is the hybrid fast enough you think? Obviously MPG is the key with the hybrid but just worried that its going to struggle when you need the power (passing, lane changes). hoping its somewhat fun to drive
Yes. The hybrid has all you would need. Just no comparison to the 2.0L for power. You could for sure still have fun with it. Kind of like driving a mustang 5.0L , then an ecoboost mustang right after, both still fun, great power. But one for sure exceeds the other in the “fun” category.
Please show us the lariat front passenger seat. Is it power adjusted or manual? There's alot of mix answers. Please show us the front passenger seat manual control or power button on the lariat. Thanks
Whats the actual MPG on the Hybrid as opposed to what the Ford statement says it is? Also is there enough power in the hybrid to get up the on ramp and merge into traffic?
From my experience in driving yesterday, Ford projections are spot on. And yes, there is enough power to merge into traffic with the hybrid, but I will say, the power in the 2.0L ecoboost is very impressive!
Actually some reports are besting what Ford says. One well known youtube reviewer is reporting 43 combined MPG, and that is while test driving. You don't needs tons of power to merge onto freeways, your average Toyota Camry with 150HP has no problem, I do it every day.
I too was skeptical on the hybrid until I did some research, but the hybrid transmission (not to be confussed with crappy CVT which is completely different) is considered to more reliable than both traditional automatics and dual clutch automatics. Far fewer moving parts and no clutches to wear out. Sold me!
Hey Ricky! Thanks so much for the feedback! I really do appreciate it, I'm not the greatest with technology so I'm not even too sure what that means but you can bet I will look into what it is and how to do it. Thanks again my friend. Any time you have feedback , good or bad, I would appreciate it! And thanks for the compliment!
Yes , it will measure (out of 100 , 100 being the best 0 the worst) how well you braked. Reason for this is the brakes recharge the hybrid batter. (Regenerative braking) Yes only available in hybrid.
Absolute bullshit! I am very excited about the Maverick and hope to buy one next year after I get a chance to test drive it. But . . . this "test course" was bullshit and was clearly designed for fanboys to gush about the new Maverick. Useless! In the acceleration & brake test you only hit 38mph both times. What kind of a test is that? Nonsense! You took the speed bump at only 5mph which is meaningless. The bump course had bumps that looked about 3 inches tall -- meaningless.
Thanks so much for the feedback. We were at a ford training course and have to follow instructions so all the people around have a safe experience. Thanks for watching :)
The Maverick is going to crush the Compact truck segment. Best video out there right now. Thanks for the Real world driving test!
Thanks for sharing!
Glad I’ve ordered the 2.0.
I guess ppl here in Florida don't know what the on ramp is for👍✔They do 35mph till they're almost on the highway where the speed is 65mph🖖🤓🏈

It's faster than an 88 Turbo Coupe.

I'll pass on a hybrid, but I definitely take one with the EcoBoost and a 4K towing package with FX4 all-wheel drive.
I'll pass on the 2.0, but I will definitely take one with the hybrid and a 40 mpg fuel economy with a sunroof and luxury package.
@@wtfx5757 Sounds like a plan.
James= Ford's are rolling piles of JUNK== just because it's cheaper price does not mean quality===GET REAl !
@@joejoe7212 I'm buying it as a shit vehicle anyway. Most vehicles less than $30,000 are junk anyway.

If you can timestamp the video by model that would be helpful to viewers! Nonetheless great video! Thanks! I have a Lariat First Edition on order

what is the "number" when you take brake? I never drove a car which has a "number" to measure brake. is it part of dashboard for Maverick hybrid only?
