I get it, it's frustrating to get a re-release this soon after it was re-released. But; Luke is a must have for me. SOTE was my entry into Star Wars gaming and toys as a kid. I think the new Leia head looks really good. I don't have an issue with this - I will just replace Leia on the shelf and throw the old one into the sell pile. Unfortunately, the "outrage" over this will probably kill the EU sub line.

That’s the problem: NO ONE IS FORCING YOU to buy it. We don’t have to buy it. But what’s even worst is the false advertisement done by Hasbro. The photoshopping of the pins on the knee joints is at least unethical, if it is not illegal. And shenanigans like this have turned me off. I’m no longer a BS collector.
Another slight tweak of a figure that needs to be redesigned from the ground up is frustrating. I am yet to get this Leia for this reason and now itll be years before that happens. Another spin on this pack is for those who dont care for nostalgia and also other media spinoff characters may buy this for the corrected Leia and not for the Luke. It’s also scummy to expect fans to buy two of a cardback, willingly or unwilling. Have the figures on card backs for the vintage line they belong with. Keep the black series in boxes you can open and/or keep. Or at least keep the option of picking a cardback or a box like they used to do. Openers will say otherwise I know but then will apply different logic to the cardbacks that they dont want to throw out. Theres a way to please all black collectors at the end of the day.
I'd definitely buy the Shadow cards in a purple hue. I know that's not saying much, as I've bought and kept carded practically every carded figure they've ever bloody made, but that purple is beautiful.
I PO’d. Correction. It’s a Disney park/Store exclusive which Pulse got to sell early. It will be pretty easy to get. Luke’s height cracks me up. He’s wearing stilts. Honestly Luke and Leia are more appealing than Lando/Luke or even Black Sun Guard/Luke. It’s for their theme park. I do want card backs. Could do it for Dash?
For me, this was an easy pre order as I have the original blue line Leia but never got the archive. Also I have a complete shadows of the empire collection on a separate shelf from the rest of my star wars collection so displaying the "new" leia with that, keeping them separate from eachother, reduces the weirdness of having 2 of the same figure. I should say I HAD a complete shadows of the empire collection until they announced Xizor lol and of course we know we're getting Dash. I wonder if they make a Chewbacca in his bounty hunter disguise and if that will be a brand new chewy sculpt or they just glue on armor pieces to the crappy og sculpt and call it a day....would be a great way to drop a brand new sculpt for our favorite walking carpet

Glad you guys mentioned the edited pinless legs on the promo images, I remember when I first looked at them thinking 'oh they're pinless, but they're still double jointed, yeah that seems strange for current Black Series'. This set is a pass for me since I'm just not into Shadows of the Empire, I can appreciate that stuff but I've never gone too deep into it to have any real connection with it. That said I don't have any prior versions of Leia in that disguise but that's also partly because I've simply never been too interested in it. Great video as always guys.
Yeah this would be my third Boushh Leia and I'd never take either helmet off so it's a wallet-saving pass from me. If they had put them both on nostalgia card backs and packed them together like they did for the Force Spirit 3-pack I would have gone for it, but standard packaging that's just going in the bin? Nah. Not for me I'm afraid, swing and a miss on that one

It's a decent enough design and would have been more interesting than this. If anything, this should have been packed with the Bounty Hunter disguise Chewie, which would just be a new head and an overlay, like the 3rd party kits I've seen are doing, so no reason Hasbro couldn't literally do that.
Boush is in my top 5 fave SW costume - I even bought a graded vintage figure of her Yes I have the previous 2 figures of her but I need to display her with both the helmet on & off(why I bought the archive) so with the new HS at some point I will get this
I want that Luke so bad. That was one of my first and favorite figures of that SOTE line when I was younger. But I don't want another Boushh Leia. I hope they flesh out the SOTE line, was the coolest way back when

I still say that Hasbro should've made the Leia in her light blue Slave outfit, but like Nate said on a Single Card from SOTE or she should've been in a 2-Pack with either Lando or Bounty Hunter Chewbacca instead. And like Justin also pointed out about the reuse of the painless legs on the new Leia in her Boussh Disguise with Imperial Guard Disguised Luke Skywalker 2-Pack. Sometime down the road I may get this 2-Pack when the price drops down some. But paying around $55.00-$60.00(with Shipping & Handling) is a bit farfetched to me.

