These are basically just Technicals, civilian vehicles armed and armored up to serve a military role. For anyone curious Google the Toyota War for more information on this type of vehicle in real life war.
GTA-style Star Wars is something I'd definitely play. You could be a bounty hunter and have maybe a Solar System with a few select worlds to roam around in- 5* notoriety puts you on Jedi/Sith hitlists.
I think that the medical speeder's tower might make sense for navigating the soft foliage of Naboo while still being able to see landmarks or smoke from a crash. The 45° ramp is still bad though.
I remember playing the land speeder levels in Battle for Naboo on the N64. It was real frustrating sometimes because it couldn’t take much damage before blowing up, and you were fighting tanks all the time! But it made getting into a star fighter feel real good!
I really don't remember the Gian speeder being faster than the Flash speeder in Battle for Naboo... It was definitely slower in the game. It made vehicle selection much more fun when trying to figure out if you needed speed vs firepower during specific missions
I love this video, it’s got a different energy than the usual vehicle breakdowns, it’s feels less scripted and more genuine reaction which it’s probably a mix of both and I’m all in for it, I wanna see more videos with this energy!
These speeders were the bane of my existence during my playthrough of classic Battlefront 1. I genuinely think they lack any sort of way to receive damage
Naboo speeders are the Star Wars equivalent of Toyota Hilux. They are repulsor pickup trucks with "yes" amount of guns. If I'd be a pirare or insurgent in GFFA, you'd damn be sure I'd invest in a fleet of those beauts.
Not an expert just my idea. Perhaps the design of the shelter speeder was to assist in marsh environments with the wings keeping the craft floated in case of sinkage and the ramp being adjustable for a marsh landing. No honest clue just defending the ugly duckling 😂
Naboo really has some amazing speeders. The Gian Speeder will always be my favorite thanks to the OG SWBF. And the Flash Speeder has a really fitting name given its high speed. The Champion and Steadfast were pretty cool too, even if a little silly. SWGB had some interesting vehicles given to the Royal Naboo.
Love the vehicles (and appreciate how they may have inspired Rebel Alliance mobile division doctrine), but alas, not a fan of them staying civilian-ish because their planet had to be endearingly peace loving and nature preserving. Would rather command an IFT from the Republic or the Empire instead... vehicles like it has that proper sensha-dō feel, all things considered.
@@mill2712 yeah, shame the separatists never invested enough on snipers or mortars, cuz the AT-TEs and AT-APs would be rendered useless in like the first 10 minutes of any battle
I will NEVER understand Naboo's government. They have an elected king or queen that had terms of service in which they couldn't serve as king or queen for only a certain number of years like a president. Why call them kings and queens then instead of another title? Also, the king or queen seems to be selected from only a nobility class, if I understood Padme's explanation from AotC where she explained how she rose to be queen

“Well in this video, we’re back on our bullsh*t”
That’s why we love y’all
I like how Naboo's designs look like retro futuristic design from the 40s and 50s.
I feel like this was Lucas’s nod to American Graffiti
That... makes a lot of sense
You mean the way star wars was intended to feel?
These are basically just Technicals, civilian vehicles armed and armored up to serve a military role. For anyone curious Google the Toyota War for more information on this type of vehicle in real life war.
These things were a blast in the OG Battlefront. Swap to first person mode and run over Jedi. Closest thing to GTA Star Wars
GTA-style Star Wars is something I'd definitely play.
You could be a bounty hunter and have maybe a Solar System with a few select worlds to roam around in- 5* notoriety puts you on Jedi/Sith hitlists.
Finnally, after all these years someone adresses these very dope speeders. Low key one of the most fascinating parts of the Phantom Menace
Go watch the bread circus
The Gian speeders were great in Battlefront. I love that the Rebellion basically has an upgraded version.
I think that the medical speeder's tower might make sense for navigating the soft foliage of Naboo while still being able to see landmarks or smoke from a crash.

The Flash Speeder is basically the Star Wars version of a Warthog.
It's amazing how many one off designs each pre Disney movie had
Loved driving Flash speeders in Battle for Naboo, nothing more fun than running over B1s
I really don't remember the Gian speeder being faster than the Flash speeder in Battle for Naboo... It was definitely slower in the game. It made vehicle selection much more fun when trying to figure out if you needed speed vs firepower during specific missions
The Steadfast was my favorite assault mech from Galactic Battlegrounds
You missed the Swamp Speeder in Battle for Naboo. It's a cheat code, but it is there.
Huh, never knew about it. Wish I still had that game.
@@TheGoddamnBacon Well, you can also get it if you platinum I think all the missions.
I am genuinely surprised this channel doesn't have more subs.
Abeloth knows it deserves it
The Naboo should’ve a reservist security force to Marshall in the case of invasion.

7:50 the most lethal part about the S130 Shelter is making its enemies dying of laughter
After seeing them in action in the videogame “Battlefront” countering“Chicken Walkers”, I’m just as baffled that the rebellion didn’t utilize them.
The Empire realized their power and stopped production of them. Probably.
Can you do a video series creating your own police force millitary millia ect please
I wonder how the Republic would've fared had it used some of these land speeders designs.
Could you do a video about the Super Tactical Droid Linwodo? He was the one in charge during the Battle of Kashyyyk.
Cloud city car says hello
Do a video on the star wars massiff and narglack species.
Do a video on star wars types of vibro blades.

I would like to request an episode on the use of music iucn clone wars, specifically the use the Vader theme
TX-130 Saber tank 4ever
I guess it sounds more impressive in kilometers per hour. divide the speed value by 1.609 for Freedom Units
Naboo's entire vehicle fleet was technical trucks.

Do a video on the star wars skyhopper air speeder.
I love your star wars channel so much it's so cool the Republic should have never stop using these speeders
Agreed.
There are many vehicles the Republic shouldn't have stopped using.
Dont too tall if you have to shoot the flash speeder cannon
Indeed

That game has so many cool designs that barely pop up elsewhere
6:22 I've not seen that vehicle before.
6:49 I did not like the design of that craft from Clone Wars. & I didn't know some of the other craft.

Really doesnt matter how well-armored the Gian Speeder itself is, if it has an open cockpit that leaves every one of its occupants completely exposed
A moderately skilled marksman should be able to render these a non factor.
@@mill2712 yeah, shame the separatists never invested enough on snipers or mortars, cuz the AT-TEs and AT-APs would be rendered useless in like the first 10 minutes of any battle
I love it when you show galactic battlegrounds vehicles, I personally want to see the Wookiee starfighters and aircraft next

Swgb has alot of unique speeders and hovertanks from the ones the naboo like steadfast to the ones the wookies used etc
i miss the sounds they make in star wars battlefront (2004)
Algorithm comment again boys 🤝
