With 300+ hours under my belt and approaching MR15, I'm finally starting to feel like I understand this game *just* enough to start talking about it. I hope this guide will dispel a lot of the confusion around the whole Hydroid Prime Access thing, since I remember finding it REALLY confusing when I first started. Thanks for watching everyone :)
Great guide Skill-up. The Only thing you might've mentioned in addition is the ability to sell your own prime pieces/other trade-able items for Plat on WFT to Make the Plat to buy What you want. I find this is often the fastest way to obtain what i want since it Cuts down on the RNG significantly. Also mention Radiant Relic Runs would have been a decent Thing to note as well. But great content though! Glad to see you in the community Mate \^_^/
Skill Up Mr 15? In like what a month or two? Wow. Lol people gifted you that much stuff for Mr fodder? Or did you just drop that much money? I'm not convinced you should be considered a vet yet.
Im a warframe veteran and didn't know you could type the name of an item in the codex in relics and it would show the relics with the item. You learn something new everyday.
Arekkz Gaming Honestly I'm surprised you haven't posted anything about warframe yet from your division and destiny series. Excited for Monster Hunter World btw :)
I've been playing the game for about 3 or 4 years, and I just watched the whole video even though I knew all this and more. I can't decide which of us is stranger lol.
If you just boil it down its not that bad just try and take it in small doses and youll be fine. Honestly what i used to do is watch the video through then pause the video and do what they said every step (do this if you can if not than skip the 1st part).
10mikey "clickbait trash" video clearly states how to get hydroid prime free by farming. i think you need to get your understanding of "clickbait" relearned
Thank you so much! Your review got me back into WarFrame as I fell off in 2015 and came back to a game that has taken over my life again. It even made my friends that hated it give it a chance and got them hooked too! Again thank you so much because you are doing good for this amazing community!
For me, Prime Access is for fashion frame, the money I'm paying for is the Prime profile glyph and and Prime accessories. Boosters and the prime Warframe are kinda useless. #FashionFrame
One pretty crucial thing he needed to point out here about opening relics...ALWAYS do it in groups. Once everyone has opened their relics and completed the mission/rotation, all players in the squad can choose anyone else's opened relic reward. So if your relic produced a common reward, but a squadmate got a rare reward, you can choose your squadmate's reward, in fact, EVERYONE in the squad can. It ends up making farming prime parts infinitely easier than it would be if done solo. Imagine doing a raid in Destiny and someone in your fireteam got a raid exotic you've been struggling to get, and they got it during a new run and you could just choose their reward instead of dealing with what you were dealt. Same thing here...only fissure missions are normal fare and not raid content.
Skillup, I'm not even sure if you'll read this, but I hope you do. I write this after watching many of your videos, my favorites being your reviews, and as a guardian and Tenno myself, I share your sentiments about the games we, and many others, have enjoyed. I write this to thank you for your work and time and effort your put into your videos. Each, to me, is a master stroke of its own, each delivering your thought process in a precise but sufficient and entertaining way. With your videos up, UA-cam gains a personality who is eccentric but professional, creative but concise. Thanks. So eyes up guardian, Tenno, and content creator. Your subscribers eagerly await the next video. This one thinks you won't disappoint. P.S. Here's hoping Anthem and Destiny 2 don't disappoint yeah?
One of the nicest comments I've ever received. Stuff like this makes staying up until 3am to upload all worth it :P And the good thing is, even if Destiny 2 and Anthem do fall a little flat, we'll always have Warframe to fall back on :)
Skill Up Thanks so much for the reply! This made my day. And yeah, we will always have Warframe, as long as I can get my connection issues sorted out :/
Ben Y. Reading the comment and the response you got back from Skill Up made me happy to see this. Whenever I write these types of comments to content creators that I liked they just act like assholes and get pissed off or just don't take the time to respond or acknowledge any of the comments their subscribers send them of support. I'm glad to see Skill Up really cares about his subscriber base and community that he's created.
Just want to thank you for making these videos. Started following you when I was playing The Division. The reviews you have done on video games since have greatly influenced my choices in games I play. Warframe has been fantastic. Appreciate how you're always positive and genuinely look forward to new videos and guides!
This is an amazing video for starters. It is quite complete and explains each part of the process. Amazing job, mate. Really. You are, without a doubt, a great addition to the warframe community.
David Konetzke yeah same here. I did find out, and wasn't really covered, that you can filter trade chat also if your looking for say "hydroid" parts, so that you don't see all the other things.
Just downloaded this game on my Nintendo Switch , thank you for summing this up really well. This really simplified everything for me since I used to play other games that require you to grind/ farm for rare items
First :D Edit: (after watching the video) this could also be a tutorial video for those veterans who came back after a while cuz back then they had an entirely different system. First warframe tutorial, great video. I remember back than when I started the game the prime access was for valkyr and I thought holy shit this is cool. And now I'm at a point I got her and yea it does feel satisfying to grind those prime warframes on your own :D
Still MR1, on Venus, still learning and reading, AND I DEFINITELY NEEDED THIS!!!! Not only you convinced me to play but have helped me plan ahead or given me insight.
