Bev, I think us weather starved Californians are always in such shock at the weather in other states. The rain is different and their thunder and lightning is different. When we do get rain I pull up a chair to the back patio and watch and listen. It’s mesmerizing! Even in the middle of the night if we are fortunate enough to get thunder and rain I will get outa bed and go watch it. I love it so very much.

I have that bread cookbook. I was a member of the "Cookbook- of- the -Month Club" back in early 1970's. I baked many loaves of bread from that cookbook. My daughter still reminds me of how nice the house smelled when she came in from school. She loved my home baked bread. Thank you for a memory revisited.

I think your idea about a bakers table and primitive cupboard is going to look so much nicer and be a lot more functional for you. I think people are starting to realise that unfitted kitchens are easier to work with, than all that built in cabinetry. The only item that is fitted in my kitchen is the sink.

Im odd too. I love loud thunder,lol. I live in California and we would praise the Lord for rain. We just got the letter, only can water once a week.. we have zero scape in front yard but hydrangeas in back yard. I hope we dont lose them and our roses this summer.

Bev, I think your kitchen is just perfect. I find it beautiful and the perfect size❤. The Island you can take the doors out and opened the back and maybe paint a darker color to display your pots. I would be less expensive than to take it out, try to match the wood etc. My kitchen too is white with black marble that has gold(the previous owner pick it). Not too bad. Not a fan of microwaves at all and would love mine out too. Will wait til economy gets better and prices go down to do any improvement. I do love when you ‘age’ any decor. Its magical! Love all the beautiful plates❤. Hope you get better. Im watching this video while recovering from lung cancer surgery. Life is good❤❤.Your videos are very calming and peaceful. Blessing😘.
I really like to look so the going is a treat. I liked some of the framed prints and the white bowl that was picked up. The item you purchased looks really good and useful too.
If you can add another cabinet somewhere giving you more surface space, an under counter microwave drawer can be added. I love my microwave drawer and I didn’t think I would.

Bev, my microwave was us up on a built in shelf. I’m only 5 1 and was always afraid of something spilling on me. When my microwave messed up, we decided to buy a drawer microwave and I love it. We got the smaller one because it fitted the size of 2 drawers in my cabinets. which was still a good size. The only thing my husband had to do was take out two drawers from my cabinet. He did buy some molding to put around the microwave so you couldn’t tell where the drawer was at. I have enjoyed it so much. Lowes ordered it for us as they don’t array them in stock. Everything looks beautiful. I so enjoy seeing you decorate. Have a good weekend. Pat in NC

In order to get a hood over your stove, you may want to consider an under counter microwave . I found one that holds a 14 inch dinner plate . Putting the microwave under the cabinet really opened up the space and made a huge difference . I hope it’s an option for you .
Hey Bev, the uncentered counter under the wall, I would center something above the counter top and then place something tall beside the window on the wall. That way each section of the wall is balanced. I’m sure you have thought of this, but this is what I would do sense I am OCD. Love your videos. All of them. Did you mean a French pastry table to replace the island? Yes, it would open up the room.
Is the rooster picture a relief? That corner looked beautiful after you worked your magic. It doesn't look like you added 'color' because almost everything is related to nature. Great trick.
I just thrifted a black & white damask lampshade that's the same size as yours, and I have a triangular empty corner in back of my kitchen sink. It would be perfect to simulate your brilliant kitchen decor. Thank you!.
