The sad thing about this cat is that he’s not feral, clearly he’s socialized and very loving. This means that at one point, he did have a loving home. I’m glad he found you guys
Pythonaria We don’t know that. Many people in Brooklyn live well beneath the poverty line. As they stated in the video, there aren’t any permanent low cost spay/neuter clinics in Brooklyn, leaving many poor families with no means of paying for the operation, afraid of eviction because neighbors are complaining about the smell of a spraying cat or the howling of a female in heat. It’s not an excuse for putting a defenseless animal out in the cold, but it’s a reason why it happens
@@JonFD Indeed. I live in the UK and we have a national organisation called Cats Protection. They give neutering/spaying vouchers to people on benefits (welfare) or low incomes. This covers most of the cost of neutering/spaying. I'm surprised you don't have something similar in America.

Oh, God, he reminds me so much of the young kitty I lost two years ago. Same affectionate nature, same constant biscuit-making, same curling around the head.
After decades of only having female cats, I got my first male Tuxie five years ago. I was startled at the difference in physique from the girls he showed - more muscular, stronger chest and legs, and his forepaws were totally different: Not only were the claws much larger and thicker, the "fingers" themselves were larger and longer by probably 25%. And where the girl's "thumbs" are almost vestigial, his are right out there and he uses them as much as the "fingers" for gripping and clawing. I should note that he's not an especially big cat otherwise - our middle (in age) Tortie is longer and heavier... but his "maleness" is still very evident when you see them side-by-side. I now find it pretty easy to identify a male cat from a female without looking at their rear ends. :-)
I just found your pleasant little channel and I love it! I'm a teen who fosters mostly kittens with my mom and I love finding others who love cats just as much as us. Your videos have helped me understand a bit more about how to handle cats and kitties and the videos are just a joy to watch and always brighten my day :) I hope more people see these videos and learn how to help cats.
I saw this little guys image and had to watch without looking at the title as he looks like my littlest girl Mina. Pink mouse, nose, always wants the attention, makes the biscuits when happy, tail pops up when she knows you have her attention.
we need to get tnr programs on the epa's to-do list. reducing cat population not only prevents sweet adorable cats like this from living in the streets, but it also preserves your local ecology, which can be severely disrupted by a large population of cats. if you make it about the environmental issues, you might be able to pressure your state representatives to propose legislature that would give the epa a budget to fund more tnr programs
Danielle Spargo That’s one of countless reasons why I’m voting for progressives- so the EPA can be properly funded to help communities across the country 😺
I have two cats, one is 4yrs old and the other is 8months. I could never leave them on a street and I never understood how can someone leave such a beautiful animal alone. Little bear is amazing, he’s such a handsome little guy. I hope his new family will take good care of him!
I spoke with someone who worked at an animal shelter in mid 2000's. After the financial crisis of 2008 dragged on to '09, the '10, she told me people were heartbroken to surrender their pets thinking the shelter would find them a new home as they were on the brink of being homeless. Even though that time has passed, and the economy is booming, I see examples of people still on a paycheck to paycheck existence & one financial emergency away from dire straits. The most recent Govt shutdown where unpaid employees were lining up at food banks after 3weeks, that speaks volumes to me. I never judge, but I do correct people who honestly believe that cats are these self-sufficient creates who can easily adapt to being dumped.
@ShariSez1 I am in *complete* agreement. Furthermore, pet owners who rent grapple with increasing costs here in H-town as landlords apply monthly fees in addition to the standard pet deposit. There's a lot of new mid/high rise inventory being offered at promotional offers & teaser rates, but when the lease is up & the pet owner has to move, there is a scramble to find new housing at a similar price point. Right now on my Yahoo page: *Millennial wealth is still lagging behind previous generations at the same age.* "Millennials own 4% of all U.S. real estate at the end of last year, compared with 12.9% for Gen X when they were at the same age in 2002. Boomers held about 32% in 1990 when the middle of the generation was around 35." Just recently on FBC instagram, there were 2 surrenders [Sima & Oscar] due to a "mean landlord" It's more complicated than people realize. And for all our social media outreach, pet owners struggle to find someone in their immediate inner circle who can help them out & offer shelter until things are stabilized.
OMG...He is SUCH a Beautiful boy - so loving and playful. I often despair for this world, when you have humans who would: 1) Dump this poor Cat in the streets and 2) put a heavy, dangerous chain around his neck. Just vile behaviour on so many levels. I hope you have a wonderful, new life Little Bear, in a loving forever home, chasing feathers and making biscuits.
