The safety sensors have saved me from accidents a couple of times. I wouldn't have a vehicle without them. And in this day and age, adaptive cruise is really nice.
I agree, I'm 60 years old, my work car has sensors and adaptive cruise control and lane assist. I will never buy a car without these and it should either be standard or an extra cost option on the lower priced cars/trucks. I wish we could get auto-dimming mirrors all around either as part of the Lariat or as an additional cost option.
I just picked up my '24 Maverick Lariat FX4 a couple of weeks ago after trading in my '22 Maverick Lariat. Although the XL trim is a value leader, it's totally worth the price gap to get the Lariat. If you're the kind of person that cares about tech and wants a slightly nicer interior to drive in everyday, it makes total sense to get the Lariat. And what's nice is that the difference between the '24 and '22 is actually pretty significant despite being the same thing. There's definitely a better sense of quality compared to the first model year with the feel of certain things such as the sun visors, center console lid and doors. They all have more heft and feel better built. Also, they added the foam pads in the front door jambs to mute out engine noise that were missing entirely on my first one. The amount of tech you get for the money is a bargain with today's high vehicle prices. Blind-Spot Monitoring, Pre-Collision Assist, Rear-Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Adaptive Cruise Control in a truck that costs less than $40,000 is a steal, at least in my opinion. And it's now standard on the Lariat.
I’m on the road and INSANE amount. I’ve got 400,000 miles on my 2019 Fusion Hybrid that I’m trading in when I get my Maverick. Adaptive cruise control alone is largely the reason I went with the Lariat. With the amount of windshield time I get that upgrade alone is worth the price difference.
My 2024 Maverick Lariat has a build week of Jan 15! Im super excited. I did weigh my options carefully and it seemed very close to the xlt and added options I wanted. The added safety features with follow assist etc were a big factor for me and the wireless charging pad (as small and silly as that is) put it over the top. I plan on driving it for a long time! So hopefully it all balanaces out.
We bought 24 lariat july drove cross country 8 thousand miles. Great driving with the extras made it a safer drive. We pd 36,500 out the door including bed liner and other extras more
I went from a 2001 Ford Ranger that was most definitely on its last leg to a 2024 XL and I got a few of the extras like a spray in bed liner. The base model is AMAZING! I’ve had it for a week now and I can’t complain.
But the Ranger had such a bigger and better bed size. How can you stand that TINY bed size in the Maverick? For me, it’s way too small. I like the size of my 1995 Ranger.
I helped my 73 year old father configure his order a few weeks ago. We went Lariat because you can't get the full two-tier safety features otherwise. There are a bunch of nicer perks, like the spray in bedliner, but a stereo upgrade really doesn't matter and interior is nicer but not a real priority.
I’ve had the 2024 lariat for over a month now and I really enjoy it, if you have a dog that sheds a lot it’s a lot easier cleaning their hair off the leather than the cloth. Also another way that I personally think of it is that I got my Mav for a little over 36k, and getting a brand New vehicle that’s top trim for 36k is not that bad nowadays
I have a 22 XLT awd with the 4k tow package, its an aweeome truck. Need the awd for the snow in the northeast, with the turbo and tow package i can tow a little as well. Get about 25mpg. Very happy with it .
When I ordered my 22 XLT Hybrid, I was trying to justify the difference in cost with the Lariat.. So my thought was not enough extra things to justify the cost.. I got the Sunroof, Luxury package, Co pilot 360, Hard trifold tonneau cover installed factory for around $28,000.. love the fuel mileage.. I have added graphics to the hood and sides, added mods inside too.. going to do more mods outside.. possibly turn signals in the side fender where the XLT badge is.. also racks for bed of the truck.. just subscribed
I just picked up my Lariat yesterday. I'm coming from a loaded Taurus Limited. I want comfort, and although it doesn't have all of what the Taurus has, it's quite acceptable and very comfortable.
Ford is building the Lariats for the old Baby Boomers. We want all the bells and whistles. We know value when we see it and realize money ain't worth anything anymore. You say you want your XL back and your $10,000 back but then you will turn around and spend it on after market parts. Tell me how much does it cost to add Co-pilot 360 or make your windows go up and down with 1 touch or heat your steering wheel or start you truck from a key fob or put in a bigger instrument cluster or power back window or leather seats or acoustic windshield or B&O stereo with Sync 3 or heated seats that come on when you remote start your truck or 18 rims with Michelin tires or a spray in bedliner or lights and an outlet in the bed. The list goes on and on and us old guys love our Lariats. You keep working on your XL we will just enjoy our Lariats.
I wrestled with this decision back in 2022 when ordering my 2023 Maverick. Being that I keep my vehicles for 8 - 10 years, I thought I would splurge and get what I wanted in it and hope that they had parts available. I ended up paying $9365 over the base in getting the 2023 Lariat Tremor AWD/FWD which included the 500A Options, Tremor Off Road pkg, the Lariat luxury package, co-pilot 360, spray-in liner, 6d-link bed connectors and remote start. With all the safety features, my auto insurance went down. I am very happy and content with my decision. I especially love the remote start, sound of the B&O 6 speaker system with subwoofer and love all of the tremor additions; including the added lift, better tires/traction options, and better ride. I don't like that with that they didn't include ECO mode in the mode options to save gas. I don't usually travel far with it so it is not too much of a problem. So it just depends on each build and individual as to whether the higher packages are worth it. I would not change a thing. Thanks.
