Ive seen a lot's of great players live and Robinson is up there with the best.
You know you're a legend when you're revered in both rugby codes. In his day he was a top 5 winger in both.
A class act, i had forgotten how great the 2003 team was.
THATS A RUGBY LEAGUE PRODUCT RIGHT THERE !
#9: *casually jogs 7 paces to try line*

Haha exactly what I was thinking, scoring a try in a world-class team doesn't make you world class...
I’d forgotten how fast he was over the first 5-10 yards. He must have been one of the fastest people in the world. He really was elite sprinter quality. He could also change his pace and direction instantly.
He somehow seemed to be able to change direction in mid-air!
I only saw him play live once. I just watched him and not the game. He was incredible both in defence and offence. His ability to be at full speed in two steps was uncanny.
Always remember Robinson going up against loti for the first 2003 final try 😂 6'5 going up against 5'8 in the air. Never had a chance bless him. Had the final laugh so all good.
My Gran had a nickname for this world class player.
Billy Wiz she called him.
Rest in Peace Dot.
Jason was my sporting idol.. remember watching him and the next day going out and spent hours practicing sidestepping to try and replicate him before getting my first rugby ball and joining my first team.. a legend
What a legend at the 03 WC 🏆 NO1 🏴 🏉
He was something else at that 2003 world cup. That try against Wales 👌👌👌
The break against Wales gave me goosebumps. This era of rugby was brilliant near the start of professionalism-just not the same today.
That 2003 English team was legendary.
Never watched him play but what a player!!!
fantastic player in both codes and what a great attitude
Still the only England player to score a try in a World cup final. Would love to have seen Jason go to 1st receiver more often for set piece moves for England I can only think of 3 times he did so and he scored on 2 of those occasions!
When started as a 15-16 in the Wigan second team they played him scrum half and he'd just run off and score.
@@2manycarsinbasel155 England rugby union did not see the best of Jason Robinson!!. I'm sure if there wasn't a certain Jonny Wilkinson playing at the same time we might have seen Sir Clive start Jason at 10 a few times. Jason was the sort of player who could become world class whichever position he played on the pitch (as a back that is!!).
Silky smooth. Running like a basilisk gliding on water.
One of my favourite wingers particularly being a world class dual code athlete
The slow-mo shimmy around number 9. Just beautiful.
"Billy Whizz" - His turn of pace was unbelievable, and one of only a few RL players to have been a success after converting to RU.
A total one off .....loved watching Billy whizz
The impact he had on England when he crossed over to union was unbelievable. Such a once in a generation talent.
Even when we would be getting turned over against the Australians in league games, he'd still manage to get tries. One on one he's up there with the best.
Billy Whizz. A legend.
First saw him live at Twickenham playing for Wigan against Bath under Union rules. He was electric.
What an amazing player pure World class talents like Jason only come along once in a blue moon!
Loved watching this player.
I'm die Hard All Blacks But I'll take my hat off 4 this Guy Pure Talent
