Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 жов 2024
- Looking for quick, yet personal items you can sew for Christmas stocking stuffers? Here are 6 options that can be sewn using scraps of fabric and sewn in under 10 minutes for each one! The best thing about these, are that they are not the normal gift you'd see like zipper pouches or tea towels. They're accessories that you can add on to other gift items.
Follow the link to get the measurements for the items shown in the video.

you could cut the face wash circles out after they’ve been trimmed, just draw the circles on the fabric
I have a serger and have been sewing most my life, still watching because great ideas and sometimes new methods to learn. It’s great to watch sew alongs from different sewists!
These are awesome! I will definitely be making sleep masks, mug rugs and hand warmers! I have a lot of always cold ppl around 😂
Sounds great! Putting out a video tomorrow with a few more ideas; several links will be in one video. : ) Something that will compliment those mug rugs.... Be sure to check it out!
I SO APPRECIATE YOUR Handa and nails. Beautifully clean and normal.
All great ideas for gifts. We’re on a tight budget this year but I have lots of fabric. You’ve given me some good ideas. Thanks
You are so welcome! More to come tomorrow! I just hope you are able to find them useful! We can make special gifts for loved ones if we just think about who they are and what they like. I have some other simple tutorials that have been posted for a while. Take a look at them as well.
I have enjoyed this video. Thank you for explaining the protects in detail.
Love the book mark and sleep mask. Can’t wait to sew some gifts. Thank you Nikki.💖
You are so welcome! More good items are coming up! Stay tuned!
This is amazing stuff. Thank you for breaking it down so this extreme beginner understands. I will definitely be watching other videos.
I'm watching this playlist today. I'll comment from time to time and leave thumbs up. I hope we can't stay connected 👍🏾❤️
Found this at the perfect time. Making Christmas presents with leftover fabric. Love all of these! Thank you so much.
The chapstick holder was a great idea☺️ So easy, quick and useful❤️
As i sew things like this,as i come down each side i sew all the way off the fabric,,then come back onto it as i start the next seam, this really reinforces the corners..Hope that makes sense to you.. Very nice small gifts, stocking stuffers etc.
I love your enthusiasm! Thanks for sharing this with us!
Those are the sweetest homemade gifts ....well done! Love the fabric!
Take care ❤️ 🇨🇦
Thank you so much for these fantastic ideas. I really enjoyed this video and you!
I just found you and YOU are a KEEPER ! Thank you for the great scrap buster ideas.
I really like the bookmarks. I am going to give them a go. Thank you for posting!
Glad you like them!
I love that book maker I have never seen that my granddaughter is going to love it!! All of your stuff is really cool!! But especially
Oh thank you! Appreciate it! I hope you are able to make her a few new items she can use!
Thank you so much for sharing!👍
Great video. Thank you.
Thank you so much!! This was an excellent video. I love the tip of all cotton to make make the hand warmers. Years back I made them with fleece. Ya they had a burnt smell 😢. Can’t wait to make some stocking stuffers for my daughters 😉💕
Glad it was helpful, thank you. Making the warmers with fleece makes me think about an electric heating pad.... yeah, not good BUT.. trial and error, right? : )
Great projects! Thank you for sharing and taking the time! I’m looking forward to making the bookmarks from scraps I have, and it’s extra special that they will match fabric items I already made for my family.
Have fun! Definitely save your scraps. They will come in handy for a lot of projects. Shove them in a bin or a plastic bag and fish them out when you need! If you can match items you already have, then bonus for being stylish with a theme! : ) I do that with tote bags, book sleeves/covers, wallets, toiletry bags, etc. I love matching items!
Great ideas! Thanks foe sharing!
Great ideas. Thank you for sharing
I can’t wait to make all of these! They all seem like great beginner projects. I also like this style of video where you link to your blog with the measurements! Thank you!
Glad you like them! It gets difficult because everyone does not read the descriptions with links and it ends up taking triple the amount of time to respond for measurement locations.... : ) Thanks for your feedback!
Great ideas. Thanks
Thank you ! Your a great teacher :)
On the mug rigs I had so much felt left over from a project I used the felt in between. It worked great.
That's a great idea! Yes, felt will work. I just don't use felt because I don't want condensation on my tables and it appears a bit thin. How is the felt working for you?
@@SewnByNikki they work just fine. No problems with them.
First time watcher! I want to subscribe, but don’t see where! These are great ideas!🎉
These are so cute
Hi! I liked all the projects ideas. Thank you
Looking forward to your next video
It's coming out this week. More good items to sew for the holidays coming up! : )

You can make the magnetic book marks or book bands thst hold penstoo
Such cute ideas! I want to make some for the ladies in my Bible Study group! Thanks for sharing!
I am a newbie. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
Did you make your ironing pad? I think it is adorable for these small projects. Is there an instructional video for the ironing pad?
Hi Niki! I love watching your videos! I want to make the face pads, chapstick holders, and bookmarks as gifts. I was wondering what the measurements you used for the face pads and for the chapstick holders? Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas!!!
Hello Jasmine,
You definitely should attempt to make some of those items. They are beginner friendly! For the face pads, you can make them whatever size you'd like. You can even make them square! I just took a glass from my cabinet and traced the top of the glass on to a paper and used that as a template. i wouldn't recommend anything wider however, because then it gets to be like a washcloth. : )
@@SewnByNikki awesome! Thank you! What are the measurements you used for the chapstick holder? Thank you so much for commenting back!!! 🥰
I would not have thought of the hand warmers, but those would be great for my sister, who has arthritis in her hands!
I made my hand warmers a bit larger and use it as a heating pack....
Could you put your scented filler in your sleep mask with lavender to help with sleep.
do you have tutorial for travel/neck pillows for children and adults by chance. Just found your channel. I think the sleep mask and travel pillow would go nice together as a gift item
Please Do a close up of #16 & #4 on your sewing machine. I don’t have a Brother sewing machine and I cannot afford a decent serger.
#4 is a zick-zack-stitch, #16 is a combo of straight stitch on both sides with a zick-zack-stitch in the middle, my Carina sewing machine have them too, just take a look on your stitch imagines, I'm sure you'll find them ;)
I'm an experienced sewist & I don't have a serger. I have a HusqvarnaViking sewing machine that does Flatlock & Overcast stitches. I don't need a serger.
Wine bottle bags to use like gift bags
I like stuffing chocolate for co-workers inside of wine bags as well. That's always fun!
I know this video is older but does anyone know where to find measurements for chapstick holder? I looked all over the blog
Where did you find that beautiful book stack fabric? I love it!!
Which one? Are you referring to the book sleeve/tablet cover book fabric?
Where did you get your small ironing pad?
What are the measurements for the chapstick holder?
I can not find them measurements on the chapstick holder 😒
What did you use for the hand warmers?
How do you clean these?
I'm making my daughter a mini backpack for Christmas and I can make her a face mask and sleep Mask that matches her bag
I love this idea! That is how I think when making gifts... always; what else can I make to compliment what I have already sewn! I am sure she will like it. Fabric choice is key!
@@SewnByNikki in my area there isnt alot of choices for fat quarters which is all I needed but I bought a yard each precuts because that's all there was and now I have so much fabric leftover I might as well find other things to make with it
