Out of all the videos you have posted thus far, this was my favorite. Thanks Will and i am assuming Joey for going out to the ATK. This was an amazing watch!
Hahaha, when you peeked out and waived at the camera then ducked back in as they were panning the kitchen, it instantly reminded me of where's Waldo!! Hahaha Man I chuckled.
Wow, I was shocked to see this on Tested. When I saw the thumbnail, my first reaction was "Hey, that guy in the America's Test Kitchen video looks a lot like Will." :) Thanks so much for this, I've always wondered what the rest of their facility looks like. I only wish you'd shown the outside of the building; in their shows they make it look like the place is in this beautiful pastoral setting. Is it?
"in their shows they make it look like the place is in this beautiful pastoral setting. Is it?" The "Cook's Country" series is in a beautiful pastoral setting, but America's Test Kitchen is in the 'burbs. They shoot the smoking and grilling tests out back in an alley. Definitely not "pastoral." ;-)
I love ATK, have several of the ATK season cookbooks, and always go with ATK/CI equipment recommendations. I love the recipes, and wish I could afford a membership. Thanks for sharing where one of my favorite shows is created at.
chris kimball built an empire. i don't know how they can do it all--the books, the tv shows, the magazines, the radio show, all of the testing and recipes, etc.
Yes, He deserves recognition for all his hard work, but 6-10 year round depending on the season. That's a lot for a small company. Any number of unpaid interns is too many in my book though.
Which one tasted those foods and passed the laboratory survey safety tested before? I though survey safeguard more important than processing. Does it running in the Google office?
Cook's Illustrated (Americas Test Kitchen Laboratory), Company's Coming and Atco BLue Flame Kitchen are the best of the best for learning new recipes and cooking systems.
As someone not from Australia, what is America's Test Kitchen? From the video i gather it covers lower skill recipes that work well throughout the country? Sounds cool.
***** It's a cooking show that reconstructs popular recipes in efforts to make them more successful to the average home cook. The show includes food taste tests, kitchen equipment reviews and the science behind certain cooking techniques related to the dish being featured. Most instructive show you can watch on cooking
Jesus Garcia Roasted black fur-dog, still hungry....maybe you should stop by for dinner? :) Don't worry I bite. If you can't make it, I'll just tide myself over for a bit by consuming your avatar...
Check out the show which had been on PBS In the USA... THE Show was excellent when Mr. Kimbell was the Host... He was always very professional and respectful of the other Cooks and Chefs he introduced. My Ex Girlfriend and I watched the show starting from about 1999 or 2000 it's a very in formative and logical/practical format❗👍
The Test Kitchen is now lacking the Intellectual insight and the Disciplined Truthfulness of the Developer Creator and the Person that Built possibly the finest Cooking show in the US... Mr. Kimbell Not the same or anywhere close without Him❗
One thing they still don't do well is their youtube channel, I forget I'm subbed most of the time and there's next to no content in the short short videos anyway.
I'll be honest - this is the first time I've seen Chris as a likable guy. So happy he's gone from the program, but he seems like a more reasonable version of himself off-air.
Love this channel! :D Do you ever get the feeling people are annoyed that they have to show you around? Sometimes I get that feeling when I look at the person showing y'all around.
This must have been Kimball’s last year. I can tell because there was a black person in the kitchen. It wasn’t until he left ATK (Season 17) that any African American (Elle Simon) appeared on screen. On Milk Street there are no black people on with Kimball.
I wanted to watch this but the camera is so unsteady, it was making me nauseous. Image stabilization features I thought were a basic feature. wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The show was so much better with the founder and the true brains behind the show Christopher Kimball... Put the usurpers take over like he never existed
They spend $485,000 on food ayear .._iworked at yahoo and we spent 34 million dollars a year between 5 kitchens and a handfull of snack rooms...Huge waste
Is it just me or has the kitchen gotten uglier over the years... they used to have this beautiful studio quality warm color, wood kitchen..... now its all grey and white.... where did the old kitchen go?
I never make anything but America's Test Kitchen is always a must Weekend watch. I'm so happy to see them featured.
