A mod maker broke down why none of the creation club has voiced lines and it boils down to if they did it for english they’d need to record lines in the other available languages too so they just opted to not have it rather than going through all the work
They could just reuse the old lines from FO3
And now mod authors are toying with the idea of making custom AI voice lines for their projects to compensate.

That would require getting permission from Bethesda to do it, and it would likely cost money. A lot of money. Thats why modders tend to not rip audio from the other games, and why mods that do get deleted.

If they use the ai voice it could technically be an "actor" as it's not using the original files wich is what Bethesda truly cares about. I like to think he's chilling with Harold in that beautiful forest, bringing entertainment and peace to the miserable old half-ghoul/half-tree. Also, if that girl who was his friend in FO3 was at least 8 years old at the time then by 2287 in FO4 she'd be 18+ years old so if she's still around then Three Dog being naked is fine. Maybe they even hit it off despite Three Dog probably being twice her age or older and maybe Harold managed to conduct the ceremony lol

It's a shame that this entire creation was "inspired" by the CW mod when they were about to post a recreated scene of going to GNR from Fallout 3 but due to the voice acting situation they weren't able to publish it
@@Toasted-Cat with that and Bethesda snatching up the cw and nv modders makes it pretty clear they don't take kindly to people making much better content for free
because CC content is made by mediocre modders who only do it for a quick buck they have zero talent and just want money
Modders are literally the ones making the Creation Club content. It's a great way for modders to get paid for their work. The Capital Wasteland GNR Creation was created by fadingsignal, Elianora, and Kris Takahashi. Bethesda is only involved a little bit.
@@cyantheman5364That's a pretty stupid take considering how much Bethesda does to encourage modding in their games. The Creation Kit, which was made by Bethesda for modders, is THE tool that allows for so many mods to be created for their games as opposed to other companies games which don't have ANY mod support. Also Bethesda creating a platform that is included directly in their games and on their website which allows users to mod their games from the main menu. No other game company is THIS encouraging of their users messing with their games. Not to mention them creating ways for mod authors to be paid for their work, I think you should cut them a little bit of slack.
at 22:40 that's all the fallout 3 concept art done by Adam Adamowicz who also worked on the concept art for Oblivion, Skyrim and even early in Fallout 4's development. unfortunately he died from lung cancer in 2012. they made a really nice mural for his work here.

@@unoriginalperson72 Not to sound like a fanboy but Argonians had breasts in TES Arena and Daggerfall, lost them for Morrowind and Oblivion, and then regained them for Skyrim and ESO; The vanilla ending of Fallout 3 isn't any more contrived than the others, when the entire point of the game was the overseer domineering your life and even saying that everyone would be born in the vault and then die in the vault, just like how the Overseer kicks you out of Vault 13 because "people might copy you," or that Benny decides "Let me shoot this guy once and not bother to check him for a pulse;" and I don't think any Fallout games had the core premise of "Technology bad," when it seems that technology typically is what drives the plot, whether it be a water purifier, dam, or the Institue/Brotherhood, both of which you can finish 4 with.
I do think the creation club is totally stupid though.

If you don't sacrifice yourself in the end of fallout 3 the game narrator called you selfish and a coward which is completely ridiculous because you'd want to use the people who can't die from radiation than the ones who can. As for argonians the artstyle changes every single game and I belive that for oblivion and skyrim they just didn't want to make new models that morrowind had so they just retconned multiple subspecies into the game to write out their laziness. Elder maxwell in 4 seems adamant on repeating that technology bad and unnatural like a Conservative parent talking about gay people and just keeps talking about the institute being destroyed because robots are bad and mean!
Far Harbor costs 15 bucks atm. They want to tell me that this cell recreated from Fallout 3 alone with a few items is worth half of the entirety that is Far Harbor? Are they mad?
The whole creation club is so stupid as a concept, why don’t they just instead make a new canonical dlc or extension for these games instead of trying to flog players with this minor and low effort BS, people would be much more appreciative and willing to buy it!

The problem with that is that the mod makers aren’t really allowed to do that directly for legal and copyright reasons and the financial model doesn’t make any sense. Why would I ever pay for a mod when the community can create something of equal or higher quality for free? I mean Bethesda is barely able to get people to pay for this crap and they literally both MADE the game and are a corporation able to stop and track people down for piracy.
When your a mod maker you don’t have either the advertising power to get substantial enough / consistent sales and people will pirate your stuff and give to others for free. I mean you literally give them the files for download, what’s to stop them from from giving them to other people, and why in the world would they not do such a thing?
Plus on top of all of this there really isn’t a site or online infrastructure for people to do this kind of thing on both safely and easily which is another factor

one note, when I played this mod, I was on survival and the Auqa Pura doesn't even help your thirst.
also if want, you should check out the free mod, the team recreated the fallout 3 DLC Point Lookout in fallout 4! and it is spot on from the original!
And have you noticed how most of the really awesome mods have almost all been cancelled around 75% and the modders hired by Bethesda?

The robot models are in the Fallout 4 vanilla game. You just usually find them in their boxes first and you have to activate them to turn them into models.
They're also a bitch to decorate with because they constantly fall over and glitch through tables.