I often despair for the world. Isnt that the truth @Canuckmom1958. And it doesnt matter what color or race they are. Sick, demented, cruel people come in all colors and walks of life

Little bear reminds me so much of a stray named Rocky(after the flying squirrel) because she would leap from the top of the dresser to the middle of the bed to come be with me. She was a stray living in a hangar raising a litter at at small airport. Her litter had been accidentally killed by someone. She came into the airport office an adopted me. Sweetest cat I ever had. I appreciate the well done videos on how to work with the strays and the work that you do.
My boyfriend's cat is like that with Da Bird toy - absolutely no thought as to how or where she is going to land until about half a second before impact. All her focus is on the toy!
Allah bless you "Flatbush". Just rescued a very abused neglected lovely female cat who was close to death. Only for the owners to retrieve from the vet and surprise surprise put her back on the street. She is a bag of bones. Sincere love to all the lovers of animals. Love from Manchester uk. X
We actually rescued a 9/10 months old cat earlier this year, while his brother was rescued by our neighbors. He kinda act like that, wanting cuddles, sleeping in our necks, and surely knows he likes home.
What a beautiful boy! I know even basic veterinary care can be expensive, but no animal deserves to be abandoned. I just wish people would think seriously before taking on an animal - they're not toys, they're little souls. So pleased this gorgeous boy got the loving home he deserves.
OMG look at his lovely green eyes. Such a sweet sweet boy ..... ! "He never stopped making biscuits .." God I love him allready so much ... By the way : This guy has the loveliest "cat -petting" hands I have ever seen !!!
“Rescued cats seem aware of their journey”: so true! We took in a young cat this summer I found in the alley and there's a moment each day where she excitedly comes to intensely lick my nose and then runs to my boyfriend to lick his nose and then back to me etc. (when we're each on our computers) Her tongue is like sandpaper, it hurts but she's absolutely adorable. We made sure to get her vaccinated, neutered and she even has a microchip.
While under lockdown with family, we adopted an abandoned female kitten found by the security guards. Her whiskers had been cut down to a quarter inch. In another month she'll be the 2 lbs required for neutering. She stays with my SIL and MIL plus her kitty who's 6 months older. From a lounge lap kitty to Olympic gymnast contender was the transformation. Lol. SIL claims having a "little sister" is the best thing to have ever happened to her kitty. We think SIL is the best. ❤️
After all the really bad things happening, seeing comments like yours helps me reconcile with life in general. It's heartwarming to know there are people going out of their way to help abandoned and mistreated animals - and see how they end up teaching us to connect more with our hearts.
The sight of that big, heavy - looking chain made me gasp in horror! What sort of person would put that around a little cat's neck. OMG, thank you so much for saving him. He's got such a lovely personality. You're so right about cats needing exercise. My furbaby is 19 years old and, sadly for me, she's got renal failure. But, she still has what I call her "mad half hours"!!! After breakfast she takes off and runs around the house in a circle, chases her tail and plays with her toys for exactly 30 minutes. Then she comes over to me and lies in my lap looking at me as if to say: "Aren't I amazing"??
Aww his face! Sooo pretty. Also that comment about Brooklyn's lack of spaying and neutering program really surprised me. It's such a large city. It's sad
Simon 's Unfortunately either the owner couldn’t keep him...no excuse just what happens ...or he got out of the cute kitten stage and they couldn’t or wouldn’t get him neutered. I wish folks wouldn’t just dump a baby on the street...
The little biscuit maker has such a docile personality. I have many cats in need of help, but ignorant neighbors keep harassing any attempts to help. I need to get away from some people 🙄 We need low cost spay/neuter. These cats need us.

Such a handsome energetic boy❤❤❤
god these videos always make me cry. constantly making biscuits......... oh my god....... little bear.....
@4:40 I cried after that sentence..
Read that in Space Ghost's voice. He would say that tho.
I just found your pleasant little channel and I love it! I'm a teen who fosters mostly kittens with my mom and I love finding others who love cats just as much as us.
Your videos have helped me understand a bit more about how to handle cats and kitties and the videos are just a joy to watch and always brighten my day :)
I hope more people see these videos and learn how to help cats.
Be sure to check out Kitten School if you haven't already.
"This cat looks in good shape, maybe this video won't make me cry!" ...nope, still bawling.
Thank you for all the work you do.
I saw this little guys image and had to watch without looking at the title as he looks like my littlest girl Mina. Pink mouse, nose, always wants the attention, makes the biscuits when happy, tail pops up when she knows you have her attention.