If they had a Chewbacca disguised as Snoova I think it would be good as a companion for a SOTE release of Boushh Leia. That way you could have one in a Jabba’s palace display and a with Chewbacca for SOTE

It would be wise for everyone to buy this 2-pack and then flood hasbro with complaints about leia having pins. Hasbro will be shipping out a free figure for every 2-pack sold and maybe they will learn not to false advertise and photoshop the promo images.
On the multipack characters becoming single releases point a bunch of the Galaxy's edge figures got single releases at Target, i think Hondo was the only one who got left at Disney as far as the exclusive characters go.

Pre-ordered instantly, been collecting since the line started but always passed on this version of Leia so this will be my first one. I am happy to get the original lineup. Hope we get the Boba Fett/IG-88( IG-12 mold) 2 pack as well
Here in Australia i buy all those double packs for anywhere from 5 bucks Australian to 40 bucks for 2 figures. Thats 5 bucks 2 figures. So many stores overstock figures nobody wants. I never pay full price anymore. I always end up getting any figure for half price and less. The reason i changed my buying habits was Hasbro was treating customers like morons. And the staff at the retailers didn't help either. My wallet wins everytime now because i stopped rewarding Hasbros bad customer service.
For me the Commander Cody chest price on Luke is so distracting. I know that it is close to the art but the Clone armor is so iconic to me it is basically all I see when I look at the figure. I think this one is a pass for me unfortunately.
The photoshopping is especially scummy because Hasbro sometimes use it to _promote_ their figures, so they know it's a feature a lot of people want. I'll accept hiding ugly articulation with lighting and camera angles, because that can be considered kind of artistic, but not photoshopping parts of the figure out.
“Already fighting an uphill better” You guys hit the nail on EU figures in the line. Imperial Luke is quite nice, which makes this 2-pack all the more frustrating. At least the Leia is a slightly improved headsculpt.
I completely understand the frustration with this release. I have no plans to display the Leia here, just wanting the Luke. However, I do see Hasbro’s logic of putting Leia in this set, as she was originally on the 3.75” SotE cardback. That being said, I still think it was not the best move on their part. I was hoping they were remaking that Comic Pack Leia but maybe they couldn't. I just bought Archive Edition New Hope and Boushh and immediately there's two new versions of them. 😖I have stopped buying most Star Wars figures because so much is going on sale. I got a whole bunch of Black Series for about 60% off, and I would have waited if I knew they were gonna end up even cheaper! Lando would have been a much better figure for this two-pack.

Having to buy Leia again is a kick in the Teeth. Also they do have the outline for Retro cards since they did but out Greedo, Han, Luke and Leia on 90s Power of the Force cards. They would just have adjust the card art which is a simple fix in photoshop or what program they used.

Yeah, nostalgia cardbacks seems like a missed opportunity. Personally, I really like the new headscupt for Leia, looks more realistic. The TVC gift of the galaxy release this week was a grand slam home run.

