A brother that drops everything to help his little sister achieve her goals... RESPECT!
And also the parents too. Not many have that kind of family. 😢
Nah, he is a piggyback
Never say no to a deal to Lori esp when she is this passionate! They did close the deal and in 2022, this company had done $2.1 million in revenue and shipping to 46 countries!

thanks for the update!!
It is very refreshing see a good product that also have a good purpose and also don't have a crazy evaluation.

@@joemama7163 My bad
And for that reason, I'm out.
Love it! No cringy cheezy pitch nor gimmick - right to the point, got everyone's respect and a deal without even really trying. Kudos!
That hit home more than anything for me. It’s for a great cause and they were just straight to the point. They may be young in this clip but they sounded much wiser.
I always prefer genuine, honest and direct pitches over the super cheesy, over-the-top pitches that treat the sharks like kids.
im not sure exactly why but this put a tear in my eye, it was just so genuine.
Same! The product is for a genuinely good cause, to save lives. I’ve had plenty of times that my friends and people I know got spiked. It’s terrifying and knowing there is a subtle and not bad looking way to prevent it, it really resonates with me.
They can make contracts with all festivals, clubs, bars and even bookstores in universities not just individuals. Good product
One thing you can depend on, is if Lori has that much in a company and she's that passionate about it, she's going to make you millions!
Years ago I had my drink spiked while at a club with several friends. Within minutes of taking a sip of my drink I became dizzy and was unable to walk without assistance. My friends helped me into their car and took me home. Was truly frightening.
Wow. I had no idea it was this common. Thank God the worst didn't happen for you. So sorry to hear.
Only a tiny percent of people who say they were spiked ever prove it. Can you?
@@Nonegiven14582 what does that have to do with anything, they don’t have to prove anything to you. You could’ve just scrolled past their comment but instead you decided to come and hate.
@@markzed3555 People make excuses for things that happen to them. Even myself blaming my beta blockers when I feel a bit giddy at the weekend after a heavy drink.
After I was twice being interviewed by the police when females lied. It's best to tell both sides of a story. As you would in court
In one case she was prepared to ruin my whole life. Over something that never happened. Thankfully even the police didn't even believe here
The other case I was at the police station about. The policeman became friends with me and offered me a cup of coffee after I'd had a taped interview and was getting ready to go home late at night.
Just because someone says something happened, it doesn't mean it did.
I am sorry. But in todays world. People need prood. You just go around saying things.
@@Nonegiven14582 You must be a spiker.
Wow, haven't seen lori speak so passionately about a product. I'm glad they made a deal with lori👏👏
What an example what is to have a brother or a siter and drop everything to help her our, you are a good man
Pffft! He flunked his LSATS!
I’ve never commented on this show but… this is one of the best ideas I’ve seen. Lori do it justice!
"I've never heard lori that passionate, i didn't know she had it jn her blood. You should take that deal and run."
Babs came up with a new way to say she's out 😁
This got me tear up, such a lovely product with good valuation. Very genius
I just purchased this item on Amazon for my niece. She loves it a lot. I think I'll get one for myself even though I don't go out that often but it's just nice to have.
Good for them! And thank you for Lori to share the passion! Good luck guys !
Probably one of the BEST products on shark tank ever and one of the best investments on the show too
i agree
It is so sad that humanity even needs a product like this...
of course humanity sucks
Great for keeping bugs and dust out of drinks when drinking outdoor.
First product ive seen in a while that is amazing
My brother experienced spiking😖 he felt al of a sudden weird walked out for air and dropped on the floor, waking up in the hospital. According to the medics he was very lucky seeing how much and wich drugs was found.
The owner of the bar had luckily surveillance cameras and handed them over to the police. They saw the man who did it. Only they didn't find him to arrest.
The police and owner showed the video to my brother and they could tell that the drugs where ment for the girl sitting next to him.
So yeah a real big problem that needs to be solved, hopefully you'll find something that can be used for boys as well. 🙂
Same thing happened to my friend. He attended a party and his drink was spiked. Can honestly happen to anyone.
@@Strikingathlete01 true but most targets are women for a reason. Sickos
Very rare problem…
@@ericsmith7635 no it’s not. When it happens to people, they’re ashamed to talk about it. Happens way more often than you think..
@@hrxmotive8311 i don't see that much guys walking around with a hairband or an armband. So yeah it's also possible for man to use these, but they won't have it with them whilst going out. The great thing about this thing is that it has an useful second function.
My Sprite was spiked junior year of hs I haven't been the same since so kudos for making something that'll help women feel safer and people in general feel more comfortable at a bar or party/big gathering
Sorry that you’ve been through that. Many love ❤❤❤