THANK YOU for this amazing behind-the-scenes peek! I love ATK, and love it ALL THE MORE now. No other cooking show compares!
Food and science is simply amazing.
I'm a big fan of ATK and Alton Brown. I like their approaches to food science.
Love love love ATK! Kimball and team are fantastic and I love the many formats they do, especially the radio show
I grew up watching this show and I still try to watch as often as I can
Out of all the videos you have posted thus far, this was my favorite. Thanks Will and i am assuming Joey for going out to the ATK. This was an amazing watch!
I am seriously geeking out here. 1:47 holy crap it's Bridget Lancaster!
Zelmel I'm right there with you
I prefer Becky. I think she's smoking hot.
Zelmel
I saw Dan in the beginning.
Iv been watching this program on PBS for over 10+ yrs. The recipes are absolutly the best. Love the show ❤️
One of the best cooking shows around. They care about food and not drama.
Love and worship America's Test Kitchen
I love America's Test Kitchen. Thank you for covering!
Hahaha, when you peeked out and waived at the camera then ducked back in as they were panning the kitchen, it instantly reminded me of where's Waldo!! Hahaha Man I chuckled.
Love the stairs and the editorial table!

Cornelius Sneed It's in the Boston suburbs. Was covered with snow when we were there.
"in their shows they make it look like the place is in this beautiful pastoral setting. Is it?"

Wha! Great surprise, two of my favorite things merging! Thanks for this!
I loved watching these guys as a kid
Loved to see this behind the scenes tour!
That must be a cool job. You get to cook all day, get free food, and you don't even have to deal with keeping customers happy.
I don't like to cook but I get hooked on this show every weekend.
Stellar tour ! Huge fan of everyone on the show ... Bridget and Lisa McManus are my fave.
I love ATK, have several of the ATK season cookbooks, and always go with ATK/CI equipment recommendations. I love the recipes, and wish I could afford a membership. Thanks for sharing where one of my favorite shows is created at.
Now I have a lot more respect for Test Kitchen. And I will probably will watch it more.
You always come up with cool segments. A interresting look.
Good music in the background, Fleetwood Mac rules :D
I don't think the show will be the same in 2017 without Chris and I think he will be missed.
Holy crap, what a Surprise!
Hitting the like button before the vid starts!
Awesome! I recommend the trip to Vermont. My friend wants to have her wedding there.
chris kimball built an empire. i don't know how they can do it all--the books, the tv shows, the magazines, the radio show, all of the testing and recipes, etc.
lots of unpaid interns
Andrew lol. is that true?
Yes, He deserves recognition for all his hard work, but 6-10 year round depending on the season. That's a lot for a small company. Any number of unpaid interns is too many in my book though.
some people would probably pay to be interns.
Andrew A
With Fleetwood Mac don't stop song in the background. LOL
I'm with Will. I love that show! 👍
I'm in the UK and I love test kitchen
Too bad he is gone now!
@@bl6973 ummm duh! Everyone knows that.....
Wonderful
Talk about a food bill! wow
A pleasant surprise to see ATK here!
This is amazing.
@4:58 He said "Butchers Handbook" ... Anyone know what publication he's referring to there?
So, what did you get to eat?
Tilman Baumann Guess you did watch until the end, he mentioned that he didn't get to eat.
clawhammr666 listen to that conversion again. ;)
Tilman Baumann Come back tomorrow.
Tested Ay Sir
Which one tasted those foods and passed the laboratory survey safety tested before? I though survey safeguard more important than processing. Does it running in the Google office?
Christopher Kimball, the man the legend. It's his/their fault I make such great chips (fries) and chocolate (+coffee) cake these days. ;)
Cook's Illustrated (Americas Test Kitchen Laboratory), Company's Coming and Atco BLue Flame Kitchen are the best of the best for learning new recipes and cooking systems.
This was great!
COOL!
As someone not from Australia, what is America's Test Kitchen?
From the video i gather it covers lower skill recipes that work well throughout the country?
Sounds cool.
www.americastestkitchen.com pretty positive you can find there shows on pbs.org

thanks!
Hey, there's Bridget!
Where did Chris go?
