All those drummers will tell you John Wright from No Means No is one of the most influential punk drummers and they all look up and respect him. Especially Tre Cool.
Should have been called top 10 most popular punk drummers. Like many have said, drummers like Brooks Wackerman, Derrick Plourde, Dave Raun, Jordan Burns, Byron McMackin and Jord Samoelsky alone are better than the majority of the people on this list, purely from a technique and influence standpoint. Barker is flashy and certainly a great drummer, but maybe *about as* good as those guys, if that, definitely not better. Cool belongs there purely on his influence in the genre but he's good for endurance, not chops. I'd also put RJ Shankle (Strung Out) and Nicholas Angelini (A Wilhelm Scream) far above several of these guys
Uuuufff, so many missing, Brooks Wackerman, Derrick Plourde, Bomer Manzullo, RODRIGO ALFARO, who also sings at the same time, Marky Ramone, who may not be as skilled as most of the drummers in this list, but his right hand is faster than most of them using two, Jordan Burns, Jord Samoleski, Scott Golley, and a couple more. Also, why Paul Cook is on the list is beyond my comprehension, sure, he is not a bad drummer, but, is far from being among the best punk drummers in history.
Not to take anything away from some of these legendary drummers who helped define the genre, but the Fat Wreck Chords drummers of the 90s are about as good as it gets. I’ll put Jord Samoleski, Jordan Burns, and Dave Raun against any of these guys. Particularly those from their generation like Tre Cool and Travis Barker.
Jordan Burns 100 f****** percent my dude. Jordan Burns is the player I still try to copy today and he does so much crazy s*** timing-wise during his fills that I lose it every time. the master at triple to quadruple fills! Jordan is the f****** man the only person I know that can come close to him is Byron mcmackin from Pw Byron almost single-handedly brought that double kick sound with blaring Tom's all through Fletcher's Palm mutes and gave it that metal sound. Byron is very underrated as well
Byron, Jordan, Brooks! No particular order. All easily number one! At least Smelly, Bill, and Josh made the list. Sean from Good Riddance should be mentioned. Cmon.
Clash drumming was not great punk drumming. One good true punk album with good punk drumming 'The Clash' and Topper Headon (on this list) was not the main drummer on that album. Topper was more of that reggae, dub, post-punk Clash. Better UK punk drummers at the time were Rats Scabies of The Damned, Dave Ruffy of the Ruts (before they went too reggaeish like The Clash), and Brian Faloon or Jim Reilly out of SLF. These guys paved the way for other UK and USA punk drummers.
Cook and robo or steady but I would not call them good drummers not much technicality. really hoping to see Jordan Burns and Byron mcmackin in this list at one or two. if not you got your punk drummer game twisted homie 😂 Bill and smelly definitely deserved! to be on here though
C'mon we all knew who was going to the first.
All those drummers will tell you John Wright from No Means No is one of the most influential punk drummers and they all look up and respect him. Especially Tre Cool.
Tre cool 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
anjai orang indon
You forgot Derrick Plourde and Jordan Burns.
yep the 2 best for me
i'm consistently impressed with smelly from nofx. my favorite punk rock drummer.
I feel like the breakdown in bang bang describes tre cool perfectly
Tre cool = very cool 😎
ah masasi
Brooks Wackerman slays all of these dudes
Yep
Also Jordan Burns, Jord from Propapgandhi, Gordy from Frenzal Rhomb, Patrick from INK. All worthy to be right there with Josh Freese!
In high-school every garage band had a Travis barker drummer
you forgot DH from Dead Kennedys

Gordy from Frenzal, Patrick from INK, Casy Lewis from Belvedere, Chris Thatcher from Streetlight!
Lol Derrick Plourde and Jordan Burns better than half the people on this.
Saw this comment and decided not to watch. If Jordan Burns isn't mentioned this list is merely based on popularity and not skill.
Travis is number 1 for me. The guy is incredible
You forget Rory Koff from No Use For A Name.
