Today my sister and I made this recipe for our thanksgiving turkey and it was honestly delicious. Ended up making this. It got rave reviews from everyone. When cooked properly (taken out at 150° and left to rest for an hour) its extremely tender. The glaze is very fragrant and strong when cooking but mellows to a wonderful sweetness on the turkey and doesn't get in the way of the natural flavor. Definitely a keeper.

I always do a wet brine. The turkey is so much juicer and had so much more flavor. I use one of those big, orange drink coolers (Igloo brand, I believe) which is insulated so it keeps the bird safely cool and has a spout for easy draining.
@@SleepStarvedNerd I think a dry brine might take a bit longer than a wet brine, but the dry salt will eventually work its way into the meat regardless. I think you do get more moisture absorbed into the bird with a wet brine, but I don't know that that definitely translates into a more tender, juicier finished product. The benefit of drier skin giving you a better crisp in the oven is pretty enticing, but can it offset the (presumably) lower moisture content of the meat? Thank you for this great recipe! Made my first turkey following your steps and the result was clearly the best turkey we have I ever tasted. :) Super easy and delicious!!
I made this for 2020 Thanksgiving. Its so good! I didnt have sherry vinegar so I used white vinegar instead and still tasted great. Instead of having the rosemary in the glaze, I put dried rosemary, thyme and bay leave infused butter under the skin and continued with the glaze as normal. I spatcocked the turkey and rested it on root veggies and herbs (from the ba turkey video from two years ago with Carla), but other than that, that is the only change to the recipe. Even though the quality is different because of the Pixel 3, i don't mind it. It almost feels more on a one to one level or reminds me of old cooking shows from years ago. Really comforting.
You could try introducing a "Friendsgiving" it's something that some people here do if they live far away from family and can't get together. It could honestly be kind of cute if you live somewhere where you don't do Thanksgiving but you want to get together have a Turkey dinner and just like be thankful for your friendship together? Then you can send everyone home with leftovers because trust me as great as a leftover sandwich is it takes two days of that before you're desprate for something else.
I’m not trying to hate but it’s the same content 18/19. Same Preparation, seasoning and cooking. Only variable Andy shares talking points. I was expecting more BA!

Just finished preparing/eating this for Thanksgiving. It. Was. AMAZING!
Tis the season!
Whenever Chris is in the background I get so distracted I love it
Getting a free turkey from work for thanksgiving and have been trying to figure out what to do when I get it, never cooked a whole bird before, this recipe is already my top contender!
Just watching too see Andy squatting getting that bird in and out of the oven:)
This is for cooking go somewhere else if that's all you think about. Some people are here for cooking info!!
This is "THE" BEST turkey I have EVER had! So simple and cooks so quick and the gravy is amazing!
Did you use the Turkey neck gravy recipe?
I want that pomegranate yogurt turkey recipe! Come through dadash!
Omg!! So happy I found it!!! I made it in 2021 and I was looking at the video like crazy for 2024 that I'll make turkey again!!!! I just remember a funny chef and a big kitchen like a school. Now I have it saved for ever❤❤❤❤❤ btw is the best recipe if you where wondering 🎉
I want to be friends with Andy. He seems like a hilarious, fun, and talented guy. I feel like I learned some stuff about making a tasty turkey. NICE!
Even though the quality is different because of the Pixel 3, i don't mind it. It almost feels more on a one to one level or reminds me of old cooking shows from years ago. Really comforting.
I tried this turkey guys!!! It was so juicy so good I’m never going back
I want Andy for Christmas! 💗
I wish we celebrated thanksgiving here, just to have an excuse to have a massive turkey dinner. 😭
Make up a holiday
Or just make a turkey without a holiday. It's not like you can only make a turkey on a holiday
Sometimes it's nice to just have a good turkey dinner without it being attached to a holiday.
Turkeys are way too sweet to do this to...
I LOVE the way he says thermostat
Who's here rt after watching today's ep of the "Making of the perfect turkey" 2019's version 🙋🏻♀️
HL JJANG here
I’m not trying to hate but it’s the same content 18/19. Same Preparation, seasoning and cooking. Only variable Andy shares talking points. I was expecting more BA!
Aye!
2021 and it's almost Thanksgiving
