    *Important Note*
The snails were acting lethargic. Added a small air pump. Immediate improvement.
*Retraction* it does seem that all three color morphs are just different varieties of the same species. The way they mix is a bit over my head. Time to study

Love it. I think the susswassertang will do well in that setup. Once it gets comfortable in there, it should expand nicely. But if something crazy happens and it doesn’t make it, you know where to get more😊just ask. And to be fair, I think the shipping was only $6.
Oh and the quality is looking good.

Hey Clay I hope so! Kept a bit off screen in case of emergency. Also added a small bubbler to help aerate the water. Seeing a LOT of bubbles coming off the susswassertang.
But I'm loving it man thank you. I look forward to telling people about our Wise Susswassertang in the far future. Lots of ideas

I've had a huge problem with the small leopard ramshorns absolutely decimating most of my healthy plants. The only plants they don't eat are sußwassertang (thankfully, because I love that stuff) and java fern. They've even nibbled my anubias, leaving the leaves all tattered. Now I regularly "trap" them with cucumber pieces every time they start to pop up in my betta and community tanks, because I've found a "job" for them. They now get sent to work in the tubs and buckets that I culture daphnia in. Because of the intensive lighting, heavy aeration and diet of spirulina/chlorella powders, the daphnia containers rapidly and constantly grow stringy type algae on all surfaces, which the daphnia get tangled in when it gets loose. Turns out the leopard ramshorns are pretty good algae lawnmowers, and they have a constant supply of food in there, so it's a win/win. I also toss cuttlebone pieces in there too.

Browns and leopard ramshorns are same species. Believe reds are as well sinc browns will occasional throw one out but i could be mistaken.

That's probably the case. My assumptions are based on stories from other hobbyists. Related to breeding ramshorn for colors and spots. The occasional blue and red crosses which were a bit smaller on average and seemed to be sterile. Hinting at a cross species mix. I'll try to dig up some links

@BucketPonds haven't tried pinks with blues currently have brown red and pinks been selective breeding them for about 3 years now. Trying to create consistent line of pink with clear shells. Red with gold shells and standard leopards. Genetics are from 5 different breeders so far.

Those shells are shocking, do you think it’s possible for them to repair? Looking forward to updates ✌️