There’s another Creation Club mod that adds a creative mode for base building, and it includes this GNR plaza as somewhere you can build. A good reuse of assets at least I guess, although none of them are really worth it.
At least this one has a battle and new world space though, a lot of the CC is just “Here’s a Skyrim sword or BFG, have fun”
@ML I grabbed mods that unlock the CC stuff that’s in your install anyway. It’s fun to be able to RP as Doomslayer or blast raiders with a Quake gun with official mods, but not worth the prices Bethesda wants to charge. If they were free or $0.99 I could justify it, but there’s no free mod competition on console so you get a single somewhat neat dungeon for $7 instead.
We don't want to hire new voice actors or bring the old ones back but we can!
Idc on the weapon front, I want all of Fallout 76's new weapons ported over to Creation Club. They have the means to do so with the assets being identical between the two games. Want to enjoy all these weapons in Fallout 4. 🙂
The Skyrim sword and a helmet are a staple of most of my melee playthroughs though. +1 Strength and endurance from the helmet is pretty sweet. Along with the donut shop DLC where you can make a crap ton of Skyrim style sweet rolls, it's just fun. Any of the other crossover stuff is really out of place though.
That BFG is the only CC I've bought and man is it disappointing. A glowy rocket launcher; not at all the room clearing, swarm swatting fail-safe we know and love.

"Soulless" describes these content packs well, and not to deride them arbitrarily. They are an uncanny experience, somehow invasive.
As long-time fans we've had our share of teasing Bethesda for their Horse Armor packs. It stings, though, because their expansions such as Bloodmoon, Shivering Isles, Mothership Zeta, and others add so much. These smaller packs almost take away from the game. Free, user-made mods of similar scale have more depth, more novelty, and better integration with the game.

With the next gen update planned for this year and the recent files that appeared in a Steam depot update, Creation Club will certainly be back to give the same treatment to New Vegas.
Also, they included the scrapped night vision goggles, which is weird.
Also also, to clarify for anyone curious, the New Vegas in Fallout 4 demo is actually an unrelated mod called Project Mojave that adds parts of the Mojave in the style of this creation club, while F4NV is the remake project.
to be fair if weapon modding and armour modding added it wouldnt surprise me if NV goggles are redundant especially with NV scopes etc

I just want all of Fallout 76's exclusive weapons, armor, & many features & settlement items ported over to Creation Club so FO4 players can enjoy them all. 😃

Honestly, I'd love it if they were to make an anniversary edition for fo4 like skyrim. I don't want to buy each creation individually, its too expensive.

I really prefer videos like this over the big spending-spree "I bought every [thing] in [overpriced in-game shop]" ones. It's much more entertaining to watch you engage with a piece of content than being reminded that you can waste 80 € on a house without dungeons.

I think it went over Mickey's head, but the text implies that this Goodman character is the stranger outside of Megaton in DC in 2277 during FO3 who is begging for water, whom if you refuse to give any water will later be found dead outside of Megaton. So this Creation Club content basically brought THAT random character into FO4 via this content and made him become a DJ it would seem. Which is interesting, given in our reality in the US there's a 'homeless man with a golden voice' who may have been a DJ before but ended up homeless but got discovered and became a viral individual online several years ago then allegedly got back into being a DJ. So yeah, from homelessness to DJ has happened to at least one notable person in our reality that a number of people are aware of, and yeah his voice is amazing.
Actually he always dies after being given irradiated water from the rogue children of atom in the town outside of vault 101.

Didn't expect to learn two Irish language facts (almost called them lore, lol)
The river is the Potomac, I lived in DC growing up so it was always funny to play FO3 and see the liberties Bethesda (who was, unsurprisingly, a local company based originally in Bethesda and then in Rockville MD) took with the game in terms of city layout for their alternate timeline. Overlaying the real world map onto the FO3 map, there's a blasted tree where my house would technically be.
Also a funny thing is DC is a fairly hilly city irl but it probably would have been really hard to model the slight incline of most streets in game given the physics engine and how they'd have to sink lots of models partly into the ground and all that.
I know he said a month ago in the community tab he was ok but really I hope he's not over doing it and getting burnt out. Micky is so much fun

I like that this mod _really_ highlights how fucking stupid the Gunners are: Being shoot-on-sight, rather than waiting to see if Sparrow has the caps to hire them, as their lore suggests she should be able to do.
Lore: The Gunners are a militant group of mercenaries willing to take just about any job for the right price, who value over-powering technology for it’s uses in defense and making caps. They’re highly intelligent, resourceful and tactical.
Gameplay: Raiders with shinier guns.
Real disappointed that there was never an option to work for, or at the very least employ the Gunners throughout the game. With the exception of MacCready, but you don’t meet him until after he’s left the Gunners.

so, that point about having an in tact world in fallout 3 is something that happened with skyrim too. My evidence for this was revealed thanks to the "live another life" mod where you can start as a homeowner in whiterun without having to kill mirmulnir first
If you own the house before the whole alduin in helgen segment, then go back and trigger it (which makes the guards lock off whiterun) you get a dialogue option to tell them to let you into the city because you own a home, and they actually have voiced dialogue responding to it. The voice lines aren't a part of the mod, they aren't chopped together and they don't come from elsewhere in the game, you owning a house before alduin shows up was a planned eventuality in the game but that part of the story got cut.

