My story is similar but a bit different also...
I was the only male child so they were more strict on me. The girls child don’t get much attention but they have more freedom. Asian parent is not very logical, they told me that I have to work harder because I am a boy, so when I grow up I can take responsibility for the whole family, while the girl child can just go married off to some wealthy dude. So While my other siblings get to go out and have fun. I was stuck at home all day following order given to me by my parents. I was also not alow to talk back no matter what, EVEN IF THEY ARE WRONG. Anyway I’m in high school now, I hope I can get into a good college or else my parents will literally end me.
And That’s why I got this thing for freedom, if anyone try’s to take away mine then I will take away theirs.

And when I was first year, I got my first ever line of 7, which was 77 :( in first grading, but it became 80+ in 2nd grading.... and I was not an honor :(

My dad is a mixture of both of your parents.
When you do something (slightly) wrong he’s either gonna ignore you or yell the hole house down. And he says the same thing with grades as your mom. „Why isn’t it this? Why isn’t it that?“ And when I had my first panic attack he said „I thought I raised you stronger.“ He also had a tough childhood like your dad. And trying to discuss something with him is impossible. But other than that I am really happy about my parents. Especially my mom.

im also filipino but one time when i was in 5th grade my mom saw my freinds talking they looked exidet so my mom asked what they were talking about and i said they were going to drink bubbletea cause it was my freind cassandras bday my mom thinking i was all grown up ready to leave the she went infront of my freinds and asked if i can come they said yes and my mom told me that i can go i was so happy and she gave me my phone and called every 30 minutes let me tell you i never saw my mom be so nice to me she was strict so i said thankyou and hugged her