When Dagan was released in a single pack and then they released him again in a double, I hope they do that with this one but release Luke as a single, that way fans aren't forced to buy Leia again.
I was so disappointed with the newer Bouush (except for the head/face). The hands dont hold anything and those legs are awful, she is purely ornamental.
I bawt this set. My archive Leia can be the bounty hunter Boushh and just put him into a bounty hunter display or cantina display, or making a bounty transaction with some imps. Perhaps a guard Lando with a new disquise chewie 2-pack? We will see ✌🏼
Why use Boush Leia? Why not the Chewbacca from Shadows of the Empire or like you guys said, Lando in the same armor as Luke from Shadows of the Empire.
I POed it...i gave in to Hasbros' evil ways! I just want that Luke, and im ok making sure he is secured even though i am not a fan of this 2 pack, and the pinless shenanigans are some shady shit for sure. This will give us 3 Shadows figures in the line relatively quick...it makes me think our chances of us getting the rest of the main KOTOR crew and SCAR squadron or pretty much a ZERO at this point....Poor Zalbar will never get his best buddy Mission 😪. I hate that Luke head sculpt personally. It makes him look like he has the "Innsmouth look". The Leia head and helmet change doesn't really achieve anything worth reinvesting in, since I also have three already.
Could they do SOTE cardbacks in 2026 since that would be the 30th anniversary (after they release them all in Galaxy packaging 1st of course😅)? Also Leia has a couple different unique looks from the comic they could've subbed in- I know there was a blue outfit with a headband from when she was with Xizor
Not to be too positive about this, I still think Luke should have been single packed or a 2 pack with another guard, but the new Leia does give the opportunity to have a better unmasked Boushh Leia to go next to Han in Carbonite.
I'm not a fan of the two packs at all. I've skipped all but two; the recent Yoda w/Gree and the Shriek Hawk Mandos. I have been collecting the single pack Black Series since the beginning and that's what I want to keep getting. When they release Luke in his guard outfit in a single pack box, I'll get him.

For me the Commander Cody chest price on Luke is so distracting. I know that it is close to the art but the Clone armor is so iconic to me it is basically all I see when I look at the figure. I think this one is a pass for me unfortunately.

The photoshopping is especially scummy because Hasbro sometimes use it to _promote_ their figures, so they know it's a feature a lot of people want. I'll accept hiding ugly articulation with lighting and camera angles, because that can be considered kind of artistic, but not photoshopping parts of the figure out.

I completely understand the frustration with this release. I have no plans to display the Leia here, just wanting the Luke. However, I do see Hasbro’s logic of putting Leia in this set, as she was originally on the 3.75” SotE cardback. That being said, I still think it was not the best move on their part. I was hoping they were remaking that Comic Pack Leia but maybe they couldn't. I just bought Archive Edition New Hope and Boushh and immediately there's two new versions of them. 😖I have stopped buying most Star Wars figures because so much is going on sale. I got a whole bunch of Black Series for about 60% off, and I would have waited if I knew they were gonna end up even cheaper! Lando would have been a much better figure for this two-pack.

Clearly the move from Hasbro now is to do another two pack with Lando in Imperial Guard disguise and Chewbacca in his bounty hunter disguise.

Having to buy Leia again is a kick in the Teeth. Also they do have the outline for Retro cards since they did but out Greedo, Han, Luke and Leia on 90s Power of the Force cards. They would just have adjust the card art which is a simple fix in photoshop or what program they used.
Been listening to the audiobook of Shadows and really enjoying it. Still hadn't pre-ordered Prince X and probably would have if Hasbro hadn't pulled this stunt. What gets me are the shills running BSseries Facebook pages making excuses for Hasbro 🤦💆

I ordered. I only have one Boushh, but I collect every Luke. Apparently the images have pinless Boushh, but in reality it’s a repacked pinned leg figure? EDIT: (I commented before finishing the video)
Thankfully, I only bought the Archive Boushh, which is in my Jabba's palace display. I probably would've bought Leia again to go in a new Shadows of the Empire display, but I can display her now with the helmet off. I was a bit annoyed initially, but I'm not too bothered.

I was worried the legs would be the old ones when I saw the thumbnail. I haven't bought a Boussh Leia yet, so I'll probably end up getting this 2 pack in the future.
I hate that Luke head sculpt personally. It makes him look like he has the "Innsmouth look". The Leia head and helmet change doesn't really achieve anything worth reinvesting in, since I also have three already.
The best Luke likeness in my opinion was the D4 deluxe training set with Yoda! -Justin

With how baffling this set is you could tell me hasbro is trying to not make legends figures and I’d believe you. I wouldn’t mind is this was a complete new Leia since I still don’t think the archive Leia was much of an improvement over the original. I guess at least this head looks a bit better.
