Not to be rude, but listen to the first comment.
I personally have seen Community Cat Colonies and Barn Cats not show aggression to strangers And I don't think it's because the "interloper" was ill. I HAVE seen what would pass for compassion in humans, shown to cats, by cats. Ferals have a rep because they have to struggle every day to survive.
Almost seems like he heard from local cats that there was a safe human in the area that fed them & he came looking for help. Lovely seeing the transformation. Should be proud of yourself.
They'll also leave more food for pregnant and mother cats! Cats are also known for adopting orphaned kittens and other animals like puppies or baby birds. I never believe the people who say cats can't feel empathy
I have a cat with her kittens because she was on the streets and she doesn't likes my other cats, but I had one of my cats spayed and was weak and it was like the mother cat knew that and it didn't bother nor she got angry with her when she was close to her.
Julius looked so sick when you rescued him. You even gave him time to adjust to the area of the trap. You gave such careful thought into his capture and care. Thank you for caring for Julius and I hope his forever home is coming very soon.
I must be an ice cold heart person. I heard his pleas and my thoughts were to get his vitals and listen to his chest and get some fluids into him if possible.
What a handsome cat. I loved seeing his transformation from ruggedly handsome kitty to pretty kitty. He seems like he has a beautiful personality too. I'm so glad another cat was rescued and taken from the streets.
I love how the other cats were so compassionate: they saw he clearly was very sick, so they wanted to share their food and shelter with him, instead of throwing him out. 🐈 Cats can have empathy just as humans can! ♥️♥️♥️
I believe it is also because they see that he is not a threat. Being sick and older, they know they don’t have to worry about kicking him out because he won’t try to assert dominance in their territory.
@@Tunt Agreed. I have two big cat houses in my yard. The permanent residents are a she-cat, her two feral children, and a crippled elderly cat. The she-cat and her progeny don't like the company of most male cats (including the two living in my house), but they don't mind that one cat, and cuddle with him even though he doesn't seem to be related to them (he has a tabby pattern, while the she-cat and all her offspring don't have it). It seems they don't perceive him as a threat.
I don't believe any of that is true. Some cats are treated with respect by other cats. They know they are strong or something. They are not built for compassionate acceptance.
The other cats probably new he was sick so they let him go first. There are alot of people who will feed the strays in my neighborhood (we are all big on capture spade and release) and its not uncommon for that kinda thing to happen

I have a ragdoll cat and Julius has a lot of ragdoll features, his physical features, the way his coat looks (after getting healthy), his total chill out personality, the way he sleeps, whoever adopted/adopts him is very lucky, hes a very special cat indeed.
I had a Ragdoll mix, she was the sweetest, most loving, and most beautiful cat I ever had. She got sick last year and the vet said she had cancer in her sinus. I kept her comfortable as I could for as long as I could, but when she wasn't hardly eating or drinking I couldn't bare to see her suffering and I had to put her to sleep. That was the hardest thing I ever had to do. She passed one month and nine days before her sixteenth birthday. At least I had almost sixteen years with her. I still and may always love and miss her. I've got a lump in my throat and have been crying as I wrote this.
I was about to say this! I have a ragdoll too with also cream colour and they look alike.. we’ve had cats before but this one is the sweetest ever. She loves attention, never brings animals home, never uses her claws and loves to talk. She is the best ^_^ and very pretty, she reminds me of dutchess from aristocats
Sore thumbs I think what’s pathetic is that you’re heartless enough to feel no empathy towards suffering animals, if you think it’s “pathetic” don’t watch the video and move on.
He might have not been "neglected"... he could also have gotten lost somehow. I know of cats who have gotten lost while with cat sitters and their human family was out of town on vacation. The cats escaped probably in search of their human family and lost their way. It happens and it is devastating.
This is the kind of compassion I'd hope an advanced lifeform from another planet treats us with. Imagine a person, sick and homeless, gets picked up by an alien, treated for the illness, cleaned up, given clean and comfy clothes, and adopted by a loving family of aliens. Sure, it might be slightly degrading to be seen as a silly pet, but it's a small price to pay for a happy and healthy life.
We are the aliens on this earth. We sinned, and it means death. God became man. *Jesus died in our place as a gift* and He invites us to eternal life. >> will you accept?