TitaniumDragon the game will get harder.. Trust me on that.. and when it comes to you getting the Archwing you have to complete the whole of venus and mercury... just make sure you have completed the requirements to get to each planet.. and you will have to beat bosses before opening any gateway to a new planet.. have fun and good luck
I got Fang Prime from my first Void Fissure mission. Got Two Harrow Chasis? You sure I should use my relics up whenever? Is it best to do it solo or with people when doing void fissures?
TitaniumDragon Do relics with other people. Don't do the howl of the kubrow quest, the upkeep is expensive if you have no nutrio incubator upgrade. Well I don't think you can do it just yet anyway. Nano Spores are found in Saturn...
I remember trying to wrap my head around rotations and stuff when i got back into Warframe, this guide does a fantastic job of breaking it down. Subbing to your channel has been a great addition to my gaming experience, thanks Skill Up :)
you offered a excellent guide to this, there was one thing that was left out i'd like to mention, if you run these with Strangers or friends, you can also pick from there Relics they run with SO long as you opened a relic yourself.
the codex search feature for prime parts in around 8:23 is still quite new to some people, its quite unknown to even some players that had been sticking long with the game. Good job for using that feature
THANK YOU! really I thank you a lot for this video that did not take over 20 min to explain the key parts. Now I understand how the pools work and how to farm relics properly, thank you againa Skill Up! You are the best! Keep up the good work TENNO!
Your presentation is the best on UA-cam, what wouldve taken me hours of googling and forum scrolling on how Prime Grinding works....took me 15 minutes with your help. Love you man and make more short guides on highly confusing topics like this one. I was lost for a week not knowing how to aquire Primes
This video was a godsend. Seriously. I spent $80 on Oberon Prime because I thought I needed to spend money to get it. I don't regret spending the money, I used it to trade with other players and got some sweet stuff (like Ember Prime) but I was dreading spending more money to get Hydroid Prime. I had NO idea how to get it. This video was EXACTLY what I needed. Please keep these videos coming.
I didn't learn that day 1 playing. I always thought Primes had to be paid for with real money. It took me about a week before I went "AHA". I now have about 800-900 hours racked up between both PC and PS4 versions.
You didn't mention that you can squad up with people running the same relic, so your odds of getting what you want at the end of missions goes up by 4x ;)
Thank you for being a voice of clarity and reason! Your content has made me scheptical to the gaming industry in a good way and also made me question what I acctually want from games rather than what the gaming industry tells me I want. ( You give people the nescecary "tools" to better understand what quality is ) Sincerely, Stian.
Can't stress enough how much I love this game. I can be really wordy but this game has many great features that are married beautifully that create, for me, an experience in gaming akin to how I first felt playing FF7 years back. so much to do, to see, to gain, to work towards, to conquer. All I'm missing is some Tenno to tackle things with in a bit more organized fashion. Currently, I'm trying to complete the star map and will randomly drop into different alerts. I like playing solo but enjoy the co-op experience so much that I (sometimes) refuse to do missions unless I can find at least one other person to join me. Now that I'm understanding the game more and acquiring more powerful mods, I'm excited to get to higher level encounters
i love this video. Mainly because it helps players like me who was there during the game's early days and left it for a long ass time and is now struggling to get back and figure out how to do everything all over again. Thanks alot!
Great video, I played Warframe first in 2013 but never got too much into it, I'm interested in coming back and playing as Hydroid so this video helped me a lot!
Zanes I have Loki. I don't know how I have Loki. Started in June 2017. I should have had Excalibur for a starting character. So I'm watching guides and everything talks about Excalibur and using his skills. So most of the time I'm at a loss or struggle where others make it look easy. It took me 9 tries to get off Earth. It took me two months to get Mars unlocked. I'm still struggling with finding places to scan so I can access Phobos. I have zero clue what I'm doing. I have zero clue how to get better weapons because everything requires resources that I can't unlock yet. I've been seriously struggling to know how to even advance mastery past level 2. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm not having much luck understanding what to do/farm.
During a time, Loki was one of the starting warframes. Is your account entirely new? Maybe if that's the case, you should make a new one. I know you have to pass some mastery tests to unlock the next one, you should look into the wiki about that. The reddit has some guides too, I can't say much because I'm a beginner too. Hope that helped.
T.J. Holland Don't focus on getting new weapons, focus on upgrading those mods; Serration, Pressure point, Hornet Strike, Point blank, and Elementals are most important. Equip the "Tiefs wit" mod so it would be easier to find cephalon fragments. Go to simularcum in the relay, you can practice mr tests there. Hope this helps man.
I'm guessing that it saved my account from when I tired the game back in 2014 or 2015. But everything was reset. I wasn't able to select a class and got stuck with Loki. In the two weeks since this post, I've learned Loki is actually pretty good. I've just been playing Loki like the videos was playing Excalibur. Since then I've figure out how to use Loki as Loki.
