Love the video of the polishing process. It is a project with that many! Your favorite Condor Agate I was lucky enough to nab!! I can’t wait for that and the Malawi Agates to come❤ Thank you so much for your hard work on them, and your blood sweat and tears. Literally 🤛🩹🩸 I appreciate you!!
This brought back memories of my grandfather, who was a dedicated “rock hound”, and had a rock tumbler in their basement the size of a Volkswagen ( or so it seemed to us kids). We were always amazed at the beauty inside those ugly rocks. I have a couple of gorgeous rings he made that I truly treasure. 😊
I randomly found your channel and absolutely love what you do. I want to get into cutting rocks and polishing them because of you. I'm trying to talk my husband to but me the whole step up. Eventually I'll wear him down lol😂
I love the way the cut dissected the calcite crystals in the first agate. Soo interesting! In the third one I love the way the orange glows so bright then flares into the blue. Amazing! I love that long Malawi agate. So unique!
dang, those argentine agates were awesome! I'm bummed they went so quick on the store! i lived in north argentina for 2 years as a missionary for my church, that place is near & dear to my heart. Great video taylor, as always, i appreciate it. and Jude says hi, and he is over the moon excited about his Christmas/birthday present and your note. Thank you!! much love from us
The color contrast from the inside to the outside of those agates really make the colors pop and to be honest really make the outside of those stones just a nice as they are on the inside that orange really brightens up after you cut and polish them
That first “ugly “ rock you cut in this video was incredibly beautiful!! Again, who could ever deny the existence of God when all this beauty is found inside !!?
if you take nice pictures of your favorite rocks you could apply for an exibition with the poetics of the rock and the inside stuff. Really nice, think about getting in the art system with this love and passion you have! nice video as always
Wow! Those blue and oranges are breathtaking! Beautiful job polishing! You should really put a bandage on your boo boo. Some of the minerals in rocks are toxic, like quartz, ect! Don't want no rock dust getting in your boo boo! 😊
Very interested! The rocks I've got match some you cut. Mystery finds from U. S. West, best guess. Seeing the outside of rocks, knowing where it's origin was is valuable knowledge, precisely what I hoped to find! Thanks! A Zentnerd from Washington 🌲 PS: Get Silk Socks! Longies, too. Wet, dry, those keep out winter.
So many beautiful agates. My favorite ones are the ones that look like a “bird” and a “beaver”. Seems to have so much depth. All the smaller ones are beautiful as well. Thanks for sharing. Sorry about your hand….no need to polish it! 😉
The one you see as a beaver, I see as a dragon's head. The dragon's eye is in the center of the larger section and the "beaver's eye" would be his nostril. That is my favorite piece!
Ugly agates 😮 you know they’re gateways to another dimension 😂 what stunners they turned out to be #3 looked almost celestial when you opened it up and the others had a beautiful contrast as if forged in the fires of mount doom would love to see more of these 😍 another great one thanks Agate Dad
I am a rock hound that doesn't get to rock hound😂 I absolutely love watching the videos, the cutting and polishing. Very relaxing. I think the rocks and geodes that you consider not so pretty are gorgeous. Do you sell your rough cuts or not so pretty geodes?? Keeep the videos coming.
It's funny You have a very affordable wet saw to cut your stones but you have a pretty nice polisher where I on the other hand have $1,000 what saw for cutting tile that really cut stone very well and then I have these nice polishing pads that we used to touch up granite and marble countertops to do the same polishing. The nice thing about the grinding polishing is it's super fast ☺️👍
I know people send you their agates sometimes, but do viewers send you all of these agates or do you purchase some as well? If you purchase them, would you mind sharing where? Rockhound for 36 years now here who found your channel recently. I was quickly obsessed, went out and bought saw, and now could cut rocks I’ve found for days. 😂 I just love seeing the surprise of what is (or isn’t inside)! Thank you for the awesome videos!
Is there a way to cut the stones that would allow more of the center to be in one piece? It would be nice to have a bigger piece polished on all sides for a pendant.
I have a slab of rock I picked up (I'm not home atm to measure but I'd say about 18"×12" or so and about 10" deep.) Full of pretty things 🤭 I'd love to be able to slice it someday 🥰
would love to heat treat some and knapp an arrowhead from this , i think it would require a kiln to heat it though , perhaps you know someone who can heat treat some slabs ? i have scottish pitchstone obsidian and various other cool scottish rocks if you ever fancied a trade set up
A bird? A BIRD!?! Is a Lake Superior Agate just a rock? Do you know how difficult is to reestablish the California Condor in North America!?! Just about the time we think we're making progress, a population in California is wiped out by forest fires. If that were not bad enough, some people are still using lead bullets and illegal pesticides that kill Condors when they eat the remains (They're part of nature's recycling crew.). If you ever get to see a live Condor in the U.S., count yourself lucky. Plus many cultures hold the Condor as sacred. A bird? It's so much more than just a bird. By the way, good video, Beautiful agates, fantastic polishing. Keep up the good work.🐦🪨
Where can I get rock that can be cut? What do you charge to cut them for me ? If I get some and we can share them you can have one half and I can get the other half
Let me know what you thought of this video in the comments :) don’t forget to check out our equipment and store here linktr.ee/AgateDad
Absolutely beautiful!! The red-brown-purple is wow!😀
Love the video of the polishing process. It is a project with that many! Your favorite Condor Agate I was lucky enough to nab!! I can’t wait for that and the Malawi Agates to come❤

I appreciate you!!
This channel is one cheerful, wholesome dopamine hit after another. 😊
Glad you enjoy it!
I second this
Some of these would benefit from a window opened in the back to let light in. Love the channel and love Agates!
These condor agates are so dramatic.Thank you for letting us watch!

