This song is so underrated. Thanks for the reaction.
Heard this one a few years ago. Still one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard. Never fails to raise the hair on my arms. His delivery is flawless.
I've been hoping you would react to this song. As a veteran, I've seen things I never thought I'd be able to get past. Music has been a big help with coming to grips with things. The White Buffalo has one of the best catalogue's of music you'll find. It's mainly dark and haunting, but cathartic in a weird way.
Thank you for your service. Glad your doing okay. Glad you have found a way to handle it all.
from one vet to another thank you for your service
House of Pain White Buffalo
Powerful Song
I have my son to thank for introducing me to this fantastic artist thanks for this my friend 👍
Sad part is that there are Veterans that battle these demons daily.... as a thought 💭, check out Five Finger Death Punch’s song about the Veterans, sorry I cannot remember the name of it.... I’m a 14yr Army Vet.. Thank you Mike for your Channels/Reactions 🤘🏼😢🙏🏼😎
Can’t believe you only have 588 views at this point. This song and your reaction is so much better.
Every time I hear this song, THIS is what I see: ua-cam.com/video/4qwkiYKB2Nw/v-deo.html The music was perfect for this scene. You should also listen to The White Buffalo's version of House of the Rising Sun which was the music for the Season 4 finale.
That was heavy. Great job Drama. Dig the way you just cut right into it.
Been waiting this..thank you Mike
Dude, combat PTSD is a bitch. It's, forgive me, not like other kinds of PTSD. I'm not belittling others who have it, but combat PTSD is very nearly a habit, like alcoholism or gambling addiction. It stems not only from experiences inflicted on you, but also by circumstances you inflicted on others.
One time, years ago, I was working in a truck yard, not long after my last deployment, and I had been catching static from this one dude all day. It was hot, over a hundred degrees, the whole yard was made hotter by baking asphalt & vehicle exhaust, I have people yelling over my radio in Spanish, English, Japanese & Urdu, and the guy kept giving me shit repeatedly, and finally, as I was arguing with him for the last time, someone in my head said, "just KILL this motherfucker and let's Charlie Mike."
I was already reaching for my knife before I realized wtf was happening.
I started walk/running to get inside when dude. Fucking. Grabbed. Me. To keep arguing.
I don't know what was on my face when I looked at him but he jumped back like I tried for him, though I hadn't, thankfully.
Went inside, washed my face, had a spaz out in the toilet, washed my face again, and made someone else deal with that guy.
Quit a week later.
Thank you for sharing. Thank you serving. Honestly, very thankful that you were able to walk away from that situation without harm.
First word that comes to mind for me is anguish
Sounds like a 60s protest song. His voice reminds me of Richie Havens, same passion. Never heard the song or the artist. Great stuff
This guy has some talent, a lot of his songs are also on Son's of Anarchy
Nice
It reminds me of "Still in Saigon" by Charlie Daniels - Americans that can not erase the memories of Vietnam from their minds and cannot escape the prison of their mind. No place to run to escape that war! Called a killer, I'm someone else, I'm sick and there is no cure. Who am I? I only knew in Saigon. Time has gone by yet the sounds of war will be forever in my head. Mingled with the wounded's cries and the silence of the dead. I am still in Saigon!
Been hoping for this think i asked a long time ago lol but I'm so happy
If you can’t feel the pain in this man’s voice or in those lyrics then there is something wrong with you. Excellent comments D.
Society needs it’s class of citizens that are our warrior class to fight our wars. They are conditioned as part of the training and experience to a desensitized existence. This story is about the battle between our better angels that takes place inside each of us but particularly within our warriors after the wars. I think the whistling follows the phrygian scale which is common to that Spanish or western sound.
Another great reaction man...You should definitely check out White Buffalo- Wish It Was True live version👍👍
Oh there is SO much good music from White Buffalo...so glad you got introduced to his talent!!! One of my favs is " Avalon"
Have you been peeking at my playlist? First Chicago then Jake (White Buffalo) Smith, then Robin Trower to follow!!! Nice man, great choices!
If you were digging on this song from The White Buffalo, you need to listen to Wish it Was True, by him.
Love this song!
This one is one of my favorites. You should try "hard times" by tyler childers live at red barn
Great reaction . Sorry I’m so late .
the demons never go away but in time you can control them for the most part but some never get them under control for those we pray
