A brilliant performance with wonderfully crisp articulation, Christopher, of this splendidly engaging 'Prelude and Fugue' by Johann Kellner. The sample set of the Matthijs van Deventer-organ at Nijkerk affords this music such dynamic clarity - it really is an aural feast of sheer delight: B R A V O !
Thank you, Alejandro. It's so lovely to hear from you. I appreciate your kind words. I found the score on IMSLP in the public domain. I'm sure you could do wonders with this music.
An absolutely stunning performance, Christopher! Thank you for bringing Kellner’s music to my attention and your dazzling playing of this stupendous music is captivating from beginning to end. Bravo, sir!
Thanks, James. I appreciate your comments. This was the first of Kellner's work that I came across. He doesn't have a ton of organ music that I've found but I'm definitely interested in finding more. I found that the patterns he used weren't as predictable as I have found in similarly constructed music of Buxtehude or Bach, but it was a fun piece to learn overall.
Thanks for this wonderful performance ! I'm trying to listen to as many pieces by J P Kellner, as i can find on YT. I am still trying to settle in my mind if he is the actual author of BWV565. Interesting that this piece doesn't offer as many parallels as some others by him.

Thanks for the treat! Wonderful playing, Christopher. It is my first time to hear a work of Johann Peter Kellner.

Very impressive prelude and fugue. Mr Keller had wonderful pedal skills and polyphonic mastery. Bravo Christopher!
Thank you for your enthusiasm and kindness! This was my first piece to learn of Kellner and I hope to find and play others.

Thanks, Paul! I appreciate your enthusiasm and support. This was a new composer for me as well and now I'll have to check out more of his works.
Bravo Christopher - what a great performance of a work that is completely new to me!
Thank you, Jerry. It was a fun piece to learn and I hope to discover more of his music as this one intrigued me. I hope all is well with you. Cheers.
Lovely phrasing and tempo, a neat performance! And thanks for the historical insight that you've provided in the description.
Thank you for your nice comments. I appreciate your thoughtfulness.
Bravo! This is a highly skilled rendition and a pity not more people play Kellner. I’ve only played the Prelude in C which sounds very classical.
