I get by with a little help from my friends I get high with a little help from my friends. Gonna to try with a little help from my friends. Do you need anybody??
Thank you for your patience with Grey, and more so for the brainwave to find him a kitty friend. They look great. Best wishes for a loving home for the bonded cats.
I have a bonded pair of feral brothers.... came to me wild as racoons to foster.... I failed, ten years later I'm looking at them now as I type, they are tame but fat as racoons.... one is grey/ white like this guy, the other is blue
Amazing story and an amazing transformation! All Grey needed was kindness, patience and love, first from his foster Mom and then from Philly. Grey and Philly MUST be adopted together! 😇😇😇🐈🐈⬛🐾🤪💗🏠
What a great pair of cats, and of course they shouldn't be separated. I adopted an older pair of cats like that too. They were too bonded to separate, so they were adopted out together. Squeaky and Dez were so cute together. The slept together constantly and also groomed each other. Dez was a chunky calico, and Squeaky a slim and very anxious long hair black cat. Squeaky just worshiped the ground that Dez walked on, but was nervous around people. It was hilarious to see the way they acted. Nothing phased Dez, she was so sedate, and then their was Squeaky's adorable neuroticism. Sqeaky would squawk for attention, but when you reached for her, she'd cower in fear or run half the time. It used to make Ron laugh so hard. She would come and lay on us on her own terms. i guess we were safer if we were laying down or something. I can't describe the hero worship she had for Dez though. She just looked at Dez w/ utter adoration and Dez was her ultimate happy place.
Wow you stuck with him and that makes a whole lot of difference many people wouldn’t I’m so proud that you did and the other little kitty got a soul mate, believe me you did a great job 👏
I worked with a cat like that for 18 months. He had been surrendered because his elderly owner had to go into assisted living. He was so traumatized by the whole surrender. He was so aggressive he bit a volunteer who needed stitches. No one could even remove food from his cage or change his litter box. I sat outside his cage for months on end, not looking at him and just talking out loud. It was such slow progress, but eventually he came out of the cage, although he ran back in as soon as I looked at him. It got to the point, finally, where he jumped on my lap and allowed me to pet him. Eventually, he was adopted into a really good home.
I’m so happy to see someone as kind and patient as you with an obviously frightened little creature. Some people are just insistent that the cat has to immediately warm up to them. And if they are frightened and hiss and puff up their fur, they think the cat is aggressive and a mean cat. They don’t think that ALL living creatures need a little time to feel comfortable with their new surroundings. Like people, we all come to every “relationship” with a history. Good and bad. Cats, Dogs, Horses etc! We all need “someone” we can bond with. And you were so wonderful using the stick to gently touch Grey and talk tenderly with him. Letting him find his own way. And discovering his new friend was such a blessing for both of them. It’s just beautiful. Just absolutely beautiful 😻
Brilliant! Thanks for not giving up...unbelievable difference. Its so hard to see an animal distrust humans so much...they just want love like the rest of us!! 😊
I’ve had 4 feral cats. With a little time and patience they all have become sweet, gentle fur babies. One lived to 17 and the other to 19. The other two are currently 3 years old. 😻
Oh, I loved this so much! I've had a couple of fosters like Grey...and it was definitely a slow, steady process to gain trust. Incidentally, _both_ of those challenging fosters *also* ended up flourishing when they met what turned out to be their "kitty soul mates"...and it was among my top most wonderful things to watch. Of course, when it came time to find their (always fervently hoped-for) forever homes, they were adopted out as bonded pairs. _ps: May light and joy be with you and yours always. Thank you for what you do. Fostering is hard, but also incredibly fulfilling._ 💖
I am so grateful that there on people on this planet with the patience of a saint with rescue animals, and yes unfortunately with people. 😊😻😻😻 What a wonderful vid. TY TY
Animals are like babies. Babies can’t speak just like animals can’t. Yet, you don’t see parents throwing babies out in the street when they’re hurt, sick or having a bad day. Fur kids deserve patience and care too. 🥺🥲
Brilliantly well done, on all fronts. Yes, it is true, "some cats will be saved, and some not", because there are lots of feral cats out there and resources are limited, and we have to be practical about what can be done and what, reasonably speaking, cannot. You persevered and were inspired to introduce Philly Pokey (great name, btw), and you also understand that both Grey and Philly Pokey will be adopted as a pair, which makes complete sense. I'm humbled by your experience, your compassion, and your level-headed assessments of what can be reasonably be done in cases like these. Keep up the great work!
It took me 2 months once to get through to an abandoned cat who felt so unsure and betrayed by people. I did it by feeding them and then leaving them alone, no pressure, but I spent as much time as possible out in the yard so they could observe me and it helped a lot. The kitty “came with” a house I rented. She stayed in yard, front and back but mainly in the back, fenced yard. After she accepted me I got her into a good cat rescue. ❤
3:35 this was a really good learning experience for the rescuer. Just about all domesticated animals are social, it often helps them to interact with others of their own species.
Philly Pokey was winking at the camera, was like "thanks for the friend, I love you guys." Seeing them both smiling and doing that head tilt was so nice.
Wonderful story. Yes, even the most wild cat can become a nice pet. I have adopted many stray cats and once they are spayed or neutered, and given love they will become wonderful pets.
