Loved all your ideas. I'm giving the apron pattern a try. I've made aprons previously... tip: side cell phone pocket! I now add a side cell phone pocket. When you bend over, the cell phone is safely in the side pocket.
Just discovered your channel today and I loved this video. My mother in law has bought my 5 year old daughter (also Amelia 😊) her own sewing machine for Christmas and the dolls clothes look like a great first project for her. Really looking forward to sitting at the table with her, sewing together 😊
I knitted my first one too but this is definitely a lot faster! You could probably just make plain ones from fabric too, without the animal decorations!
This was a great video, Amelia, thank you! I am thinking I might make my 2yo niece and her dolly matching dresses for Christmas - I'll check out the doll clothes you recommended! x
So many lovely ideas, Amelia! The hot water bottle covers are adorable. I'm planning tons of bowl cosies this year and have been having fun pulling out scraps and ordering fat quarters. This is putting me in the festive spirit!
Thank you, Theresa. The bowl cosies are such a perfect gift. I hope you enjoy sewing all of yours! Making this made me feel so festive and now we have Christmas music playing in the house despite my husband reminding me we are still in November. 😂
I love the hot water bottle covers... I may even make one for my boyfriend hehe! I have made both the little doll houses and a play mat for nieces and nephews before and theyŕe so much fun to make. I found the plastic binca you can buy for teaching children cross stitch gave great structure to the houses.
Thank you Imogen, that is a really good tip for the walls of the play house. I made a hot water bottle cover for myself too - albeit a plain one ;) - but I do use mine every day too!
This is the third Christmas since I've been sewing garments and I've just bought my now annual pyjama fabric. I'm very excited to start cutting out and batch sewing flannel bottoms and jersey tops. I love your Christmas dress!
Thank you so much Amelia, I really really enjoyed listening to you and seeing the ideas you have for Christmas gift sewing. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumb’s up too. Please stay safe and well too
Hi from Australia. Great suggestions - things that most people want and not too "crafty". I will definitely be looking at a few of these now and through the year. Thanks also for thinking of us Southern folk. It's beach weather for us at Christmas. Best wishes to you this holiday season.
I have just found your podcast. Lovely ideas🥰 Got to say you have made me blow the dust from my sewing machine. 2023 is the year I want to try and do more sewing and start and make my own clothes. Now subscribed to your channel🥰

Love all your fabulous ideas Amelia and those Christmas pyjamas are going to be amazing. Wonderful dress as well, such a gorgeous shimmer for the festive period. Happy Christmas sewing 🧵 ❤
Thank you so much Catherine, I am so glad you enjoyed seeing all my ideas. I do love a bit of shimmer at Christmas. Can't wait to wear this again during the festive season. ❤
Great ideas! Love the hot water bottle covers, so unique. I also loved your dress, I’ve never seen that type of fabric before and it’s perfect for holiday functions.
hi! wow! your positive, loving energy really sparked my get it done, don't worry about other's opinion of why i choose to make the things i make. TY!!!! ideas. if you leave an opening on the bottom with velcro tabs, for washing, on one of the sides of each panel and insert a plastic canvass, like for rug making, cardboard, or $1. store plastic cutting matts, it will give your house more structure. and for you cozy or water bottle, as long as it is not wool, nylon, acrylic, of plastic nature, you can use an old clean, thick towel, old denim clothes, jeans, coveralls, shirts, only pure cotton no nylon, non-stretchy materials, or nice cotton canvas usually found in home decor. if you have a used canvass tote bag that will work to. sometimes sold as in sets, on sale or at the dollar store. or ask your relatives, a lot of people discard, or quit using them and they're in good condition, plus you can use the bag's handle for carrying or hanging storage, or use it for the car matt, or the playhouse, boys want a hose to. loved all these vintage ideas. can't wait to get started!!!
Yay! I hope you enjoy making your hot water bottle cover. I found them so much fun to make and it is so lovely seeing how much my boys love to use theirs. Thank you for watching! ❤
How did I not know about bowl cosies?? Never mind making them for other people, I need to make myself some to save my fingers. I just don't understand how things get so burning hot in the microwave 😄 Also, those water bottle cosies are incredibly cute.

Tea towels are a lovely idea, but where I live children are not allowed to carry alcohol into a school. The wine would have to be delivered to the teacher at home.

If you check out a channel called 'Stitched Up', Rachel has done a brilliant sewalong for the apron.
Is there a pattern for the doll shown in this video?
Sadly no. It is a 'Dinkum Doll' originally from Oli Ella, but I believe they are more widely available now.
Just an FYI the bowl cozy link sends us to her her Etsy shop and it’s not free. Thanks for your video

No, we use slightly cooled hot water from the kettle.
Tea towels are a lovely idea, but where I live children are not allowed to carry alcohol into a school. The wine would have to be delivered to the teacher at home.
That is really interesting. I am still deciding on wine or hand cream, so will have a think before I gift these.