A year after their episode aired on television, the startups had $2.1 million in revenue.
I have had my drink spiked twice . This would have been nice to have back in the day
A perfect episode. Well done brilliant minds, well done! 💪 ❤
Mark is always excited when people have sales, have boot strapped themselves, got a patient, or whatever. It’s nice.
This is awesome! Congrats to these two
Do college logo versions and I'd bet that organizations would bulk order for swag bags for students
and that’s how the guy would know how to track a woman
This is simple and such a great idea smart to make it into a scrunchie
That was wonderful I feel the same way Laurie did about that.
Great idea, both of them veyr smart and taking Lori deal, oh boy you are going to make so so much money congratulations and best of luck, that product is not only for USA but for all over the world
Me at 21 night cap would be in my drink as I stir my drink with my straw with night cap in my drink lol
I saw another product exactly the same in Northern ireland last year!
This was awesome all the way around.
my man was so buzzed, his eyes gave it away
Good for them!!!!! Such a great deal!!!!
This is freaking brilliant
thank you lori
I knew Lori would be passionate about this, but I find it highly annoying how the rest didn’t as well
I don’t think they were uninterested - Lori just jumped in first and they saw her passion and good offer and wanted them to take the deal and didn’t want to stand in the way of that.
It would be cool as a keychain for guys!
Hopefully NIGHTCAP will offer monogramming, or a personalized digital picture on them so people won't confuse who's drink is who's.
@@bekindtoanimals2189 That's what I was thinking.

This actually smart idea.
UPDATE AFTER THE SHOW: BARB FOLLOWED THEM BACK STAGE BY SAYING "I ALSO FORGOT TO MENTION THAT IM OUT"
Lmao yeah I was going no man is wearing that on their wrist. they have to find a new band 😂😂
Yes id rather get drugged than risk getting my fragile masculinity damaged!! ✅✅
Heres an actual solution: put it in your pocket☺️ hope this helps!!!
The only key thing I can think of it being clean and not filled with bacteria.?
You might have heard, there's a really cool invention that came out ages ago...it's called a washing machine.
I wouldn't put my hat in a drink and she just took it out of her hair. I get that it's just a cover though.
@@andrewflavor the drink cover rolls up inside the scrunchie.
@@andrewflavor you can put it in your wrist?
I rather my drinks have bacteria than spiked
barbara: i never heard that from her, so im out😂😂
Wow that's a great idea
This is a global problem that is getting worse and worse. Even guys are getting spiked as well. Some people spike drinks just becoz they can not even for any particular purpose. Good product.
If a straw can go through the cap, couldn't someone push a pill into the cover as well?
Pushing and slipping it into a drink are not the same. Pushing it into a drink takes more time so therefore you can easily get caught.
You can use a syringe to inject it through the nightcap too.
@@stelity a syringe is a lot more noticeable
Deterrence is a big thing with crimes of opportunity like this. Anything to make it more trouble than it is worth to the person doing it.
True, but it slimes the chances down by 80% if someone wants to commit a crime, they want to be fast and smooth, taking the cap of will be to obvious and injecting something thats going to take a few seconds to do and without being seen with an object as big as your hand makes them think otherwise, good product
happy lunch break everyone!

One question I have - what if there aren’t straws available? Most house parties etc just serve up drinks with basic solo cups… there are no straws. Maybe things have changed in the 20 years since I was in college! But I wonder if it could come with a collapsible straw?
Great idea, I just have a few concerns from a business standpoint:
(1) is there anything from stopping a person from lifting a side up!
(2) anything stopping the person from changing out the straw?
(3) alcohol lowers inhibition, which means people are going to feel more comfortable with this, but if 1-2 aren’t resolved, it could have a backwards effect of predators seeing someone with it and knowing they aren’t checking their drink: so is there a clear version or something the person can still sea their drink?
(4) How do they handle being soaked? Can liquids get through? Both in drugging or for spilling? What happens if you forget to wash them?
(5) if they are one use, as people drink more their inhibitions get worse, and all it would take is a person drunk enough to forget on one drink or to drink past how many caps they had. Is there a way to help those people?
(6) Why not just use the money to lobby your state/country to make all alcohol closed containers and educate people not to consume open containers of alcohol?
I do love the product, I’m just not sure from this video if it helps the problem completely. But it’s a great step in the right directions!
I just think as a business if one person doesn’t have a good experience and uses the product, it has tremendous risk of being sued and your company tarnished greatly.
Barbara: I've never heard Lori had passion I didnt know she had it in her blood and for that reason I'm out
I’ve seen these years ago on peoples drinks
Not original product… I was marketing a “drink condom” back in early 2000s in the club scene. The improvement by being a scrunchy is good.
Sucks that these kind of products are even needed
This is a great idea ! It makes me wonder if my friends drink was spiked :( Friday she was out at a concert or Somethjng posting videos of her self dancing . She had a drink in hand in every video . Next day dead :( it’s SO SO hard 😭😭healthy young happy person. It makes NO sense :(

