Stand up doesn't have to be jokes every single second. This is like crowd work, Matt's being a little more personable with the audience by just talking to them with the intention to talk, like they're friends

@@camerondean5087 It helps when you can differentiate between basic statements and a joke... "Worst place not to exist" can be considered semi-smart wordplay. Not a joke. "I hate social media, but you're here because of it. Ironic." Not a joke, just a statement people laugh at because it's a counterintuitive truth. "No friends, no life, no profile picture." again, just another "haha, so true" laugh. Not a joke. This is Facebook humour at best.

There are a lot of negative people on social media, people not just in your country, it all over the world speaking negatively toward you, imagine feeding your brain from those negative words.
The mistake you make is to think that they do it bc their lives is miserable.. people do it when they are happy too.. it has all to do with power and nothing to do with misery. All you doing is blaming a group of people bc they are miserable..
"I cannot fathom a reality where people can talk to you as disrespectful as they want without facing any physical consequences." Woah, slow down there, Hitler. Does Matt actually think about what he is saying before he goes onstage? I used to work as a cashier at a grocery store. If I sucker-punched every customer that was disrespectful to my face, the local hospital would be quickly filled to max-capacity. It works much better to just say, "I hope the rest of your day gets better." This works amazingly and here is why - People who are in a bad mood and are disrespectful absolutely HATE when you can remain calm and pleasant despite their attitude, especially when you slyly tell them that you "Hope their day improves". Try it some time. Some people will absolutely lose their marbles and go off on you and it is hilarious. 😂 alright, rant over
Hes kinda right tho. Now disagreeing with someone strongly is being called hate speech and in the future will probably be illegal. Our right to voice our own opinion going out the window.
@@camerondean5087 If that’s your only take away from the comment I think you’re focused on the wrong thing. Mm. Yeah. Okay dude. Are you stupid or something? First of all, he's a comedian so it isn't even supposed to be taken that seriously to begin with. But I agree with him. People wouldn't say half the shit they want to if they felt like physical violence would be a consequence of it. And that's a LARGE majority of losers online. When you work at your grocery store, you and other people are expected to have a level of social etiquette that usually, automatically negates violence. So the fact that you think he's crazy for saying it's frustrating that people can be so cruel and disgusting without a single consequence is a little weird

The punchline: "He's a comedian"
I've seen three shorts from this guy and the 'punchline' in two of them was 'I wish I could be violent with people.'
Okay, but where is the joke? This is not meant to be a bad try at insulting that guy. I am genuinely asking. Isn't he just venting? lol
Yes he is, I can’t blame him. I wanna vent about how this place sucks too.
