I just got
A 84B all original wood grips one owner . He bought it long time ago new and his kids didn’t want it . I walked into the store first day they put it out . It was Imported by Berben imports ny ny for beretta . Over 40
Years old and not a scratch or chip on frame . I honestly thought it was a dream .
Honestly I love the look of those wooden grips
Thanks! 👍🏻
Found a very nice M85FS with the wood grips some years back. It was at a good price, and I grabbed it. It is almost too nice for a carry piece, but I do shoot it. Thinking of picking up a M84 to keep it company.
I do think it looks great. I love the look of these blued/walnut pistols. I’ve got the 84b, .32 Tomcat and .22 Bobcat. All beautiful!
Same except the 32. Need to get one.
Just picked one of those 85s up myself love it also. Just discovered your channel and saw this video big fan of the wood grips I bought myself a set love it keep the videos coming
I bought same wood grips from e-bay. They really make my 85BB look good. I had no trouble at all put on my 85bb.
Beautiful piece! I have the model 84BB which takes the double stack mags. I love mine too!
Thanks brother! Very nice! 💪🏻
My father had one just like this one, it already had the wood grips and two mags in the original case. We found it in his closet after he passed.
Did the same with my Cheetah 84fs, that walnut wood on blued metal gives it a classic look and feel.
Hello to you,
Just found this clip. A absolutely beautiful pistol to begin with, and now just great with the new grip. I always keep my eye open at my local gun store, hoping to see this gem in the case.
Be well
I purchased one of these surplus Beretta 85 and put some wood grips on. It's one of my favorite carry pistols now.
Very nice, brother! 👍🏻💪🏻👊🏻
Beautiful
Great video. I like the look. I ordered one from Classic last night and plan to put the same grips on it. I bought the 81 .32 from Classic in 2019 and will look for the same grips for it.
Thanks for the video my man. Mine came in exelent like new condition. Few tiny nicks in the aluminium, I touched them up with your help and bought these grips. Thanks again for sharing!
You’re welcome brother! Appreciate it! 👍🏻👊🏻
Looks great !! I just picked my 85BB up on Friday. I plan to replace the plastics grips with wood as well, gives it that classic look !
Thanks brother! Love that old school classic look!!!
I think I'll get walnut grips for the 85bb I have . Very helpful
Beautiful Beretta...❤
Very nice!
Nice!
Got my 85bb from DK Firearms in Bowling Green Va. Its my carry gun and its one of the best buys I've ever made.
I love mine!!! 👍🏻💪🏻👊🏻
Beretta sure makes some purddy stuff.
Yes indeed!!!
Just picked up a Beretta refurbished 85BB. Gave it a good cleaning. Beretta seems to have given it a quick once over before boxing it up. One of the mags had a nice collection of lint balls in it. The gun itself is pretty impressive. Kind of like a mini 92. Smaller than a 92 Compact. It's well balanced, fits the hand nicely, and looks very classic and stylish. I wish it had a decocker. I'll keep my eyes open for an F or FS model. I have an 81 that is the double stack .32 ACP. Not a whole lot of difference in thickness. I've left the plastic grips on mine for now.
I bought one from Classic as well and it is Cherry. Also a couple mags from DK. Both came real quick. Grips look noice!
Very nice! Congrats on the score. Thanks brother!👍🏻💪🏻👊🏻
Looks very nice with those wooden grips.
Thanks brother! 🤙🏻
One note. Before you start to remove grip's screw, tide them little more, clockwise, to lock grip bushings. Then you can unscrew grip's screws. This is reacquired in case grip bushing are loose, you will unscrew them together with grip screws.
Thanks for the info! 👍🏻
Nice tip thank you.
I love mine.
I got one from Classic .. no hand select , just took a chance and it looked basically new.. I am impressed.. it has become one of my favorite pistols
Congrats! Yes, mine has become a favorite as well. Ordered some ammo a few days ago and can’t wait to get it to the range!
I ordered a hand select from Classic last year based on the reviews I have seen. Mine was in so bad condition, especially after getting a hand select model, that I had to send it back.
