I've only been watching you for about 1 week, and this has been my second week in my Auto Detailing. Thanks to you, today I got my first Full Detail job for $300.00. Thanks, and please don't stop making these exceptionally useful videos.
hey bud I've been detailing for 15yrs and I think ur spot on.👍great job. I charge 50$hr for most jobs.sometimes more depending on job.keep up the good work and vids.
One of the only guys that isn't afraid to say how much they charge . It really helps out a lot of the new guys getting into the business, of course not everyone charges the same because there are so many factors. But we get to see a guideline of how you go about you're business without assuming prices and possibly scaring off customers. Good vid !
Great vid, excellent points. Im not trying to go into business for myself for minimum wage. I think the average person looks at a detailer like squeegee man from down the street until they try to clean the car themselves. Plus people that dont truly care about their car wont see the worth.
I charged like $150 for an interior detail about 2 weeks ago for an 06 charger. came out great but dang I spent a good chunk of the day on it..maybe you can give me some pointers, I would appreciate it. Thanks
Facts! It all boils down to quality, and the customer service they will receive. Not to mention the lower end detailers use THE worst chemicals. One question Are you certified with any ceramic coating companies? If so how’s it working out, I’m in the application process myself. Happy detailing!
When you start out it’s tough price wise but customers are paying for peace of mind. They’ll pay more with all but a guarantee they’ll be happy. Low risk.
People who say it's too expensive or you're charging too much, have never done a business plan and have no idea what a marketing plan is. In order to start a reputable business, there has to be a business plan in place with heavy research in a marketing plan.
To be honest, I've never written a business plan or marketing plan.. At least not an in-depth plan lol. Although it's always recommended to have a game plan to execute!
Service is Senior to selling I have found. People make the price to much of a issue, its the service they are paying for, so if you believe in your product and your service then don't be afraid to charge what you believe your product is worth!
People pay what they think you are worth. Two detailers can service the same customer have the same tools, same products and produce the same results and still get paid differently. I'm not the one to bring race into it, but I have rarely seen any black, brown or Hispanics get paid the same as Europeans. It has nothing to do with the work, but everything to do with who's doing the work. This isn't just in the auto detailing business, but most businesses across America.
There are so many variables when it comes to detailing a car, truck xyz! People that do a great job get paid for what they do, how they act and the final results! Detailers (professional) should in my opinion stick to what they beleive in when it comes to $!
Ok now that had to be the best to the point sharing of knowledge that I've seen in a while!!💪👌 if one can not understand the reason for price fluctuation from business- (A) to business- (B) I mean it's just a excellent breakdown 👍👍
i dont know about the US market but in my country the basic exterior HAND wash. on car wash shop costs 5-6 euros(4usd!!!!1).....and exterior hand wash and basic vacuum interior both 10-12 euros(8-10usd!!!!!!!)................noone mobile detailer can competite this prise. And there are thousands of hand car washes on every corner and the 90% of popylation in my country lives in apartment blocks!!!!
The first job I ever did i charged $300 for a AIO on an Audi. That was last year and now my prices start at a grand and go up from there. I'm a good bullshiter
1) Look at what others are charging in your area. 2) is everyone that calling you telling you "yes" because your prices are low? 3) If you raise you prices, are you losing out on a lot more customers and making less money?
i want your opinion........... anyone in youtube and forums asking how to charge more, how to raise prizes, why they cannot charge more money..................... but NONE is asking himself(including me..in myself) if the ir detail quiality is worth the extra money. If you want to charge more , no one ask if can improve his skills, or his methods or the results he produce to the customer.....all just ask how to make more money....with no extra work, no extra quality in their results................ . do you notise the same???.or it is just...me????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks a lot Donnie!
Hey Donnie, how did you come up with that rate? Curious about all the inputs to that decision.
@@nldmaster charge what you realistically value your work at. If you do the best job in your area, charge accordingly.

Haha thanks a lot! Trying to do my best to help others out :)
Well said. Amazing how people can’t understand how the service industry works. Price isn’t always everything.
It's all about the value!
Great vid, excellent points. Im not trying to go into business for myself for minimum wage. I think the average person looks at a detailer like squeegee man from down the street until they try to clean the car themselves. Plus people that dont truly care about their car wont see the worth.
Very true!

What do you need help with specifically?

At this time, I am not certified. I also don't do to many coatings at this moment- so can't give you too much advice there!
10:34 Exactly! I charge $120-$200 just on interior.
When you start out it’s tough price wise but customers are paying for peace of mind. They’ll pay more with all but a guarantee they’ll be happy.
Low risk.
Amazing video! The value in it (pun intended) it's incredible. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and knowledge. Very much appreciated it

How do you know if your charging too little?
1) Look at what others are charging in your area. 2) is everyone that calling you telling you "yes" because your prices are low? 3) If you raise you prices, are you losing out on a lot more customers and making less money?
dobby 08
