Grassroots club have a have heart & soul embedded in them, they are so social. I always wonder what an international match atmosphere would be like if all the ticket allocation was through grass root clubs. I picture the biggest end of season away trip coach tour ever. Thanks for highlighting how great & diverse our game is.
I love GBR and especially this episode; Hask is a legend and without him this pod just wouldn’t be the same! He’s the heart and soul of the pod and the reason I tune in! Hask for Mayor 😎
From a dyed in wool Kiwi and NZ Rugby fan, who’s Dad played Union most of his life, also my Granddad who coached, I grew up with 7 Uncles in our small community, lived and breathed this wonderful game and dearly wanted to play. However my Dad forbid me doing so. The reasons he explained to me at the time were the potential injuries to the more vulnerable female body, particularly the abdominal region. This was the ‘80’s. I respected this at the time and all the years that passed since. I know how certainly correct he was for me; and am grateful of his wisdom and instinct as a young Dad, especially since he’s supported everything else I’ve decided to choose in life. I can’t judge other’s for choosing or deciding otherwise, however woman’s rugby is risen from a different culture and era to the traditional game. Tindall is right. This sport should not be paralleled or ghost mens rugby. It needs its own path.
Amazing podcast Again, everyone on the show has been undervalued or underrappreeciated over the year's at some point and I count myself lucky to be able to listen to everything they say and I want to wish you All the best and please continue the great content
Loved this episode, almost every one of us who have ever played the game have been supported and developed by a grassroots club like Westbury. This is rugby and the unions and people making huge sums of money out of the professional game today need to remember that without these grass roots club there is no professional game and no money to be made.
What’s all this stuff about stopping playing?? I’m 59 and still playing regular 2nd team rugby. You don’t stop playing cos you get old, you get old cos you stop playing😎😎🏉🏉

got flattened by a prop off a kick ff during my very first season as a senior player about 20 years ago. full open rib levelled.
Proper.
Billy should be in the England coaching setup too.
My inspiration: Geech, my schoolmaster in Leeds.

Fantastic pod. Emily ask for a gin and tonic. On a world stage, bloke brings her one no ice no lemon. Why would he do that?
