@@warpfireminisAny chance of the Soulblight Gravelords? I'm looking at the Kastelai at the moment. But also want to try both the Sylvaneth and The Daughters.
As a new player to AoS, these videos are so well layed out but also a really great showcase of the armies! I would love to see more for all the factions for sure to really showcase AoS. I'm able to learn some of the nuonces of list building as well as some of the cool mechanics these models have! Thankyou for the effort you put in to making these. I have subbed for that reason.
I recently had the idea of getting into warhammer fantasy, then i found out it was discontinued 8 years ago, then I find AoS. It is a dauting task to get into and I gotta admit, I love your videos. Easy to digest and informative!
Thank you very much for this video. I want to switch over from 40k since I like the AOS Models way better. This is a very nice video to get into my chosen Army :)
Whoops! You're right, you can set up within 3" as long as one of the remaining models is within 3" still, just not into a new enemy unit you aren't within 3" of.
Great Video with some great information, especially enjoyed the tips and tricks the Revenant Seekers can help with. One small correction, at 21:35 you say you can tie something else in combat with a unit due to the return, you cannot place models within 3" of a unit you are not already within 3" of. Core rules 14.2.1 RETURNING SLAIN MODELS. Otherwise great video with great tips and tricks
Great video, I’m just getting into Sylvaneth and this is really helpful, just wondering what your recipe for the blue on the arch-revenant is it looks amazing, thanks
Amazing Video. I don't play Sylvaneth but finally understand what they do and what each unit is called and what they look like and do. Would love to see this for more races :) A little tipp. Could you leave in the name of the artifact, season, unit etc. that you talk about. It helps to remember the names and not have to constantly scroll back m Thx a lot 😊
Thank you for the video! Very clean explanations! Big fan of Drycha and Warsong, trying to build a competitive list with them and some kurnoth! The Heartwood list you made looks fun! Any chnages you would make to it to kick it into higher gear? Greatbows useful at all? Thank you for any help im a very new player.
Greatbows can be solid for sure as they can contribute while not being in the fight; you're typically only full sending one unit in at a time so that you can fade them back out. If you wanted to swap some Scythes or Rev Seekers out for bows it'd probably be fine.
Gossamids are situationally great. They don't do much damage, but the movement blocking they can do with their Unleash Hell trick can be REALLY good into melee focused armies that don't do a bunch of MW on the charge. Armies that have shooting, good spells, or MW on the charge can just delete them a little too fast; for ranged damage I'd stick with the Kurnoth Bows myself.
@@chrismckerron3691 In these videos I'm only going to cover the "stand-out" units, unfortunately the Lady of Vines doesn't fall under that for me. The Dryad summon being reliant on the 2+, no bonus to cast, being a named character, and having a weak melee profile keeps the Lady of Vines out of the vast majority of competitive lists.
In some melee-focused matchups they can be the MVP, and then other matches they're the worst thing on the battlefield; the disparity there is why we don't see them star in a lot of competitive lists.
For Sylvaneth the Vanguard box or two is a great start, then I'd add in a Warsong Revenant pretty quick too! The Wyldwood box is called an, "Awakened Wyldwood"
I’m so glad a new AoS channel exist.
It's time to retire these models to Old World -diabolical laugh-
As someone who's just about to start collecting Sylvaneth, I'm really glad that you made this video - thank you!
Can you please make a video like this for every army? I loved every minute of this.
There are a couple that I wouldn't call myself an expert on that I'll skip, but we'll try to work our way through most of them!
@@warpfireminis that would be amazing 👌👌👌. If you need help on the Kruleboyz let me know 😉

Love to see the Sisters of Twilight ride out again with Alarielle. Very cool conversion with the Queen and her loyal bodygaurds!
They died i think also woodelves were kicked of of the woods for being lazy
Love these start playing videos! Looking forward to soulblight and S2D!
This was super helpful as someone who is looking to get into the hobby! I’ll have to check out your shop!
This was so helpful. Just started AoS with some buddies and chose Sylvaneth. Thanks! Looking forward to more videos!