I miss seeing him on country kitchen with the girls.
If I lived closer I would apply
Nice interview, I wondered how ATK worked behind the scenes.
Well that's made me hungry
It's food time :P
too lucky to be there
What did you eat???
Jesus Garcia Roasted black fur-dog, still hungry....maybe you should stop by for dinner? :) Don't worry I bite. If you can't make it, I'll just tide myself over for a bit by consuming your avatar...
Funny. I always found indecent filmmakers and video games reviewers tastier with more fat and less fur in the way.
Wow, Will, one of your better videos. You seemed like a kid let loose in a candy store.
Meanwhile, in Australia, we have never heard of any of this before.
I am green with envy! The things I would be to be a fly on there wall!!!!
Don't. Stop. Thinkin' about tomoooorrow.
I had no idea that they filmed all the episodes of the TV show in May each year.
How, where, and when can I apply!!!!
The Test Kitchen is now lacking the Intellectual insight and the Disciplined Truthfulness of the Developer Creator and the Person that Built possibly the finest Cooking show in the US... Mr. Kimbell
Not the same or anywhere close without Him❗
Very cool. :D
Something's really wrong with the audio at some points.
I can't get "steak tips" in the Midwest, Kimball!
One thing they still don't do well is their youtube channel, I forget I'm subbed most of the time and there's next to no content in the short short videos anyway.
I love ATK
I'll be honest - this is the first time I've seen Chris as a likable guy. So happy he's gone from the program, but he seems like a more reasonable version of himself off-air.
Is that a Max Temkin I see at 1:50
Love this channel! :D
Do you ever get the feeling people are annoyed that they have to show you around? Sometimes I get that feeling when I look at the person showing y'all around.
Is that Dr. Wells?
Chicken adobo with garlic fried rice
@Landrew0 It's just cooked rare.
If Christopher Kimball was wearing a straw boater hat he would fit perfectly in the 1920s.
Yep; his new magazine is called Milk Street Kitchen. I don't care for the "theme," but I wish him well.
where did Christopher Kimball get the austrian flag suspenders?
same fashion sense as Will
I miss Kimball
This must have been Kimball’s last year. I can tell because there was a black person in the kitchen. It wasn’t until he left ATK (Season 17) that any African American (Elle Simon) appeared on screen. On Milk Street there are no black people on with Kimball.
WHAT DID YOU EAT?
ANYONE ELSE HUNGRY NOW?
I wanted to watch this but the camera is so unsteady, it was making me nauseous. Image stabilization features I thought were a basic feature. wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love down south.. London broil.
Me That's a way of cooking Not a cut.
Store. Yeah.. Still 6.99 a lb for top round. On sale
Me.. Feck.
The show was so much better with the founder and the true brains behind the show Christopher Kimball... Put the usurpers take over like he never existed
this was not a tour it was an interview
+Ryan Critchlow -- It was both.
I miss the original cast
Chris lost his legacy. Sad.
placebo steak
Chris looking unimpressed, as usual. lol
They spend $485,000 on food ayear .._iworked at yahoo and we spent 34 million dollars a year between 5 kitchens and a handfull of snack rooms...Huge waste
And forget asking for a chuck roast. Or short ribs. English style. No bones. They are lost.
Cats
That burger was raw at 10:22!
That burger looks delicious. As long as it is fresh ground from a fresh and properly handled piece of meat, it is perfectly safe
How the hell do you do a radio show about cooking???
Is it just me or has the kitchen gotten uglier over the years... they used to have this beautiful studio quality warm color, wood kitchen..... now its all grey and white.... where did the old kitchen go?
Probably efficiency over aesthetics - any good lab is focused on having efficient tools to acquire the best results at a reasonable speed.
I feel like Chris is a little withdrawn or annoyed to give a tour, he seems a lot more natural on the show. I guess he's just different in person.
i dont think that guy smiled once when will was talking, what a weirdo.
chefs are the most pretentious people one earth. it's food, it's not special.
Drew P. Balls No, I'm pretty sure you are.
Luke Sluder no, I'm pretty sure you are.
You have clearly intellectually bested me. I concede.
i win.
