that's how he is in any interviews, and you're right, it is pretty refreshing! Like he'll obviously make a joke when given the chance, but he is very genuine and definitely wants to get heartfelt messages out as well.

He is on various Podcast being interviewed. He is hilarious and kind. I love a comedian who does crowd work. It makes it so good because it isn't planned. He has to be quick on his feet. Now I see he does have pre-planned jokes too. I guess it is harder doing crowd work on a big special. He has become one of my favorite comedians from watching his UA-cam videos.

"Paid his dues?" Sure, just goes to show, even if you have to stick with it all the way to the ripe old age of 28, you can still make it. Look, we agree he earned it, he worked hard, he's funny, there's demand for his supply, but to say someone this young "paid his dues" is simply a misapplication of that phrase. Not trying to gatekeep, he deserves it, but he's a young success story. Rodney Dangerfield paid his dues.

I am beyond thrilled for Matt. I saw his first TikTok viral video and have been a huge fan ever since. I kept telling my husband “this kid is going places and he’s gonna blow up!” He’s such a genuine good guy. I wish him the very best!

YES!! I loved that! And in that time, he said some pretty inspiring things. He is naturally hilarious with razor-sharp wit. He is also such a down to earth "old soul." I loved the special He did in tribute to his Gramps, that he's named after, ("Matthew Steven Rife"). I watched because let's face it, he's beautiful. I kept watching because of his whole approach to life, he's easy to listen to and get on board with, and in those moments of deep sincerity, this kid's an inspiring person who came from very humble beginnings. So awesome to see this just explode for him. I'm a fan for life.