Only to find old world warhammer fantasy is now a thing again. 😅
Great video. I’ve always liked sylvaneth I’m sure I’ll eventually start collecting them.
This video, along with some Season of War bat reps, have convinced me to start the game with a Slyvaneth Army. Wish me luck!
Good luck!
Finding this video for 4th Ed AoS was very helpful.
That's such a beautiful Alarielle conversion!
Nice video, would love one on idoneth deepkin
This videos great. Just about to start sylvaneth, this helps out loads 👍🏻👍🏻
I appreciate this. It helped me figure out how I want to build my army
This video was really excellent. Thank you!
Love the painting!
Drycha is a slingshot. She can teleport and shoot so her threat range is massive
Yep, love me some Drycha! She always does solid damage and opponents always freak out when you tell them it's 20 shots coming their way haha.
Crazy how that Revenant seeker tactic almost triples your chances of making the charge
Thank you

Awesome content!
Can’t return slain models to tag units previously untagged by that unit though
Whoops! You're right, you can set up within 3" as long as one of the remaining models is within 3" still, just not into a new enemy unit you aren't within 3" of.
What are the paints you used for your minis I love the color scheme
Great vid. A really good actual how to play rather than just running on about abilities and warscrolls.

Yep, can't tie them in combat! Thought for a second you could if you were already in combat, but definitely can't.
This video will definitely help my girl cheers mate
Great video, I’m just getting into Sylvaneth and this is really helpful, just wondering what your recipe for the blue on the arch-revenant is it looks amazing, thanks
That one was mostly Aethermatic Blue Contrast then, Baharroth Blue for touch ups/highlights, then dry brush on some white!
@@warpfireminis thanks
to get ward 6+ from burgeoning unit wholly within forest or overgrown cant charge :) important thing with this season
Absolutely!
Amazing Video. I don't play Sylvaneth but finally understand what they do and what each unit is called and what they look like and do. Would love to see this for more races :)

Noted, I'll make sure we put that in the future videos!
Do you guys sell your 9 inch measuring stick?
They'll go up on the website tomorrow!
They're up!
Is it possible that you could do Seraphon next?
Gonna give that one a little bit longer to settle in on what the best units are, lots of playtesting still going on with the new book!

1st army i bought a yr or so ago is sylvaneth. Never played. Im finally building them now. You said we can summon trees?
What recipe did you use to get the colours for the Durthu sword and Drycha hives?
Gossamid archers?
Gossamids are situationally great. They don't do much damage, but the movement blocking they can do with their Unleash Hell trick can be REALLY good into melee focused armies that don't do a bunch of MW on the charge. No Lady of Vines either

I thought they'd nerfed the spiteswarm hive recently?
Nope, no FAQ's or anything about the Spiteswarm that I know of.
You might be thinking of endless spells not working with spellsinger anymore. But the hive endless spell is still good.
I need to ask, whats about Gossamid Archers? Are they worth the point or just a pointgrave?
In some melee-focused matchups they can be the MVP, and then other matches they're the worst thing on the battlefield; the disparity there is why we don't see them star in a lot of competitive lists.
And how can I start Sylvaneth? Which boxes are for a great start, also what was the name of the box for the wildwoods?
For Sylvaneth the Vanguard box or two is a great start, then I'd add in a Warsong Revenant pretty quick too! The Wyldwood box is called an, "Awakened Wyldwood"
Omg. Do y'all do 40k army reviews
Not yet, but we'll see what 10th edition has in store!
3x kurnuth with bows and drycha focus firing any unit that come,s close 25 dmg? Or sniping key units.
Three units of Kurnoth bows + Drycha focus firing will do around 25 damage to a 4+ save.
Sylvaneth are broken confirmed
lol ok...🙄
No cohereny is now 6
They did update the coherency since we put up the video! Really cool change that helps out the Sword Kurnoth!