Casey Lewis from Belvedere
Uuuufff, so many missing, Brooks Wackerman, Derrick Plourde, Bomer Manzullo, RODRIGO ALFARO, who also sings at the same time, Marky Ramone, who may not be as skilled as most of the drummers in this list, but his right hand is faster than most of them using two, Jordan Burns, Jord Samoleski, Scott Golley, and a couple more. chuck biscuits, lucky lerher, grant hart
oh this is going to be good
Topper is #1 without any doubt
Not to take anything away from some of these legendary drummers who helped define the genre, but the Fat Wreck Chords drummers of the 90s are about as good as it gets. who is Dave ?
Where's Stevo 32 from Sum 41?
Yeah! I agree, he's an amazing drummer, extremely underrated.
Robo?? You're be kidding me
Travis Barker all the way .... Period!👍🏼😎🙏❤️
Yes Travis the number one
What about George Hurley?
Change travis for scott raynor (firts blink drummer) for a fast skate punk blink182
Byron, Jordan, Brooks! No particular order. All easily number one! At least Smelly, Bill, and Josh made the list. Sean from Good Riddance should be mentioned. Cmon.
In terms of pure speed Byron McMackin has to be up there from Pennywise
I knew this list was bullshit when I saw Green Day, no mention of Spit Stixx of Fear, and you put Travis Barker over Earl Hudson.
I agree with Travis being number 1
Bomber Manzullo must not be left out 😢
Byron mcmackin from pennywise #1
Smelly #2
I don’t care what comes after these 2
Your list sucks.
Where is Ron Welty from The Offspring? He is the best drummer ever
Topper Headon could play all the others for breakfast......
Blink 182???? That trash is pop rock.
Pop punk
Skate punk
Where is dh peligrino
Paul Cook and Topper Headon??!!???........Seriously, if you're gonna have 1 token Uk 1st Generation Punk drummer then it can only be Rat Scabies.
Where the fuck is Tommy Ramone or at least Marky? They invented punk drumming!!!
Tommy ramone just for the honor because he created it all
But when it comes to skills he cant come in top 10
Marky can though
Derek Grant from alkaline trio is my favorite drummer hands down. Good list though.
Travis barker definitely belongs on this list but over tre cool????????
Bill Stevenson!
Duncan Redmonds from Snuff is and always will be the best drummer in punk rock
Where is Chuck fuking Biscuits?
Haha you know the list sucks when the following occur:
1. Tre cool is on there
2. Brooks Wackerman isn't on there
3. Erik Sandin isn't at least no. 2
im glad Smelly made the list cuz that dude can play. also had no doubt travis was first
Chuck biscuits
Lucky Leher
Felix Griffin
DH Peligro
George Hurley
Looks like I didn't get my vote counted

Disagree with Travis...and I would definitely have put Byron McMackin from Pennywise at first place
Cook and robo or steady but I would not call them good drummers not much technicality. really hoping to see Jordan Burns and Byron mcmackin in this list at one or two. if not you got your punk drummer game twisted homie 😂 Bill and smelly definitely deserved! to be on here though
How dare you call smelly by his real name
Travis barker is #1
Grant Hart
At least he got bill and earl hudson
the title is 10 amazig drummers if u put travis barker and tree cool in...
travis is a good drummer. tre, uh, not so much.
D. J. Bonebreak seems to be missing from the list. As is George Hurley, which is inexplicable. Not that these aren't all incredibly talented people.
Derrick Plourde is not in the list because he was the god and still
Tre cool should’ve been 1st.
agreed
And you my friend are dumb
Brady Ross Hatcher do you know who travis Barker is ? I thought not. Mate rethink your opinion
Trench agreed
No chance that spot belongs to Topper Headon
Get rid of Tre' Cool and add Brooks Wackerman in his place!!
American psycho isnt Danzig !
Che classifica oscena.. hai messo un sacco di chiaviche e non hai messo Jordan Burns o Byron McMackin tanto per dirne due… 👎
How is Trey Cool number 3? And that crap ain’t punk.
Ay will you shut the fuck up? Its pop punk, it has punk in there m8
Horrible list! Can't never forget Gordy Forman from Frenzal Rhomb ... he's insane!!
What a joke.
The worst list ever!!! Travis b thats it!!! Wow com on
buuuuuuuu traviz barker
First all, green day is not punk
Saying tre cool should be number 1 is a joke. he's good, but not anywhere near as skilled and creative as travis.