Yeah I've focused those mods. The modding wasn't my issue. I was playing Loki incorrectly and learned how to play as Loki. It really helps to play correctly to what frame your playing. My main problem was I was trying to play as Excalibur on Loki. It is much better since I learned Loki.
I persevered with warframe because of your videos- and wow it is definitely worth it. The game is fantastic, even though everything is really unfriendly to new players with no hand holding at all. I gave up on it twice before but finally persevered. It has the stuff I wish destiny had- random stages, random bosses, good end game looting system and it does grinding sooo much better. Remember those destiny sword quests that made you run around collecting materials for hours- worst experience in a vg... plus had to do it 3 times !!
Good video, it might be worth mentioning that if you buy the prime access pack you get the warframe fully built to your arsenal right away. If you instead farm the parts (or buy them from other players) you need to have all the resources to craft the warframe, and also wait roughly 3 days for all parts to be built. If you're a new player thinking about utilizing warframe.market to buy Hydroid Prime, make sure you have the resources needed to craft him before spending 500 plat buying the set from another player.
iIm nowhere near new to the game, i just like watching your warframe content because you're representing this game so well to new players and easing them into the game video by video. I'd say you've become my favourite youtuber for how well you show that this game is nowhere near 'pay to win' or 'pay to play' as my friends say warframe is. thank you very much for taking such interest in warframe and showing people how great it is, you're really making this game fun again for me just by showing players that this game isn't so bad after all.
How to get everything free in Warframe 1. be a UA-camr with over 100k subs 2.have zero hours in game 3.check your inbox for free things and skip over 300 hours of farming.
Vitor Santana Skill up got free warframes including the new ones, thousands of platinum, sandanas, weapons and skins from other players as soon as he started playing and he barely knew anything about the game. He even got hunhow's gift gifted to him by another player before even starting the second dream. He got Octavia and harrow for free before starting their quest as well from other players. Pretty much all the stuff that was given to him isn't temporary at all.
As a new player of warframe, had 60 hours before the relics stuff happened and then have 10 hours of confusion recently because of the relic system, this is a great help. I even think that you explain this stuff better than other youtuber. You deserve a sub my man
Even though, I know how to farm prime parts, You're wordimg was explicit, and simple enough to understand and really grasp the sense of what we have to do in order to farm. Almost felt like a learned something new. 10/10
You continue to impress with how quickly you grasp the overarching mechanics. You should do a short tutorial on the Void Trader soon, introduce people to the Ducat market and how to dump unwanted/unnecessary Prime components before the big rush.
Hey, I really like your reviews but this is the one time I have a problem. You did a great job upto refinement, I know you probably didn't want to make the video long but your personality/ability to explain makes it easy to listen to you. However, for refinement I believe you left off the most important detail which is “how to get more trace?". I remember being a new player I never understood how I got trace because I kept doing missions and not seeing it until I realized (with the help of a friend) it's the missions that open the relics (fissure) that gives you traces.
Skill Up. imho your next warframe PSA should be "How to trade and how to get platinum 100% free". what can be traded, where to trade, how to priced your items, what are wts, wtb, wtt and pc. who should you trade your stuff with.. and so on
Well its very good of you to make this video to help new players. You are making great strides for the community and I look forward to seeing more Warframe content from you on youtube to advertise the game more.
This doesn't apply to people with jobs and busy schedules (or even people who can work but are too lazy to get a job). Now that I work full-time, time IS money. Working a couple overtime hours would get me the most expensive Prime Access, whereas grinding the relics, refining them, and finding people to run them with would take all weekend. For some, it's the main part of the fun, but since I started having an income I realized I never liked grinding much at all, but something I just got used to playing free games. Also, learning economics is the way to win at finances in life. Same goes for Warframe. Knowing when and what to invest your plat into pays off big time. Over the years I've saved up vaulted sets and rush traded fresh releases. With a plat balance of over 2k and another 6k in my inventory gaining value I won't need to buy plat anytime soon.
That's pretty easy for a vet to say, but as a new player I literally didn't know what those words even meant when I started, let alone things like void traces, derelict runs and warframe.market.
game is always evolving and some features are remade. i didnt play since second dream was released and started playing three weeks ago. it took me a few days just to get up to speed and i still dont know quite a few things. some are pretty easy to understand, but how about efficiency? now that takes time.
Skill Up As a vet that takes long breaks from the game (I started 3 to 6 months after it first appeared on steam), I have wished that more people would make videos on terminology and etiquette for trade, group finding, relic hunting, as well as lists of things that can only be acquired with real money or plat (would certainly settle some misunderstandings), and optimal ways to acquire various resources. I'm sure that now that you've moved into intermediate territory knowledge wise that things that you've freshly learned can be freshly communicated to new and old players alike. Some of these are core ideas that should generate a medium to high volume of views as they are essential. I'd love to throw you more ideas to help you create more content.