25:55, when you get frozen like that, don't load a save. You can actually fix it by spamming the pause button, where it will teleport you into the seat when you are stuck. This includes power armor, computers, and anything that takes control of your character to put your character in a specific spot.
This creation club also adds settlement objects from the Capital Wasteland, I think.
There are two mods for Fallout 4 related to New Vegas that people tend to mix up, but it's all in the names.
There was Project Mojave, which was bringing the area of the Mojave to Fallout 4 and set during Fallout 4's time period. It had a smaller scale / demo version released, with no voice acting and only a few areas like The Strip and Nipton. It was unfortunately abandoned, as the creators moved away from the mod scene, but I'd love to see you check it out regardless!
Then, there's Fallout 4 New Vegas, which is building up the entire story of New Vegas pretty much from scratch in the engine of Fallout 4. All new voice acting, new models for outfits and weapons, bringing back the New Vegas level up and perk system, adding back in all the RPG elements. But it's still very much in the works and doesn't really have a demo or an ETA or anything, it'll just be done when it's done.
I feel like there should have deadlines so games or mods shouldn't be stuck in limbo for years but I also think the deadlines should be reasonable say 4 or 5 years and not mere months like most games nowadays which causes them to be horrible buggy messes
@@unoriginalperson72 What you've got to understand is that mods like Fallout 4 New Vegas are unpaid, and while there are many people contributing, people have other stuff going on. They still have jobs to do and lives to get on with, so just slapping an arbitrary deadline on there isn't going to solve anything. It'll just cause unnecessary stress and probably cause the project to be cancelled if / when they aren't able to meet it.
It didn't help that these projects were happening around the same time as the changes to Nexus that made a lot of modders assmad enough to delete their entire published work and break many players' ability to properly troubleshoot or reobtain mods.
I'm disappointed Project Mojave got canceled I was super interested in that one, cuz it would've been cool to see the teams take on the Tunnelers who I think are supposed to be attacking the mojave around the time of Fallout 4

Hard disagree. The skill system was horrendously broken after Fallout 2. Fallout 3 and New Vegas were very obviously a transitional period. When you can have a 1 Charisma 1 Intelligence character with 100 Speech talking down the big boss in both games, that's just ridiculous. The Fallout 4 system actually ties your ability to do something to the given stats of your character.
If you've havent, try playing 3, NV, and 4 with VATS only for combat. I do not manual shoot in Fallout 4 anymore, whereas the only tangible benefit of 3/NV VATS is just a massive/decent damage reduction while in the mode. And if you have, I dont see how you can come to the opinion that "NV was actually a 100% RPG while 4 is just shooter kiddy call of duty." I'm being hyperbolic with that but you get the idea.
I honestly think a lot of the Creation Club stuff is pretty cool and fun, as long as you don't pay for it 😉

There really is a problem in extra content like these (and mods) where the creator just places a crap ton of enemies and calls it a day. No care for interesting gameplay just spawn a bunch of NPCs and have them smash together in a space.

the "Tunnel Snakes Rule" one is genuinely good. It's one of the few CC content where it makes sense for there to be no voice acting. And a character from Fallout 3 returns!
It's decent, but all CC content is overpriced. Never worth unless they are discounted or free. I did get that one discounted and don't regret it, can't say the same about some other packs.

@@natetete1379 Not every CC item has a free mod alternative. Not every free mod alternative is as good in quality. Of course some mods are better alternatives but that's not always the case. Additionally, what is better can vary from person to person. I generally prefer a lightly modded experience and often find that mod alternatives change the game too much and have a lot of feature creep I don't want in the game.
That said, basically every CC item is overpriced and that is the main issue with them not that they cost money. I don't have any issue with small amounts of extra content being sold as long as it is reasonably priced. CC is not reasonably priced unless it's discounted and even then some stuff is still overpriced if you compare to the price range of the DLCs based on the amount of content you are getting for the price. Personally, I have bought very little CC content for this reason. Wasn't until Skyrim LE bundled it all together for $20 and fixed some issues with it that I thought they were finally offering it at a reasonable price for that game.
Many AAA games these days are poorly optimized for PC. Consoles can be cheaper, more convenient to use, and don't require technical knowledge to setup/build. I'm not auguring that consoles are necessarily better, just that there are reasons some people chose consoles. If you reply to me in a condescending way I won't reply.

I hope you mention that some of the CC items in FO4 legitimately break your game. So far the game breakers seem to be:
Tunnel Snakes
Space Man Power Armor
X-02 enclave power armor
Tesla Cannon
Probably some other pieces. Very frustrating that Bethesda was cool with selling content that messed up your game, especially if you were a dude playing on the ps4 that didn't have access to proper mods to fix said issues meaning that you had to uninstall then reinstall the game.