@@jalcanites2939 that sucks.. I have heard a lot of stories like yours. That’s really too bad. I would order 2-3 more if I could be guaranteed they would be in the condition of the first one but from the sound of it I got damn lucky. It was a new pistol.
Possibly un fired. I love it.
@@guaporeturns9472 I actually called them when I was at my FFL. They could not guarantee that the next one will be better. And I paid extra for it.
@@jalcanites2939 that’s lame
Where did you get those grips? Looks great! Do grips from the model 84 and 87 fit the 85bb?
Just ordered one
follow along, that's a great unit
Looks great that's a keeper!
👍
Absolutely Beautiful.
Did you order grips and screws from Beretta, or did you get them from someone else?
Anyway, very nice.
Got a link/part number to where you ordered the grips/screws?
Nice piece and fortunately for you, because classic official sold out of them
I'm digg'n it.
Thanks!
Very nice gun. I have one and the action is absolutely the smoothest of any semi auto I’ve ever felt.
I had to laugh when you spoke of the grip screws getting damaged due to someone using the inappropriate size tool to turn them……then you break out your handmade….and obviously wrong size…..screwdriver and start hammering away on that fine firearm.
Let me suggest you look into a Brownells screwdriver kit made for firearms that probably won’t cost as much as the grips you put on the 85…..and they will fit perfectly every time !
No more bunging up your own gun….lol.
It’s a very nice example that’s had more than a magazine or 2 through it…( the rails don’t show that kind of wear after 8 rounds !!! )
But simply because it’s had it’s share of rounds through it is no reason not to be very proud of it !
Nice find….enjoy !
More beautiful than my wife's jewelry.
Haha thanks brother! 👊🏻
That does look 👀 awesome think 🤔 about getting one ☝️ but the Double stack ☝️
Oh yeah! The model 84 is nice!
More cool
How much was the gun itself? Looking for a 84FS. Thanks
What was that green liquid you sprayed on it?
Tony Sopranos Gun!
where did you get the grips?
Dude on eBay has an extended 10rd mags for those and the m70 32acp if you all are interested
Convinced me to get the same grips on mine. Btw, was your video not monetized because UA-cam considered it to be a dangerous gun alteration? That happened to me
Looks exactly like mine! The wood grips really makes it look better!
Nice…
👍
Clean and nice one you got there! Where did you get it and how much?
Classic has them on sale right now!
@@HillbillyNitroUSA thanks for the info I’ll go check em out now
@@misssassycompany9950 👍🏻
Essa arma é linda demais obra de arte!
Actually the 85 is a .380 version of the 82, and the 84 is the .380 version of the 81.
Yours blows black, not mine 😅 6:24
I just won an auction for an 84F on GunBroker 🥳🥳🥳. I got over kicking myself for not buying one from classic firearms when they're available couple years ago. Thanks for the great review!!
Thanks brother! Congrats on the score!!! 👍🏻💪🏻
Your such a FUDD, wood an blued steel, you must be my age, lol.Nah it definitely looks better with wood grips, I've always thought so, thx for the vid
Haha! 🤣 Appreciate it my brother! 👊🏻
Prob is the widen the grip making it as thick as the double stack
I go back and forth with wood grips on most my berettas
I also bought one from Classic a couple of years ago. I chose the hand select option. What i got was a heavilly pitted one. Sent it back right away. I still want to get one. Still looking for the right one.
Dang, I hate to hear that you had to send it back. I bought a Makarov with a +$25 Bakelite grip option from Classic about 2 years ago. It showed up with a quite a bit of wear and looked like to grip was used to hammer on something at some point in its life. I did decide to keep it because I didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning it. And a little wear just shows character…
اليعرف هذا شكد سعره بالعراقي
Just put a set on my 84 today.. Disappointed, Way to dark.. put the black ones back on, more grippy. The original smooth wood ones were way lighter..
this is hot, i want one myself
Racking that 85bb is rough, my M9a3 is easier to rack than my 85😖
It's because it's a blowback gun and doesn't have locking lugs.