This is perfect, I wish this video existed when i was a new player, because the explanation of derelicts and drop table rotation was exactly what I needed, keep it up :)
FINALLY! That's the video I have been waiting for. There was lots of useful info in there. I'm at MR8 and it was foggy for me this whole thing, about relics. Good video man, you got a subscriber. ;)
First off I would like to thank you for introducing this game to me. I saw your review and downloaded it that day. I have been completely hooked since then. I have a few weeks in and am still learning. So thank you for all the warframe videos you put out...they have helped me a lot
To save you time, you simply just grind and pray to RNGesus that you'll get the prime part you need or..take the easy route, buy the parts off of people.
Skill up I gotta thank u once again for putting me up on this game, since I started playing it I haven't touched another game. This game have so much to offer. I even canceled my Destiny reservation til a later date because I won't have time to it thanks to warframe. I truly appreciate what you do bro. Thanks again.
As a new player thanks to you @skillup this was a very useful guide in helping me understand all my options as I have been confused from the start if I could grind them out or had to pay. Look forward to your next video!!
It is the most overpriced thing on the planet. Don't buy it. Ever. Wait for a 75% discount from the daily tribute to get platinum and farm for primes instead.
Xorn The Manslayer i like skill up but because he sucks DE off he gets everything for free it annoys me that all the other warframe youtubers who are smaller that do all skill ups stuff but better don't get anything from DE or they get guide of the lotus thats it they don't get free stuff they grind but as soon as a larger youtuber comes in in this case skill up he gets everything for being a large youtuber
Jason Kent it may be there as a way to support the game but most of the time its a rip off when i can farm 2 derelict survivals and get all the relics i need or do a group search?
Da Voodoo the point is DE gives him stuff because he's a large youtuber he got invited onto the dev stream whereas a UA-camr with 2000+ hours gets nothing but guide of the lotus it's all about channel size not contribution to the game
Not a vet but iv been playing for quite a while now, this video is actually very well made bro, keep up the great work :) i specifically appreciate your tone and pace in the explanations, helps me help my friends who would otherwise just burn out if i tried to explain with my overkill enthusiasm XD
Roberto Goulart so Radshare means I shouldn't show up without a radiant relic? Also as you can only choose one, out of all 4 prizes. Wouldn't it be better to only put up one at a time? I'm guessing I'm wrong but just thinking.
Krimson Wolf It's more efficient to put up one radiant at a time, as you can possibly get up to 4 of the parts you want. But even running 4 radiants at the same time might not get you it.
If all 4 people use a radiant relic, the chance for at least one person to land the rarest item is ~33%. It's not the most efficient use of relics over the whole population of the game, but it is the most efficient use for any single person as they go from a 10% chance with just their relic to 3x that number. If everyone uses the relics in turn, the total chance of getting the item is still the same but it takes up to 4x longer and you have to deal with people ditching before using their relic.
Basically, it does. Only thing that's not 100% accurate is that Derelicts aren't the only ways to get relics, and since each Derelict trip costs a crafted key, you want to stay in the Derelict mission as long as possible to get the most out of it. When you're looking up the relics in the codex, clicking on each one will tell you what mission they can drop in, so you can better target relics that way. Also, places like Hepit and Ukko in the Void are Capture missions, and Void missions ALWAYS drop a relic at the end. So depending on how powerful you've gotten, you can fly through Hepit or Ukko in literally 1-2 minutes each run and net a bunch more relics than a defense will net you, which you can at least open for prime stuff to trade for ducats in the Relay if you don't need them. Only problem there is they may not be the exact relics you need if you're hunting for something specific. Hope that helps.
I'm glad your finally making how to videos. I started this game when you did you're review because I have a similar taste in games as you and you made it seem so damn good. however, since then you've only done stream highlights (in terms of warframe anyway) and I haven't been able to watch them as I do not want to spoil the game for myself if I can avoid it. I plan to watch them when I get through those points. I love your videos and your scripting is great, hope to see a few more of these types of warframe videos in the near future. keep up the good work.
damn! and i thought i was going slow. a little over 1000 hour and MR16. i just don't build a lot of weapons or warframes. i only do that when i see one that interests me
Abra Kadabra Well don't buy them. Buying PA is for people that want to support the devs. There is trading if you want good cheap weapons, 10p for lex prime, 15p for paris prime, etc
Thanks to skillup, I've. Been playing warframe from a month now around 80hrs in. The second dream was a master stroke. It's good to have a UA-camr like skillup. (Unsalted). Keep it up man look forward to the next video....
The farming option is 100% free though. And while you farm for one thing, you get many other things which you can sell to others. So it's better than free, the game basically pays you in platinum for every mission you do.