The one you saw as a beaver I saw as a turtle lol very pretty agates!
Haha I saw a sheep in the bird piece, and a buffalo instead of a beaver. Brains are so interesting.
I thought the beaver was backward😅 our brains can sure tell us strange things 😅
And I see a Buffalo!
I did too!
I saw a turtle as well!
Bird and a turtle is what I see in those two. Love the Malawi’s
Looking at the injuries on your hands... what labor of love! Enjoying your channel and all the pretty stones, corals, poO rocks and all the gems!
So worth it (it’s pretty minimal)
Can't help but admire a guy that says how much he loves his wife😊 I hope you have made her some beautiful jewelry 😅❤
Men should be all about their wives ❤️
The purplish blue one looked like it has fire around the edges. Cool! ❤
I love the way the cut dissected the calcite crystals in the first agate. Soo interesting! In the third one I love the way the orange glows so bright then flares into the blue. Amazing! I love that long Malawi agate. So unique!
No bummer! They are ALL beautiful!

Nice polish job, Agate Dad!!!

Condor agates are soo pretty!!!!

The one with the fracture would be cool to cut right through the fracture and then polish it on 2 sides… Beautiful agates!
Ooh! Love the one with the fire all around the edge!!
Very beautiful agates. It was a pleasure to watch 🖒
Beautiful assortment of colors and shapes.
Good morning.....i just found your channel last night and already love it!!
Welcome to the family!
Mr Bones is back! It's amazing how polishing brings out the depth that sometimes you can't see at first.
The last one is my favorite
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Ooooh! Those colors!
Beautiful Agates
Awesooome! Cant wait to get back to hounding
The first one looked like a flower with white birds flying above it. Thanks for doing these videos.
Condor agates never disappoint. Glad you found your way to some.
Absolutely!
The first one is my favorite!
Can you share any tips for knowing which direction to cut them in? Thanks, love your channel!!
I love agates!!!!
All of them very gorgeous
if you take nice pictures of your favorite rocks you could apply for an exibition with the poetics of the rock and the inside stuff. Really nice, think about getting in the art system with this love and passion you have! nice video as always
They're all gorgeous! The dark ones with orange look like they're lit up.
4:25 I see fire in that rock. Oh my gosh!❤
I sit in my bed at night with my Kindle on, and watch your videos!

The flaws add beauty to them! At least i think so! ❤❤❤
you should try windshield crack repair kit for those fractured ones before polishing.
Excellent findings , excellent work 👍
Absolutely STUNNING ❤❤❤

Such a nice shine.
Instability aside, the fractures have a beauty all their own.

I was surprised at how colorful these a agates are
Just gorgeous!
I like the Malawi-agats best, but they are not ugly those from Argentina either, but...Malawi is best. Lot of work!!
Amazing video!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching!
Loiving that firy vibe!

Good morning all.
Good morning!
Good morning .
Those are very good.
I love you're cutting videos😊
Glad you like them!
Grande Ágate Dad, vejo seus vídeos e tento fazer, amo as pedras, aqui no Brasil tem muitas Ágatas, obrigado por compartilhar
I've always wondered why you cut them in half and not slabs
If I wanted to do cabs I’d make slabs
It's funny You have a very affordable wet saw to cut your stones but you have a pretty nice polisher where I on the other hand have $1,000 what saw for cutting tile that really cut stone very well and then I have these nice polishing pads that we used to touch up granite and marble countertops to do the same polishing. Well... i immediately saw a dragons head - not a beaver! Lol! (& thank you for sharing).
Sweet stuff!!!
Aweee. We want to meet the wifeeeeeeeeee ❤
Gorgeous
Wow! The inside doesn't look anything like what's on the inside!
I have a slab of rock I picked up (I'm not home atm to measure but I'd say about 18"×12" or so and about 10" deep.) Full of pretty things 🤭 I'd love to be able to slice it someday 🥰
very pretty
15:32 That is obviously a miners helmet and not a beaver. Or a tortoise/turtle with no legs.
The next to the last one that was the blue it looks as if you are looking up out of the depths of the earth into the sky
When showing these cut slabs, how about putting the light behind the thin piece?
would love to heat treat some and knapp an arrowhead from this , i think it would require a kiln to heat it though , perhaps you know someone who can heat treat some slabs ? i have scottish pitchstone obsidian and various other cool scottish rocks if you ever fancied a trade set up
Very cool!
That one looks like a turtle to me lol 😆 love them!!!
So amazing how can I get into rocks without expensive saws?
Could a small slice be cut off the back of a sliced agate? Then place a light over the small slice.Would it make the layers and bands show more?
The beaver was definitely a buffalo!

🐝 Taylor, Great rock cutting today! If you further cut those halves into 1/2” slabs, removing the crusts, would light shine through them?
Probably!
Goes to show you have to look inside to find the true beauty!!!
Does the top of the saw lift up so you can do bigger rocks I saw someone recently do that!
wow!
How have you still got all your fingers!
5:01 conjoined nodules?
Why not use a flat polishing disc for a flat cut? the rounded polished surface gives off a lot of glare at many viewing angles.
If I had a way to get a perfect polish in a timely fashion for flat cuts I would :)
How do you still have your thumb tips?
Because I don’t cut them off..?
@@AgateDad amazing
Where can I get rock that can be cut? What do you charge to cut them for me ? If I get some and we can share them you can have one half and I can get the other half
First time here and all the sudden, all of my agates in my tiny collection are pretty lame
I saw a turtle 🐢😃
Where you see beaver I see a dragon head.
The one on the right looked like a bird when he first opened it.
What
135k 👍
Where do you buy those ugly agate nodules?
Internet
@@AgateDad I figured. What sites?
