - more bugs, more varieties of zepheriths and of course a unit of tree revenant archers
"This is one of my favourite model in age of sigmar". You say that about half of the models in age of sigmar. =)
Hahaha you got me 😅 I have a long list of favourites
poldo olivia testament to the quality of the models nowadays!
EDIT: big rumour video going up tonight!! I’m editing it now
My first ever age of sigmar army. It holds a special place for me. I have a few discussion videos planned but maggotkin / skaven / nighthaunt are on the way!
On Everqueen: "everything about this model is stunning..." *cursor hovers over them thicc thighs*
I love how enthusiastic you sound talking about these models. Enthusiasm is infectious, good video.

Yeah buddy! One of my favorite youtubers is back with some cool vids to make me happier during my quarantine!

I'm getting heart attack from how good the models are... I'm dying slowly by just looking at them.
They do look amazing! Love them!!

Making a video on it as I type. It’s going up tonight 😆😆😆😆
Kitetsu look forward to it

You know I love these guys the tree lords are my personal favourite I'll probably make them my next army.

I think kurnoth hunters might just be the coolest unit in age of sigmar.😀
Can't wait for the next video.
They are definitely contenders for that position!!
I hope the Kurnothi in Beastgrave are a taste of things to come for the Sylvaneth, but I'm not holding my breath. I've already made that mistake with the Darkoath.
I just love wood elves .. when I got back into warhammer thay were my first armi . Then chaos ,,,,
Agreed. I still have my army book for wood elves. Love them. Hope they return to the old world in style

yes we should add more models
I would like to see tree revenant archers
Like the guardian with the bow
Id give you my metal branchwraith (drycha) model, but she is cut up and used as the figurehead on a goblin chariot made out of dryads. *Evil Grin*

some ranged tree revenants would be dope
maybe some beetle cavalry
Love the idea of beetle cavalry!! It would be so cool
Also I'd love if we got a kurnoth that looked like the bloodborne Cleric beast
Love bloodborne. One of the only games I platinumed

Yeah they need more models desperately. But lol dryads.... airbrush them brown and give them a quick drybrushing 😂😂
I wish that Beetle from alarielle would be used more could be the living tank of sylvaneth
Am interested in making some for Warcry. no idea where to start. Hope a Warcry army box comes out for them. No idea how they play in Warcry. maybe proxy the Underworlds warband for stuff.
I want them to bring wood elves back and place them in sylvaneth
i think sylvaneth needs more animals, like the beetles just on their own, deers, owls, you name it. and also more big tree bois.
Also a ranged base infantry
great models, the deep strike mechanic is seriously hampered by the Awakened Wyldwood restrictions (Living City is better for that).
not enough models compared to what? FEC, BCR, FS and IJaws?
Armies don't have many model kits.

Agreed. I would love a new wood elves faction too. But the wanderers betrayed her and she doesn’t forgive very easily!!
I feel like they just did what they needed to do to protect there families because unlike the silvaneth if they dye they don’t come back
Seraphon next please
Yes
All i want is a Forest dragon and a cav unit.
I have every finger crossed that we get a forest dragon for wood elves in The Old World.
The forest dragon was my favorite dragon model from the old style dragons. I have one somewhere that needs love ( ie, i need to finish the conversion i started on him and get some paint on him)
best tree is the nurgle tree :D
Do you know what... that nurgle tree is a damn cool bit of scenery. I want one 😅

-100 points for being sylvaneth and making it nearly impossible to transport the models without giving yourself a stroke...
Love the Sylvaneth and would love to see more models!
Did anyone ever point out that your voice is a bit like Rob Pearson’s @ Playstation Access?