i lost my brother and sister in the woods. they came back after walking through knee high water we have found snake skin in before to grab a kitten. her name is sandy and she has not tried to bite or scratch us ever. she ran away and came back with an infected tail cancer but shes ok now
I found a black and white kitten in the woods as well. 6 weeks old at best. I didn't have to catch him, because he was calling out to us (me & my friend were walking her dog.) His fur was full of insect eggs and one of his eyes couldn't open. I don't think he was out there more than a week, considering he was still alive. Probably abandoned by someone with an unneutered cat. Well, he's got a home with me now.
OMG. One day my dog was barking at something in my yard. I found a frail, but friendly cat. URI. She was almost dead. Can't smell, so would not eat. I got her to a vet. I quarantined her for two weeks. She was as good as new. She decided to stay with us. She, and I had such a bond. I had her 12 years. She died of kidney issues, about three years. I have never missed a cat more. I love the cats I have now, but she and I were tight. Thanks so much for your hard work. I understand why you do it. I'm grateful. Julius looks wonderful! After Ezri passed, I found Tucker. A Maine Coon. He was seven, and his owner had a stroke. I took him in. Middle aged cats can be hard to place. I also have Mysty. She's been with me 9 years. She was thrown out as an older kitten in December. I took her in. I can only house, and handle two. My parents used to foster all animals from dogs to horses. I've seen some shit. Awful, awful shit. I've never desensitized to it, and it makes me not the right person to do the Hands-On stuff like that.
Sometimes you get such a special connection to 1 particular cat. I had that with my Scamp, rescued at the age of about 4 weeks from a very busy road. He had health problems most of his life. 'Flu as a kitten, diagnosed with HCM at 2 years old & stage 4 kidney failure in 2016, aged only 12. I nursed him for 3 years, giving subQ fluid & lots of medication every 6 hours. He was my soul mate. When we first met he was in a long room with about a dozen people looking at him. He saw my wife & I walk in & skittered down the entire length of the room, ignoring everybody else. He ran past my wife, & tried to jump into my arms. He wouldn't let go. He'd chosen his mum. We filled out the adoption paperwork with him still in my arms & he howled when we left. He wasn't allowed to come with us straight away because he was still ill with 'flu. Every time we visited he cried when we left. Once he finally came home, he was my shadow, for 15 years. I miss him so much. I doubt there's another cat out there with whom I'll bond so closely. I've lived with some wonderful cats, but Scamp was special & I'll love him until I die. Edited to add: when I say he was my shadow, he went everywhere with me in the house or garden. Like most cats, he hated touching water, but every time I had a bath, he'd either curl up on the side of the bath & tolerate the odd splash or actually curl up on me if I laid down, provided the water didn't cover where he laid.
@@shedevil50337 I totally understand that type of bond. I got my soulmate in '79 and from the start our friendship and bonding started to grow. She passed away at age 21 1/2 yrs most from old age problems on April 7th, 2001. She knew I adored her and got away with almost anything. She was the most perfect cat I could ever imagine. I've a few cats now and I love them but she will always be my special girl.
My special bond was with my Princess. Princess only laid next to me and she always slept with me. Every night. U had her for about two years. I’m certain she was either hunted by coyotes in the woods, because she could not run straight ( she easily fell and was very wobbly ), or someone in the neighborhood in the woods behind our house found her. But We searched the neighborhood with a picture or her. I was so heartbroken. I was only 6. My poor baby. Her brother, Charming, was still with us, though he had the same wobbly run and the same pattern as princess, he was always outside and snuggled more with my parents than me. He was also lost about a year later. My friend’s grandma had some kittens living in her barn. I went to go see them with my parents, with the hopes of adopting one. We ended up getting Rascal and Tiger Lily. Rascal was also lost about a year later. Rascal was the sweetest cat I’ve EVER owned. He snuggled endlessly and rubbed everyone for a friendly greeting. Tiger acted just like Princess did, snuggled often and slept next to me in bed. I still have Tiger, and pictures of Princess are hanging in my room. But the hardest part was, last year we moved houses and I felt like I was leaving all of my babies behind. I remember Rascal. I would never forget his friendly mood and beautiful blue eyes and gray tabby pelt. This is really hard to write about. He was so young, only about a year old. I can’t write about this anymore, sorry
@@sammsu4668 I know u very young when you had these kitties but WHY didn't your parents keep the cats always indoors. Esp after losing one they still let the others roam around. Pls everyone keep ur cats inside ALWAYS!
@Chai'naMarie03 Oh also, it’s in the cats nature to be outside. I understand that you live in a city so that’s VERY dangerous for kitties. Cats have bodies that are made for outdoors, even if my 7-year old self wouldn’t say that. We lived on a farm, and that’s where the kitties needed to be. Princess and Charming had disabilities, and Rascal was just too friendly.

