A fabulous performance on a magnificent sample set, Christopher. Your playing is crisp and the energy you invest in this Praeludium (whoever the composer might be!) ensures a totally captivating experience for the listener: bravo!
A beautifully robust and commanding performance of this work, Christopher! The sample set is perfect for the clarity required in this music, too. Bravo!
Thank you, Paul, for your generously kind words. As for the sample set, it's not the biggest of them all, but it is certainly enjoyable for this type of literature, indeed. Take care.
A very nice and true 'Stylus phantasticus' rendition. Very fitting to this sample set. Well done, Christopher. By the way, the authenticity of this piece regarding Bruhns is doubtful. It's most likely Arnold Matthias Brunckhorst composed it. Not that it matters much, because I just love this piece.
That was a new one! Stylus phantasticus. You're too generous, Ralph. But, thanks, nevertheless for your support and enthusiasm. I do really appreciate your thoughtfulness and historical perspectives. :)
Wonderful - thanks for sharing. Ménestérol is a beautiful sample set and deserves to be heard more. As a bonus, it's also very reasonably priced :) Really enjoyed your interpretation of this anyway, and I must learn some Bruhns at some point! Thanks. Edit: I meant to ask, is this the wet or "moist" variant? Sounds like the wet to me, but I'm just curious
Hi Ed. Thank you for your nice note. The set I'm using is the Surround 6 and I've not added any reverb to it. I'm happy to share the settings if you want to send me a quick note using my email addy on my YT profile. Also, your channel is amazing! You are incredibly gifted and I sincerely love your playing.
@@christopherglenn3240 Hi. Ah I see - I didn't realise it had been updated. I'm still using the version I got in 2019 with 3 seperate sample sets for the three perspectives - I'll download the new version with the mixer and ping you an email to ask about your settings. Thanks so much for checking out my channel and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Really looking forward to future uploads from you!
It's a piece I started working on a 2 years ago, I shall be mâture enoygh to play it now. Bravo for the performance Christopher !
What a gorgeous piece, and so beautifully performed. I only ever learned one Bruhns piece and that was the little E minor. You are inspiring me!