Such a heartwarming story ❤ All of my cats have been former colony cats who accepted other felines before humans. My resident cats play a big role in socializing newcomers. It's a lot of work initially, but pays off in the long run.
OMG there's another cat here - freeze frame at 115 - perfect timing with the audio narration. Feral cat turns and literally says, OMG, there's another cat here! I do read lips, EPIC
I lived in Kuwait for almost two years... Never saw a place with so many stray cats! Normally they are very friendly... I rescued two cats in that time. One went to my home in Portugal and the other went to a friend's home in India. You did a great action! Normally they won't survive more than 4-5 years in the streets. Its a very hard environment where temperatures can rise to 55°C in summer.
This was my experience. Dolly was feral. Muffin was a house cat. I didn’t try to pet Dolly but she saw Muffin getting petted and soon I found her sleeping at my feet. She lived twenty years more and she was the most gentle cat I ever knew (unless you were a mouse, of course)
We have a grumpy cat that hissed and growled at everything... except her kitten brother. We had to keep them together, but he died of a kidney disease... its taken her a while to warm up to the new addition we adopted from the shelter, but its definitely not the same bouncing off the walls playing at all hours of the day relationship anymore.
Bop told Grey that Jen was one of them and she could be trusted and Grey was flabbergasted. And then Bop told Grey that he should make friends with Philly Pokey because they seemed perfect for each other. So that's what Grey did after Jen introduced him to Philly Pokey. And now Grey snuggles with Philly Pokey and Jen, too, because now Grey knows that Jen's OK after all.
I have an affinity to cats, and they seem to be attracted to me because of it. Cats are a big part of my life, as I never married, and do not have children. So My cats are my babies. I love them a lot, and they love me a lot too. McCartney is a grey tabby that came to me as a stray. He met me twice before he followed me home. When he found where I lived at the time, he begged to be taken in. As he was such a little gentleman, treating my 14 year old Cookie Baby like a lady. Cookie Baby is a Brennel Calico and is fiercely loyal to me. She is my best friend even. And when McCartney treated her like a lady, I was totally amazed. He still does so to this day. For a 14 year old cat, she is still pretty spry, liking it when I play with her. I have one more cat that is not yet a year old, a tuxedo that is mostly white, with small patches of black on her head and her legs only. Her name is Patience, because the patch on her head looks like the cowl worn by Halle Berry in Catwoman. She was a bit rough when playing, but now she has calmed down a good bit. She has become addicted to being cuddled. I have no problem with that.
Yeah, that was a tough rescue. I think the winning ingredient was that the Angry One, the Tabby, was a boy. Tom Cats look for buddies. If it were a female, well, the girls can be intrinsically a lot more territorial. I once had a Rescue blow up in my face. I was trying to bring in a female feral from the parking lot, a year after I had some success bringing in Calico Peggy who had been the previous Parking Lot Cat, probably the mother of Angie who I tried to rescue. I gave Angie her own room, but she would find or make some cat cave, being territorial against me. After a month Angie began coming out more and so I took down the barrier and she had run of the whole apartment. Calico Peggy wanted nothing to do with it, and so one time I opened the door and Peggy took off. I had loved Calico Peggy, and so I threw Angie out with the hopes that Peggy would come back. So I lost them both. Yeah, Feline Rescue is difficult and sometimes you lose. It'll make me cry to tell you, but, well, the cats can lose hard too. Peggy died. She had moved down to a territory including an Apartment Complex managed by a Korean Lady, and I was once Peace Corps Korea and so I remembered some Korean, and the Lady knew some English. Peggy was in her Territory now and so she would put out food, and encourage me to take Peggy back, but Peggy would escape. Then tragedy struck... Peggy got her back broke somehow, and the Korean Lady came and told me. I took Peggy to the Vets to euthanize her, but she died in my arms while we waited. For a while I was feeding Angie outside, but I think that Angie got shut into an empty apartment by work men, and must have starved to death. Yeah, if only they had both gotten along, they'd be part of my multicat household today, but females come with problems. But I really did love those two and so it breaks my heart.
Isn't it wonderful when a cat realizes he is loved?
That can be said for any animal or human... it's easy to be mean, but we all need to be KIND
This woman has so much understanding and patience !
Right
Such dedication & compassion ❤
God bless her. The work she does with and for those darling moggies is truly wonderful. ❤
There are some things that only another cat can give a scared rescue. Good to see these two found each other.
Their perfect family is out there and whoever is lucky enough to get these boys will be very fortunate.
They look so incredibly happy together. Definitely a rescue success story.
Sometimes all you need is a friend
I get by with a little help from my friends
I get high with a little help from my friends.
Gonna to try with a little help from my friends.
Do you need anybody??
@@MamaKatt George Harrison for the win.
I hope they adopt those guys together! They are bonded now and will greatly benefit from staying together 💜
She made it clear that they will TOGETHER to the right home. ;0)
Thank you for your patience with Grey, and more so for the brainwave to find him a kitty friend. They look great. Best wishes for a loving home for the bonded cats.
Grey is absolutely beautiful!
Amazing transformation! It’s heartwarming to see how love and patience can change a life. 😻
This woman is an ANGEL.
They would be foster fails. They are so gorgeous and adorable. I couldn’t give them up.