When are you guys going to upload a new video??
Yeah right

The sales must have skyrocketed after the release of Netflix series Dalhmer
Rich kids
Barbara: You have a great product which is simple and effective also need of the hour but nobody spiked my drink after i turned 60, so for that reason im out.
lol didnt have to scroll far to find a guy saying its bs because women are lying about getting drugged and r/ped. typical
Facebook Ad is a money pit !!
So what if the guy removes the cap and slips the drug? It is so easy to do that especially if the woman is not looking.
I would rather just use a bottle with a cap
Wow makes me wonder how much it's worth now feel like she seen a great idea and two young kids and seen dollar signs. Lol but that's why she is rich is stuff like this
its a little funny that the idea came to her while she was unconscious
I think we were all wanting to hear the story of her college friend getting her drink spiked… but then she randomly ended the story.
Possibly material that's too sensitive for an investment situation. I'm pretty certain the sharks got it and were professionally spared the detail....
It isn’t relevant to what happened to the girl. The product is designed to mitigate spiking.
Wayyyy too sensitive to say on a show. Her friend probably doesn’t want her to say it to the public either if anything bad happened which I assume so.
guarentee her friend doesnt remember what happened but mightve had to take a pregnancy test soon after.... and men will say carrying one of these is an ovverreaction.
Possibly the drink spiking story was about her and she didn’t want to go there and get all emotional on re-telling it on the show.🤷🏽♀️ (p.s. Are there liquid versions used to spike drinks? If so, this product wouldn’t help.)
Barbara - ‘it’ll prevent women being taken advantage of, and for that reason I’m out’
How is everybody’s food?
I'm not putting that thing straight from my hair or wrist onto the top of my drink! How has nobody talked about washing it?
It doesnt come in contact woth your hair lol
They should put Bill Cosby's face on them.
😂
I swear I have seen this exact episode before
@TripleD - 1. what do you want a "seen this episode before" medal ?!? 2. swear much in daily life, too?
@@warriormanmaxx8991 im with you on 1 but what dou you mean with number 2?? "I swear" is a common saying
Great idea and product! However, it seems a bit unsanitary to cover your drink with something that was in your hair. Maybe she might find a way to improve the product.
I think the part that touches your hair is on the outside. The cover is tucked in, like in a pocket - so it’s not touching anything else but the inner layer of fabric.
Better hair than spike juice
It was rejected in Shark Tank India
Men get spiked too, even poisoned because of their exes, so it’s good for both, I just don’t think many dudes wanna carry around a scrunchy lol
Put it in your pocket, id rather carry around a hairtie than get drugged
So sad this is such an epidemic. It shows how corrupt our youth has become. I hope it isn't that bad.
Sadly this has been happening for over 50 years. Internet is exposing it now. Ask Bill Cosby.
"Has become"
This is not a new problem!
So the ‘has become’ is nonsense.
My Dad used to warn me about the problem of people putting something in my drink and told me to never ever put down my glass while not monitoring it closely as well as to always hold my drink with my hand as a cover on it.
…I must have been about 19-20 years old when he warned me and now I’m 54…
So definitely not a ‘recent issue’…
❤
He looks high
Smart Intelligent siblings.
But what if someone just removes the cover and spikes the drink? What if the drink is spiked just right when the bartender serves the drink and the cover couldn’t be put on the cup at that time?
Bhai it is just a precaution. If someone wants to target a particular person then he will have his way. You can inject it through a syringe or some other way but these things are gonna take some time which will divert the criminal from spiking this particular drink to the uncovered ones.
But if he is targeting someone then he will come with a fool proof plan to success.
It’s about reducing risk not 100% elimination of any possibility - that’s impossible to achieve
@@nk47100no its not
Its called “remove” yourself from said environment
People cant spike your drink if you never give them the opportunity
@@sleepn_on_me2473 so stay inside with your doors bolted 24-7? We are talking about college kids. They’re going to go out. It’s called harm reduction. Look it up.

I cant imagine being this conscientious when im out gettin wasted

So did Leary then develope a product to
spike a drink that has a Night Cap on it?
Cant believe the amount of people tripping over this product. Why are you so concerned a woman shouldn’t take extra precaution? I feel like if you disagree with this product, we’ve found our predators. Jesus people.
I SWEAR, huh?
Love Lori...
Too bad she's married
Lol
This product reflects very poorly on us men. So many predators among us.
Good for these two.
Please explain to this girl the difference between “Woman” and “Women”
Useless idea.. a drink cover which is a scrunchy.. i mean its yuck!
Wouldn’t the perpetrators just unlid and put the spike in?
that would take time, with chances of getting caught.
Most crimes are crimes of opportunity. If it’s dark and crowded, they likely won’t even like it’s there. They try to dump something in and it maybe they don’t even realize it doesn’t go in or maybe they realize it’s not and they move on.
🤷♂smaller straw can deliver the substance. This product doesn't interest me. Someone will find a way to spike if they're determined. Not into this
This is a bacteria magnet though. From your hair or hands to the drink.
Tbf I can fight off some bacteria with antibiotics. I'd take those chances over possibly being drugged by a stranger.
Also an issue for men. Let's not play sexist games.
Not nearly as often though.
@@Slanghomy false. According to Alcohol Addiction Center, they found 44% of men reported being victims of spiked drinks, 56% for women.
When surveyed for other things like sedatives, MDMA, and unknown substances men were a few percentage points off.