Thordor1s not really considering the time you have to put out to grind for prime frames is actually disgusting since first you have to get the relics to drop then you have to refine them to actually have a decent chance at the parts you want which means you need the material for doing it and where do you get that oh yeah from grinding through other relics so its a endless cycle with only rng chance and same with other shit like rivens and so much more for instance just last week i was gonna build ivara and what did i have to do to get her not only did i have to do a fuck ton of spy mission runs which are the most unfun type of misions but on top of that i had to do them on lua and it took a shit ton of runs because of that since there are more lasers then you cant count but once that was all said and done i needed a fuck ton of nitain which is also rng if you find that fun after all the craft times and everything else then you are not sane
Skill Up, I know this video is 2 months old but I just want to say thank you. For some reason I saw this video in my feed and I clicked on it, curious because I had never heard of a game called Warframe. I started researching more and eventually I got the game and I've never looked back. Therefore, you started me on my journey as a Tenno. ~~~ Yours Truly, a new subsriber.
Been playing this game for well over 3 years now but I still keep coming back from time to time. The game is unlike any other and grinding feels rewarding. The community is great and the devs are interactive and constantly give out new content and features. Back then, I started just playing just for fun because it was f2p but I didn't really realize I'd be sticking around this long and being with this game through its ups and downs was great. I really hope more players come in now or come back considering how far it has gone since it was released. It's almost a way different game
always enjoy your videos! your warframe videos convinced me to give it a try. love playing it now. i'm only 10 hours in but immensly enjoy time on it so far. thanks again.
Hi Skill Up, Fairly clear video. Loved the bit about the reality of a package being more about the Platinum and boosters rather than the frame and weapons. I may wait for a discount weekend/booster and spend a few $ on Plat to help with my current weapons slot/frame squeeze. Minor tweaks from my really new to Warframe point of view - is just to state clearly that you take the void relics that you've farmed/improved into Fissure missions that will state what type of relic they open and you need to look at the flame-thing in your mission director to see what Fissure missions are currently available. So if the frame part you need is the chassis, its from a meso relic, then you need to find a meso fissure mission to run to pop it and get the chance at the chassis.
Thanks for the guide, lots of things I was curious about got covered and I know this will help me as I really start to get into crafting so I'm not just mindlessly hunting for relics & prime pieces.
I'm a veteran player but couldn't help but watch the video. You do a damn good job making warframe less complicated for explication then I do when telling friends, keep it up.
I just starting playing yesterday and I'm blown away. Can't believe it's a free game. I find it really good but at the same time really complicated for new players. That's why I thank you and your videos mate!
As a veteran player myself, it's nice seeing a video going over this topic, since I barely know how this works myself. Though I do hope as a fan of DE that some people still will buy the access packs to give back to DE for such a wonder full game. I've been buying the prime access packs since Nova prime came out, not so much for the Warframe and gear, but like stated in the video, the boosters, plat, and to give back to DE. I know the game can be played entirely for free, but I for one can't help but spend money to further it's development now that I have the money too. Heck, i wish I had they money to help them 4 years ago when I started playing while Excalibur prime was up.
Thanks for watching everyone :)
skill up why no video about 1.8 the division
GoldenFerrari778 warframe is better bud
Tbh I've just been super busy mate. I actually hope to do one this weekend though :)
Wait....U COULD DO THAT
IMAGINAAAAAATION
I don't even play Warframe and I just watched this whole video XD
We'll get you into our ranks one day Arekkz! YOU'LL BE ONE OF US YET! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA
If you ever decide to play, remember you have people in your circles to help as well!
lets start playing it then chop chop
You forgot to tell new players nitain extracts are cancer.
True.
Fuck Vauban Prime.
Lmfaooo literally just do every alert possible for them
Shia LaBeouf Fuck Nitain
Alertian extract
But but I have 237 of them am I just lucky?
being a beginner maybe like 3 hours into the game...holy crap this is complex af
Axy Colle what lvl are u now? I'm just 50 days in
but its fun and thats what matters
If you just boil it down its not that bad just try and take it in small doses and youll be fine. Honestly what i used to do is watch the video through then pause the video and do what they said every step (do this if you can if not than skip the 1st part).
Northern lol that was 9 months ago,I think he's already gotten to end game lol.
The profile pic says it all
He finally KNOWS things, I'm proud
anon ymous lol
anon ymous Soldier?
10mikey "clickbait trash"
video clearly states how to get hydroid prime free by farming.
i think you need to get your understanding of "clickbait" relearned
anon ymous If he can show progress line/mind map of this complex relic farming system would be more clear to players
10mikey You didn't watch the video
Thanks Skill Up, I just started playing earlier this month and was completely clueless how all this worked. Thanks for dumbing it down for me lol.
I'm watching this with over 2500 hours in the game...why?
to make sure his facts are right
+virotox so true lol
virotox lmao so accurate
Godzelda 123 : me 2. watched it after dinner while taking a break.
Godzelda123 because you are a sucker for punishment.

Look ma, I'm famous

Racingboom The Pleb lol
Wow
got them god rolls?
Thank you so much! Your review got me back into WarFrame as I fell off in 2015 and came back to a game that has taken over my life again. It even made my friends that hated it give it a chance and got them hooked too! Again thank you so much because you are doing good for this amazing community!
CissBro same here
Same
Prime Access is also a way of "purchasing" the game, should you want to feel that you're supporting the game.