This was such a sweet story! 🥹🤍🤍🤍
Thank you for saving two scared kitties. You're an Angel.
There isn’t an animal that can’t be saved given enough patience, resources, and understanding of what they need. Love is powerful medicine. 💕
You are a special person to be so patient and stay with this difficult cat. Your care made him open up to new possibilities.
You're a goodess, oh an ear infection is painful, love from Montreal and thank you very much! 😊
I’m glad they found this lady and each other!
What a wonderful person you are to help and prove to this poor scared cat that there is love in this world. Bless you, Diana
Thank you for taking the time and patience to help this sweet baby
Five gold stars to this lady and her resident kitty.
This made my day. Such a wonderful transformation. Bravo to this awesome kind lady who saved these gorgeous cats.
Thank You to ALL HEROS & BEAUTIFUL ANIMAL ANGELS EVERYWHERE. ❤🇱🇷🌍🌠

What a lovely story, how much we need to treat our furry companions with kindness

As long as the 2 buddies get adopted out together, everything will be alright.

He opened his heart and found love!
Wonderful ❤
How sweet.
The home cat told the newby the news; no more prowling the streets eating garbage, and a warm blanket to sleep. Then newby realized it was cool.
Lease keep them together no matter what

I hope they get adopted together!
Poor dear, that head tilt while he's hissing is classic ear pain.
I wish they would show their new home
The louder the sass, the more absorbent the Sponge!

Things like ear infection can be very painful, and that's why they're aggressive.
