I looove this desk! It has that chic French/Parisian feel to it. I think you might have to paint it? Maybe I'm wrong, but unless the trim pieces and legs are all the same type of wood, it might not stain to an even color. I would say the same for sealing it naturally as well, it's more like to look darker in different parts, or different shades of color. If that's not an issue then I vote for either natural, white, or maybe even a distressed white, or maybe a whitewash stain. Whatever you do I know it will look gorgeous!
The desk is absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to see how you built the drawers. I am in the middle of project and need drawers. Also, I love the light look of the desk next to your dark green walls. I think they compliment each other. Maybe just put a light clear coat and be done.
I really like it natural! I don’t have Instagram so that’s my vote. It’s really a beautiful color already and it also gives it that subtle “I built this myself” vibe.
I have often told people to trim out doors and drawers with picture frame stock. They usually look at me like I am from outer space. Great project. You done good again.
Great looking desk. Excited to see what it looks like when you decide on a finish for it. One thing I've found with edge banding is to rub it with a screw driver (or any smooth metal cylindrical object) to help get that glue into the edge of plywood well. I've had it come undone a bit when I've just used my fingers to rub it on.
This is beautiful! I just discovered you and binged all of your videos. You really inspire me to try to create rather than spend. Thank you! Please continue to do more videos!
Absolutely beautiful build! Very impressive the way you broke down the expensive version and built one just as amazing with inexpensive pieces. One minor note. Pocket holes should not drill into the edge of the wood, they should drill into the body of the wood. (so essentially reverse your side and back pieces) This is what gives them strength. two ways to fix the holes being visible on the 'outside'. Fill with dowels, filler, or pocket hole wood blanks then sand and finish, or double up with a thin (1/4 inch) backer that glues over the entire piece and pocket holes.. just want to make sure your impressive work lasts and lasts. thank you for the inspiration.
Very impressive! Now I have to say, I would attempt to try some of your other projects, but I always thought cabinetry/furniture making was a whole 'nuther animal and takes some really special skills. This looks much more complicated than any of your other projects. After seeing what went into making this, I can see why that Pinterest desk was so expensive. I'd say yours is much better quality. I hope you'll do a tutorial video on different tools for different jobs and which tools you prefer to work with and why.
OMG that was a crazy amount for the Pinterest desk, unless it came with a free personal assistant. impressive choice instead.i love your attention to detail.
Stefani! You are Amazing! The thought of making the drawers probably would have stopped me from going forward! excellent Job! I Vote to go Natural! Welp....You can always change it in a few years when we are seeing something different on stinking Pinterest.LOL
I am so enamored with your skills! Keep it going!! Excited to see what you do w the fixer upper. (Btw subscribed on personal acct on my smartTv, this my work acct lol)
I’m moving into a new apartment and I’m planning on building my desk, I’ve been searching for the right desk and just found it!! Thanks haha. I’ll be going with a dark stain for mine
Beautiful build! The only concern I’d have is the sharp external corners of the trim pieces below the center drawer. Bang a knee on one of those once, and you’ll likely teach yourself a couple new cuss words before you know it. 😬
Lovely video, satisfying and informative. However, I'd recommend you to tie your hair properly as I'd observed your hair falling on the glue you were using, and man I can't imagine the mess getting out of it
Dear, do not stand on your material. I know it is difficult but when there is a piece of stone, a screw, or nail under it you will dent your wood. I have had that and I did not like that. You desk turned out beautiful.
Hey! This is too dope. You most def have to put out more content. The skit at 1:20 is my fav. You have to really collab with the crazy UA-camrs Bad Friends. Their videos sorta reminds me of Vitaly mixed with Casey Neistat. Theyre the most hilarious group of friends in the world and they legitly do pranks on each other every time. Go check their YT out and give the group a subscribe! 👉 #BadFriendsInAmerica
Beautiful desk.. You are one of the best women diy on UA-cam. I love how you show step by step too. I wish I could learn how to woodwork like you❤

Amazing :)
You have some SERIOUS wood crafting skills ~ DANG !!!!
I've watched ALL your videos !!
Where did you learn all this 😳👍🏼
Great video as always!!! was wondering where can i find the chair?
Bravissima!!!
Can you post a link for the office chair?
Thank you for doing this!!! I loved the Collette Desk as well but the 2k price tag is a little much! I’m def going to try this diy!! ❤️❤️
Beautiful build! The only concern I’d have is the sharp external corners of the trim pieces below the center drawer. Bang a knee on one of those once, and you’ll likely teach yourself a couple new cuss words before you know it. 😬
just a random question, please. what's the type of the wood that has been used ! how much does it cost !
Very nice. Thanks for the inspiration. :-) NEW subbie!
how solid are the legs, they seems to wiggle little bit
when you touch the table?
1/2 in is enough?
how to make the drawers ?
you need a workbench and an assembly table
You need to buy another cordless drill, one for drilling and one for screwing, it saves so much time not having to change bits.
next project should be a small work bench.
👍🌹❤
Lovely video, satisfying and informative. However, I'd recommend you to tie your hair properly as I'd observed your hair falling on the glue you were using, and man I can't imagine the mess getting out of it
If you painted this white, and distressed it, I would I swear you got it from a Pottery Barn catalog.
Id leave it like that .no paint.
circular saw

The desk looks beautiful, but I must admit that I cringed at your leg attachment method.
I was wondering about that-could you please explain a less cringe worthy way to attach. It is a beautiful desk :)
Looks like you need to build a work bench. Instead of doing everything on the floor.
now we know furniture are priced too high