For me, Prime Access is for fashion frame, the money I'm paying for is the Prime profile glyph and and Prime accessories. Boosters and the prime Warframe are kinda useless. #FashionFrame
I genuinely only think of it as a way for me to give some extra cash to the game company that has changed my life with their wonderful game!
Skillup,
I'm not even sure if you'll read this, but I hope you do.
Stuff like this makes staying up until 3am to upload all worth it :P
And the good thing is, even if Destiny 2 and Anthem do fall a little flat, we'll always have Warframe to fall back on :)
Skill Up Thanks so much for the reply! This made my day. And yeah, we will always have Warframe, as long as I can get my connection issues sorted out :/
Ben Y. so, you disappointed in d2 as well 🌚
Xavier Massiah very much so, yes
Just want to thank you for making these videos. Started following you when I was playing The Division. The reviews you have done on video games since have greatly influenced my choices in games I play. Warframe has been fantastic. Appreciate how you're always positive and genuinely look forward to new videos and guides!
I couldn't agree more!!
This is an amazing video for starters. It is quite complete and explains each part of the process. Amazing job, mate. Really. You are, without a doubt, a great addition to the warframe community.
500hours in.. didnt even know you can search for specific parts in the codex relic section.. guess u never learn out.
David Konetzke yeah same here. I did find out, and wasn't really covered, that you can filter trade chat also if your looking for say "hydroid" parts, so that you don't see all the other things.
Whut the fuk? U can filter trade chat?
300 hours in and I just learned that today lmao
You can also search in the relic segment so that it only shows relics you currently own.
1400 hours in didnt know game had FoV slider untill last week
I never used codex, the wiki has all that and more.
Skill up, don't forget to set your idle animation. Fashionframe is the real endgame!
Just downloaded this game on my Nintendo Switch , thank you for summing this up really well. This really simplified everything for me since I used to play other games that require you to grind/ farm for rare items
your new to this and this helped me a TON. the codec with the relics info is golden
First :D
Edit: (after watching the video) this could also be a tutorial video for those veterans who came back after a while cuz back then they had an entirely different system. First warframe tutorial, great video. I remember back than when I started the game the prime access was for valkyr and I thought holy shit this is cool. And now I'm at a point I got her and yea it does feel satisfying to grind those prime warframes on your own :D
H
Still MR1, on Venus, still learning and reading, AND I DEFINITELY NEEDED THIS!!!! Not only you convinced me to play but have helped me plan ahead or given me insight.
TitaniumDragon the game will get harder.. Trust me on that.. and when it comes to you getting the Archwing you have to complete the whole of venus and mercury... just make sure you have completed the requirements to get to each planet.. and you will have to beat bosses before opening any gateway to a new planet.. have fun and good luck
I just beat The Jackal and will be doing the Howl of Kubrow Quest then Once Awake.
I got my Kubrow Egg but no Core because i dont have access to the resources :...(
I remember trying to wrap my head around rotations and stuff when i got back into Warframe, this guide does a fantastic job of breaking it down.
Subbing to your channel has been a great addition to my gaming experience, thanks Skill Up :)
Any other Warframe Vets just here for entertainment?
...maybe
Yep.. here for entertainment too.
Wouldn't call myself a "vet" but I definitely know about this and a fair share about the game.
Seraph Guardian yup
Yep
you offered a excellent guide to this, there was one thing that was left out i'd like to mention, if you run these with Strangers or friends, you can also pick from there Relics they run with SO long as you opened a relic yourself.
Already making guides i see lol. Good shit skillup!
the codex search feature for prime parts in around 8:23 is still quite new to some people, its quite unknown to even some players that had been sticking long with the game.
Good job for using that feature
The only thing i learned here is that you are very good to teach tenno stuff. Thanks for being awesome.
THANK YOU! really I thank you a lot for this video that did not take over 20 min to explain the key parts. Now I understand how the pools work and how to farm relics properly, thank you againa Skill Up! You are the best! Keep up the good work TENNO!
Nice coverage Skill up.
PS I Love you. 🤓
ily2bb
Skill Up if I could only "♥️" this 🙃
Your presentation is the best on UA-cam, what wouldve taken me hours of googling and forum scrolling on how Prime Grinding works....took me 15 minutes with your help.
This is something you learn day 1. How did you miss it?
I didn't learn that day 1 playing. I always thought Primes had to be paid for with real money. It took me about a week before I went "AHA". I now have about 800-900 hours racked up between both PC and PS4 versions.
PROBABLY the best warframe tutorial video I've seen in awhile. Thank you
You didn't mention that you can squad up with people running the same relic, so your odds of getting what you want at the end of missions goes up by 4x ;)
Thank you for being a voice of clarity and reason!
Your content has made me scheptical to the gaming industry in a good way and also made me question what I acctually want from games rather than what the gaming industry tells me I want.
( You give people the nescecary "tools" to better understand what quality is )
Sincerely, Stian.
5:20 Dude, those wings tho!