i know from my own cats, they are capable of empathy. that's why the other cats let the sick stranger eat first. just another reason to love cats!

@sara Allison get a life virgin

I think you're right. The long, soft fur, wide-set eyes, broad nose, and his demeanor are very ragdoll-esque.
I've had one line of cats that are siamese ragdoll mixed and they are my favorite looking cat to this day.
I love my rag doll cat

I must be a psycho. I don't cry over these things.
Julious was likely somebody's neglected house cat, hence why he was meowing and not hissing at all, and allowed you to pet him while in the kennel.
I wouldn't mind, as long as someone cared about me. I would trade places with my pet anytime.

@Chai'naMarie03
Oh also, it’s in the cats nature to be outside. I understand that you live in a city so that’s VERY dangerous for kitties. Cats have bodies that are made for outdoors, even if my 7-year old self wouldn’t say that. We lived on a farm, and that’s where the kitties needed to be. so this project gets the profit from only donation!? man i suggest you should use ads in your videos because i really wants to support you by watching ads in your video
Why not watch their videos AND make a donation?
@@dewaudi0 Im sure if he could he would donate, i can't donate but i also want to support so yeah
@@dewaudi0 Some people dont have money to give away.
i think he doesn’t have ads because he doesn’t really cat how much he makes in one video and i think that’s fine. i guess it’s understandable to not have ads in these types of videos.
@@mrcrabs1282 People wanted ads so they go towards helping the cats, they already get support from donations and people want to help even if they can't donate so i support the idea of throwing in the ads. I don't think people would mind it since it would help these poor cuties.
Seeing him just sitting there alone at the start.
My heart was just screaming.
“Help him 😭”
WHEN HE WAS LOOKIN OUT THE WINDOW I KNEW I LOVED HIM
I love cute wholesome videos like this. My grandparents spent their time rescuing cats that people threw on the roads because it made them sad. Even after my grandmas passing my grandpa still adopts stray kitties who pass by his house because he keeps food and water our for them
Poor baby doesn't know how lucky he is that you guys trapped him
He didn't seem too upset at being trapped or brought indoors. I think he knew he was going to get needed help. Cats aren't stupid. :-)
gods ? Why how many gods are they there in your darkness ?
I only knoe of ONE SINGLE GOD MOST HIGH...no sons..no doughters and no partners .
it thinks it matters^
adorable
@@itsMalma lol!
My Name no sons? I know not your god.
although starving, sick and no doubt in pain, he was incredibly sweet and loving; and definitely was begging for help. So glad you saved him and he has a home. He’s a wonderful cat. So sweet. A exceptionally precious angel cat. Even when being bathed, brushed and given needles. He deserved a second chance 💯. And I have no doubt he appreciated every bit of it and is incredibly grateful which is why he gives so much love ❤️
im crying so much i can only breath through one nostril
slU mp felt that.
Lol, please stop crying so you do not clog your other nostril. The world needs caring ppl like you for as long as we all here. If everybody felt that way there most likely would not be animals in dire straits on the streets. Wishing you good health and clear nostrils. Lol. I could not resist saying that.
This is a mood.
I can't foster. I fall in love and can't let them go. God Bless you for your efforts.
Think about what you are doing for the cat. It is never about you. I found homes for many cats I would have loved to keep.
@@DocZoidberg549 - I ended up with 13 one time. We are down to 3 house and 2+ ferals. Love them all equally.
Sounds selfish.
Take care, and help all animals in needs, God see us
0:50 you've just proven that cats have a society, the first signs of civilization is the ability to care for someone whos sick or hurt instead of naturing it out

They didn't kick the cat out because they didn't want to become sick.