Is so sad seeing all these house cats living on the streets in Brooklyn :(
Meowria Sadly it happens everywhere - spay and neuter always. 👍💜🐈💜
we need to get tnr programs on the epa's to-do list. reducing cat population not only prevents sweet adorable cats like this from living in the streets, but it also preserves your local ecology, which can be severely disrupted by a large population of cats.
if you make it about the environmental issues, you might be able to pressure your state representatives to propose legislature that would give the epa a budget to fund more tnr programs
Danielle Spargo That’s one of countless reasons why I’m voting for progressives- so the EPA can be properly funded to help communities across the country 😺
Little Bear looks like one, who has crossed the rainbow bridge, of my purrrrrrrfect babies. 😻😻😻
You guys really make a difference and knowing you're out there helping cats makes the world a little bit better. thank you.
So true ! 💞
I'm so mad at myself now after watching this video with THIS particular cat! Little Bear is literally the living embodiment of my dream cat!!
Boomers held about 32% in 1990 when the middle of the generation was around 35."
Just recently on FBC instagram, there were 2 surrenders [Sima & Oscar] due to a "mean landlord" It's more complicated than people realize. And for all our social media outreach, pet owners struggle to find someone in their immediate inner circle who can help them out & offer shelter until things are stabilized.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!😍🐈😍
OMG...He is SUCH a Beautiful boy - so loving and playful.
And the fact that he'd still trust humans after all he had been through. 😫❤❤
I often despair for the world. Isnt that the truth @Canuckmom1958. And it doesnt matter what color or race they are. Sick, demented, cruel people come in all colors and walks of life
Comme il est joli, charmant +++++!
Et quel besoin de câlins, de caresses ! !
Une vraie boule d'amour.
Merci à vous.
oh god Little Bear kneading the pillow just.....awwww
Omg MARCHING Little Bear. So many biscuits!! ❤️❤️❤️
He never stops moving his front legs ,😀 so cute
What a sweet cat!!!
I agree about cats recognizing they have been rescued. I appreciate efforts of people like you.
My favorite part is when he's jumping and it's synched to the music
It needed a slightly faster beat so it would look like a kung fu training montage scene, but that's just me 😊
I just love how you manage to capture the personalities of those amazing creatures. you really create awareness. and your affection for these guys is truly inspiring.
“...it’s an honor to be a part of his journey..” My heart just exploded. I love watching your channel! Thank you for the work you do and the recordings you share. 🐈
i love how you always have the perfect music for the mood of the video. Sometimes i get depressed and full of anxiety, but when i see your videos, it calms me down and takes my stress away. Thank you for being such an awesome person to these cats that are in need of your help. Cheers from Canada!
The voice overs/narrations are also gentle and soothing.
He keeps making biscuits and I cry 😭😭
Man I can't believe this loving great little guy was abandoned. He just wants to give so much love and appreciation for you just being around.
Amazing jumping sequence. Lovely little cat.
He’s a cute love bug❤
I love the slo-mo jumping montage! Reminds me of my boy who flings himself heedlessly in the direction of his flying “prey” ❤️
I have yet to meet a cat who didn’t go nuts at the sight of that “Da Bird” toy. Their “Da Purr-peller” is great, too.
Wasn't that great? And the music they chose for it!! So funny and well done!
Sweet Little Bear😍 thank you for saving him💟
What a sweet boy😍🥰
OMG look at his lovely green eyes. Such a sweet sweet boy ..... ! "He never stopped making biscuits .." God I love him allready so much ... By the way : This guy has the loveliest "cat -petting" hands I have ever seen !!!
"Some are born to sweet delight. Some are born to endless night."
RIP, William Blake, Jim Morrison and Ray Manzerak. Great line.
..love you, sweet "Little Bear", and love you, Flatbush Cats!
Your videos make me SOB but I can't stop watching.
What a precious and athletic boy is Little Bear. Thank you for all you do to help homeless cats! God bless you and your work!
He truly is amazing, as is this video, showcasing his skills and nature. Whattaguy!
Thank you for all you do.
You have the best catvideos on youtube!
Agree completely!!!
he is sweet. l love him, little bear.
What a loving kitty!!
What a lovely little fella, thanks for everything you do for these cats guys, god bless you always and salutes from Medellín Colombia.
Omg what a snugglebug! I'm so glad he found his way to you ❤️❤️❤️
Aww his face! Sooo pretty. Also that comment about Brooklyn's lack of spaying and neutering program really surprised me. It's such a large city. It's sad
Love you guys, who in their right mind would dump this wonderful cat, he gives free back massages, what were they thinking, LOL!!!!
OMG what a love boy. So glad he found a home.
The music is so relaxing & your voice is so soothing
He is TOO darn cute! So happy he's safe
Thank you!
Hope Little Bear is doing well An absolutely beautiful cat. A little athlete. Thank you for all you do for Brooklyn cats.
Cats are amazing! And this kitty is no exception!