Archwings, things I'm grinding for right now
Can't stress enough how much I love this game.
Good job with the tutorial video man hope to see more
i love this video.
+Jayden Field Thanks mate :)
Going to give my friend this video
He just started 2 weeks ago
Really solid information with a great primer. Been playing since beta and don't see many videos that are this thoroughly informative about a subject.
How to get everything free in Warframe
1. be a UA-camr with over 100k subs
2.have zero hours in game
3.check your inbox for free things and skip over 300 hours of farming.
why do i feel like only noobs get mad over this lol
TriHard Cx lol I have 800+ hours in game but noobs don't care about that stuff they just wanna have fun
Do you know that things they get free it's just temporary stuff? All of them need to farm if want to keep with it
Vitor Santana Skill up got free warframes including the new ones, thousands of platinum, sandanas, weapons and skins from other players as soon as he started playing and he barely knew anything about the game.
You deserve a sub my man
Lol I was never early enough to only see the video in 360p. Well I'll be back when it updated enough to watch it properly.
Even though, I know how to farm prime parts, You're wordimg was explicit, and simple enough to understand and really grasp the sense of what we have to do in order to farm. Almost felt like a learned something new. 10/10
Thanks mate I really appreciate you.
Loved this video, started Warframe a week ago and enjoying learning about the game like this. Thanks man.
Skill Up. imho your next warframe PSA should be "How to trade and how to get platinum 100% free". what can be traded, where to trade, how to priced your items, what are wts, wtb, wtt and pc. who should you trade your stuff with.. and so on
Well its very good of you to make this video to help new players.
Had plenty of time to write an essay in the comment section tho lmao
Love this....i still know nothing of the added details of the game but this was EXTREMELY detailed and helpful....thank you
TL:DR you either use money, trade plat, or open relics. There i saved you 15 minutes
That's pretty easy for a vet to say, but as a new player I literally didn't know what those words even meant when I started, let alone things like void traces, derelict runs and warframe.market.
clickbait title LUL
Russel ᅚᅚ well you absolutely are getting him for free aren't you? Therefore, not click bait
game is always evolving and some features are remade. i didnt play since second dream was released and started playing three weeks ago. it took me a few days just to get up to speed and i still dont know quite a few things. some are pretty easy to understand, but how about efficiency? now that takes time.
I like this. I am trading a LOT in warframe.
Warframe market is the best thing to sell your stuff to other players :)
I wish you could sell rivens tho
Ogger wa bakadesu trading is endgame.
Nicholas Fitzgerald fashionframe is endgame.
Ogger wa bakadesu you absolutely can sell rivens to other players
You can trade rivens dudes
Wing0fSilver I think he meant trading riven on warframe market
First detailed review In sooo long, I have over a thousand hours, but it's still nice to see these kinds of things
1136 hours in and i didnt know you can search for items in the codex😂
Charles Orozco I think he hacked it. Lol I seems no one knew this, and we all know Skill Up doesn't know anything about this game. Lol. Jk
FINALLY! That's the video I have been waiting for. There was lots of useful info in there. I'm at MR8 and it was foggy for me this whole thing, about relics. Good video man, you got a subscriber. ;)
Warframe needs more console players imo
Console players need to get a PC
I agree
Uh, no.
@@collinbogunovich7312 I feel offended..
@@collinbogunovich7312 Well i cant afford one and im not abandoning my poor ps4 lol, No console people need to get a pc
Any prime? Like excalibur prime?
clasic Wf joke here! XD
See, I've been around long enough to get this meme :P
SpangeBab Excalibur prime impossible to get now.
Skill Up dammit, and I thought of joke for ages too
Nice meme >.>-b
As a new player thanks to you @skillup this was a very useful guide in helping me understand all my options as I have been confused from the start if I could grind them out or had to pay. Look forward to your next video!!
It is the most overpriced thing on the planet. Don't buy it. Ever. Wait for a 75% discount from the daily tribute to get platinum and farm for primes instead.
Not even 75%, 50% and buying parts for plat is better deal...
Well prime access exist for you to support DE so..... , you don't need to buy it of you don't want to
Jason Kent it may be there as a way to support the game but most of the time its a rip off when i can farm 2 derelict survivals and get all the relics i need or do a group search?
Da Voodoo the point is DE gives him stuff because he's a large youtuber he got invited onto the dev stream whereas a UA-camr with 2000+ hours gets nothing but guide of the lotus it's all about channel size not contribution to the game
Not a vet but iv been playing for quite a while now, this video is actually very well made bro, keep up the great work :) i specifically appreciate your tone and pace in the explanations, helps me help my friends who would otherwise just burn out if i tried to explain with my overkill enthusiasm XD
Video starts at 5:19
Shit thanks bud
*Limbo Prime is One Dapper Boi*
You should check the "invite" ingame chat channel and search for Radshares, it's a team of 4 people runing the same relic at Radiant level.
