I would say you need bigger subs, those subs look like 12 inch and as myself for small events I only use 2 18s but I still feel like I need more . But if space is a problem like transportation space . I say you stick to them or put the 4 subs together behind the facade! I’m not a expert but trying to help !
Get yourself a DSP (DBX is GREAT) to handle crossovers, delay, limiters, eq ect. In the meantime you can use left & right for the mains and use an AUX send from your mixer to your subs using a (TRS to XLR Male cable) then link up all the subs subs with xlr and use the subs built in crossover. If you want stereo subs you have to have stereo inputs going into your mixer then send each to an aux output say Aux1 for Left subs Aux 2 for right subs. Using Aux subs gives you more control over the sound as you can dial in the output of the subs seperate from the mains.
Once you get a dbx or any other DSP play with the crossover points and type of crossover curves (Linxs Riley, Buttersworth, L-R, ect) I usually do 100hz to 20,000k for the tops mains and 33hz to 110hz for the subs.
