Their new song is awesome as always and their new masks are on point too. Also, Chapeltown Rag came out a few months back and will be on the new album as well and it's definitely worth the reaction! Keep up the fire content 🤘🤘🤘
So Corey actually had a broken neck and didn't even know it. When this album released he actually toured after surgery and was wearing a neck brace. He is a legit mad man!! Also this music video was the trailer for "The Boys" tv show. It is also one of my all time favorite knot songs.
I would say that Corey is back and better than ever... the band has slightly evolved in their sound, but the roots are strong. Aggressive vocals mixed with melodic clean vocal cuts, the scratching and electronic sounds, machine gun drumming.... Slipknot will always be slipknot.... I will always cherish the self titled album with all the original members..... I actually find the newr slipknot to closely resemble Iowa.... what we are hearing is is cleaner technical work, less jumbled noise, better mixing, and hard as fkin ever... Yeah, I 100% agree with you on this. Been a maggot since early 00, and I've been positive with the evolution of the band also and even with so much fantastic music, Solway Firth stands as a fuckin' masterpiece among masterpieces.
This song came out a day before the album was released, which was also the day that I saw them for the first time(August 11, 2019) and they played Solway Firth for the first time live at that show(Tinley Park, IL) and it was amazing!!! I love this song and to hear such a heavy/passionate song at the front of the guardrail in the pit is an experience I’ll never forget. Also, The Boys is where the clips in the song are from and it’s an awesome show. Definitely recommend it💯🔥🔥🔥
If you haven't already listened to nero forte it's a really good song and another good one in my opinion that has a good Corey Taylor scream is a liars funeral
@@mutatednut It’s not a song that demands the most complicated drumming, though. It’s an exercise of knowing when to pull back and let less be more. That’s the difference between knowing the techniques of drumming and knowing how to play the drums.
That's my favorite song from this album (WANYK). Thanks to explaining why this is my favorite song, I won ticket to Slipknot concert and it was a wonderful time ^^
This is my favorite song on the album along with Orphan. It's probably my favorite song of theirs overall. I love that mechanical kind of sound that comes in over the drums.
You might know of Jay Weinberg's father Max, he was Conan O'Brien's bandleader on the Late Night show, he's also played for Bruce Springsteen for ages. Slipknot played Heretic Anthem on Conan when Jay was like 10 and he saw Joey and that's what inspired him. And now he's in Joey's seat which is goddamn wild.
it really is therapy for all of us... millions and millions of maggots really do use it for therapy... Thats why maggots are so strong we lean on each other and come together for each other.. we all need a ear or help sometimes and slipknot deff eases that for a lot of maggots
THEY’RE DROPPING A NEW ALBUM!!!! You to HAVE TO check out one of the songs that was released. The Dying Song (Time To Sing). I think you should also check out Alien Weaponry - Kai Tangata (the music video preferably) and Raupatu. They’re a Māori rock band. Don’t ask how a Mexican knows about a indigenous Polynesian rock band. Lol
Yeah, fuck, I'm happy. Favourite song. Favourite video. Favourite girl on YT. Seruously, favourite channel on YT now. This is a nice evening. Maggot 4 Life! The new song is also fuckin' fantastic. The show is The Boys, on Amazon Prime. Best shit in a long time. So brutal, thought-provoking, funny as fuck and a great take on the absurdity of the world, in its own way.
The drummer is jay Weinberg His father is Max Weinberg he was the drummer for Bruce Springsteen I believe and Jay is a badass on the drums I loved Joey and I love Jay's work in my eyes they are both Legends. You should do a reaction to orphan live drum cam it will blow your mind he's amazing as was Joey R.I.P my friend.
Jay Weinburg is no joke, absolutely a monster on the drums. I think ever member has injured themselves from headbanging and other stage antics. Sid shattered both heels at the same time from jumping off stuff for fks sake. Band absolutely goes all out on stage! No other concert compares to Slipknot!
Killer song, fucking rocked and I too loved how they synced those show clips with the music. Corey’s voice is on point here and (J) Jay Weinberg’s drumming kicked ass!!
I've been listening to slipknot since I was 10 ish. I saw them for the first time live last September in Chicago and I have to say I was blown away by how amazing they sounded it was actually better than the album. The show was incredible the vocals the instruments were on point and it was the best show I've ever seen I've been to tons btw. Corey is the greatest metal vocalist of our time imo
His name is jay weinberg and he’s been drummer of the year for i believe 3 years in a row now or 4 not too sure, but around that ballpark. he’s already solitified himself as one of the greatest drummers to ever live!

*Corey's been sober for years and quit smoking a long time ago too...so yea his voice sounds really good now. More like the first album, but different...in a good way tho. Love his voice. Corey has the best voice in metal in my opinion*
When you mentioned about Corey's neck, there is actually a story that Corey broke his neck in a fall when they were touring behind their first album back in '99 and he didn't even know until a few years ago in which I believe is what led him to have emergency neck surgery when they toured behind their 5th album The Gray Chapter. Something he talked about in an interview. I'm sorry I don't remember the exact interview but yeah, that's the only known issue with his neck.
The actors you see in the video, they're from a show by Amazon Studios. The show is "The Boys", few weeks ago Amazon dropped last episode from third season. Give it a try. About Corey's neck, he doesn't get his neck broken, it's too huge to break it hahaha. And the drummer, yes, is Jay Weinberg.

Yes, definitely watch the Boys. All 3 seasons are awesome and keep getting better! So happy when you react to slipknot. A great song from the Iowa album is My Plague. Also they're new one, Dying Song is pretty badass. Keep up the amazing vids!
During the .5 gray chapter era Corey actually was head banging with a broken neck, he ended up with a neck brace and changed his mask to be able to perform with the brace. Man’s had a broken neck but still performed
The show called The Boys on amzon. It's based on a graphic novel. The show is basically about what super heroes (think the league of justice) in the real world could look like if an outside group of people they have wronged (IE the relative of an innocent person they never show in the office building when Superman lets his laser eyes go) all got together and just decided to kill them.

They call him the neck for a reason 😅
I bet they had to melt down the floating plastic island in the pacific just to make his neck brace.

I don’t understand how people don’t like newer slipknot 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ great reaction!!
I know, right?! They've matured and there's been an evolution in their sound, but they deliver so fuckin' great every time.
Yeah, i love the new stuff, it's much more technical but you'll always get the 'BuT iTs Not IoWa' people 😂
True. It’s still great and different and still has the heavy metal hardcore bangers