If everyone uses the relics in turn, the total chance of getting the item is still the same but it takes up to 4x longer and you have to deal with people ditching before using their relic.
does it still work in 2019?
I think so, but I'm not sure
I got ash prime for 30-50P
Good frame. Loki Prime is the best though.
I got mesa prime for 100p
the longer, the cheaper?
nope
take emberP, frostP and rhinoP
a_shio That’s because they are vaulted
I'm glad your finally making how to videos. I started this game when you did you're review because I have a similar taste in games as you and you made it seem so damn good. however, since then you've only done stream highlights (in terms of warframe anyway) and I haven't been able to watch them as I do not want to spoil the game for myself if I can avoid it. I plan to watch them when I get through those points.
I love your videos and your scripting is great, hope to see a few more of these types of warframe videos in the near future. keep up the good work.
Hehe im watching with 5 hours in the game
Awesome video as usual mate! You distinguished the options and reason for those options well!
2k+ Hours still mr 13
damn! and i thought i was going slow. a little over 1000 hour and MR16. i just don't build a lot of weapons or warframes. i only do that when i see one that interests me
SickHead I feel ur pain..
I know someone that's Mr 19 and has 6k hours
Thank you. I just started a week ago and you explained and have shown, as always, incredible information. Again, thank you.
Destiny 2 in less than a week!!!!!!! Wooooo
tas u mean destiny 2.0 the new dlc that nobody cares about ololoolllllllilololilolilol
GoldenFerrari778 hahahahhahahahahha hahahahhaha lol that game already has more presold sales than D1 has presales and Day 1 sales. Nice try fool
tas yeah on my screen it says dlc so I guess u understand now have fun with the next dlc pack
FUK YEA
GoldenFerrari778 I definitely will. Keep playing your heap of shit warframe.
You are right, I didn't learn anything new but it was still nice to watch your video and how fast you learn how Warframe works :)
Skill Up every shit in this game is Overpriced :D
Abra Kadabra Well don't buy them. Buying PA is for people that want to support the devs. There is trading if you want good cheap weapons, 10p for lex prime, 15p for paris prime, etc
Thanks to skillup, I've. Been playing warframe from a month now around 80hrs in. The second dream was a master stroke. It's good to have a UA-camr like skillup. (Unsalted). Keep it up man look forward to the next video....
free my ass
~~~
Yours Truly, a new subsriber.
Just wanted to say your videos are the reason I have started to play warframe. I only have around 5 hours in so far but I'm hooked. Lol
Thanks! I started warframe a week ago and I love it! I really want to get more warframes, so now I'll be doing that.
Been playing this game for well over 3 years now but I still keep coming back from time to time. The game is unlike any other and grinding feels rewarding. The community is great and the devs are interactive and constantly give out new content and features. Back then, I started just playing just for fun because it was f2p but I didn't really realize I'd be sticking around this long and being with this game through its ups and downs was great. I really hope more players come in now or come back considering how far it has gone since it was released. It's almost a way different game
Very solid video for new players. Can't wait to see your vids on augment mods/ builds
Thanks for this guide, I haven't understood how to get prime's since the changes a few months ago - this finally made sense to me :)
Great vid. I hope the market becomes more prominent on ps4. Thanks for the tutorial.
always enjoy your videos! your warframe videos convinced me to give it a try. love playing it now. i'm only 10 hours in but immensly enjoy time on it so far. thanks again.
Hi Skill Up,
Fairly clear video.
Loved the bit about the reality of a package being more about the Platinum and boosters rather than the frame and weapons.
I may wait for a discount weekend/booster and spend a few $ on Plat to help with my current weapons slot/frame squeeze.
Minor tweaks from my really new to Warframe point of view - is just to state clearly that you take the void relics that you've farmed/improved into Fissure missions that will state what type of relic they open and you need to look at the flame-thing in your mission director to see what Fissure missions are currently available.
So if the frame part you need is the chassis, its from a meso relic, then you need to find a meso fissure mission to run to pop it and get the chance at the chassis.
Thanks for the guide, lots of things I was curious about got covered and I know this will help me as I really start to get into crafting so I'm not just mindlessly hunting for relics & prime pieces.
I'm a veteran player but couldn't help but watch the video. You do a damn good job making warframe less complicated for explication then I do when telling friends, keep it up.
I just starting playing yesterday and I'm blown away. Can't believe it's a free game. I find it really good but at the same time really complicated for new players. That's why I thank you and your videos mate!
New video! I'm playing Warframe now! Thanks for the warframe video, still keep watching it. Love yer video :D
As a veteran player myself, it's nice seeing a video going over this topic, since I barely know how this works myself. Though I do hope as a fan of DE that some people still will buy the access packs to give back to DE for such a wonder full game. I've been buying the prime access packs since Nova prime came out, not so much for the Warframe and gear, but like stated in the video, the boosters, plat, and to give back to DE. I know the game can be played entirely for free, but I for one can't help but spend money to further it's development now that I have the money too. Heck, i wish I had they money to help them 4 years ago when I started playing while Excalibur prime was up.