Reading up on Maverick, it may indeed be coming with extra 6” of bed in 2025 !! 5 feet of bed. I surely hope so, that would make all the difference. Something worth checking out if waiting a few months means a 5’ bed. Someone noted hybrid battery takes up room needed for hybrid + AWD motor in back, hence no hybrid AWD currently. Also, 2025 Maverick may have a refreshed front and rear look, additional LED lights. I hope so on that as well, a little less basic blocky look. Now if Ford would integrate the electronic screen better with the dash, I’d love that. It’s a personal taste, I’m not sure I want to look at that just sticking up like I bolted and glued an accessory thing onto an existing dash.
I have a 2023 Hybrid XL. I love it. I installed Katzkin leather and a set of new wheels and tires. I’m still under 25K adding those items. I ended up buying the Ford premium care 10/100k extended warranty for 1700 from Granger Ford. My dealer in Dallas wanted 2900.
I have the 2024 Lariat Hybrid and it is worth it from my perspective. I'm someone who likes technology, as I work in IT. I love the adaptive cruise control, it is truly a game changer for me. Lane assist is nice too, although I can see how it can be kind of annoying. Wireless charging pad could be better to be honest, its kind of an expensive charging pad and it doesn't have fast charging capabilities. Seems like it could be upgraded at some point though as it looks like just a plugin wireless charger. I didn't like the idea of not having Sync which is only available in the Lariat, and the other comfort controls are super nice to have which I'll be using more in the winter months here in Michigan.
If Ford could figure out how to make these to keep up with demand I would experiment with a Lincoln variant. Base would be between the XLT and Lariat and the top trim would be $2k above the Lariat. It would have color matched or chrome/brushed mirrors, handles color matched bed trim and tonneau cover it's own fenders, hood, facia, tailgate, lights, interior. between pillars the cab is 100% identical and being luxury brands and golf go together I would have a club locker for your golf club bag that secures in the bed And set up or renovate a plant to assemble both in the states or Canada.
In addition to all the safety tech, such as adaptive cruise and lane centering, I think you should have mentioned that you can only get proximity key and the front signature daylight LED lights and rear LED lights with the Lariat trim. Plus, the 18-inch rims, the bigger 6.5 inch display, the B&O sound system, navigation, the power sliding rear windows, ambient interior lighting and all 4 auto up and down windows. When you add all these extras up, are they worth the extra $10K? Probably not, but it is to me. ;)
I have a 23 lariat hybrid non-lux with sunroof. I ordered a 24 lt hybrid bap in case my 23 didn't get delivered. Now that my 24 is scheduled for Feb, I may turn it down. I'm having a hard time justifying the added 5-6k for virtually the same truck. Not crazy about the black wheels and that they deleted the keypad. I would like to have the lane keeping assist and the tow kit. I just don't think it's worth the extra $$$$. I'll wait till it comes in and make the call. I think I would rather spend some of the money to customize my 23 a bit.
I have a 22 CG Lariat AWD with all available options minus the FX4 package. Total cost 36K. It was ordered in Sep 21, I took delivery in May 22. To date, it has exceeded all my expectations. I have completed a few interior and exterior mods. My future concern is how reliable are the electronics? When I park the vehicle and wait a moment I can hear the modules and relays relaxing after what appears to be a preset time delay. They are very audible. I often wonder how may cycles can be sustained before a failure. Otherwise, this truck ( XL, XLT, Lariat) is currently in a class by itself.
The sounds you are hearing is a coolant pump cycling coolant.. I wouldn’t be too concerned about that but more concerned about smaller things failing that will be a hassle to fix. Such as the adaptive cruise radar or blis or duel zone climate. Little stuff like that
I added Mobett seat covers to my XL, they are made out of the same material as the ActiveX that Ford uses, and they look just like them. You have to go looking to find out they are covers and they really improve the look. I love my 23 Maverick although I did add two grand in changes, most notably new wheels and AT tires but IMO you can't beat the XL.
23k to 30k for the XL or XLT is worth it. 40k is way overboard! I dont care how much technology it has. The truck is not worth 40k. Glad i went with the XLT.
I have a 28 year old f 150. I've looked under the maverick. Cheap rolled steel subframe in the front. Its not a truck by the way .Its a car with a open back. Ill keep my old school 150. Never get 28 years out of one of those. The build quality is just plain cheap.
The lane follow/keep assist is worth it for me. But I drive tons. I started with XLT, went to a XL and now getting the Lariat, I have a XL being made if I don't like it and don't take to big a hit when it comes in.
On your Lariat, I think it's the same powertrain as mine. Ecoboost with AWD. After you shut off the vehicle, about 3 seconds later, do you hear a shutter nose like a flap is closing? Mine has that. It's from the rear end and confirmed it's not the active shutters up front. It's not the same noise as electric parking brake either. Really curious what it is.
You compared features, but what is the ride quality cabin noise, and overall comfort like, comparing the XL and Lariat for both in-town and also highway road trips?
Ride quality is identical. There is no difference in shocks or struts or any other suspension components to make it any different. In cabin noise is slightly less in the lariat due to the acoustic windscreen but it’s not substantially different. Only massive advantages on road trips is in my opinion the lane following assist on the lariat.
@@PerformanceOnWheels Thanks for the info. We have the lane following and adaptive cruise on our Subaru, and although I tend to fight the lane following enough to not use it very often (it puts me more left in the lane than I like), I love the adaptive cruise and would be hard pressed to get any future vehicles without it, especially any that are going to be used for any significant highway driving.
Love the wheels on the xl. How hard are they to clean? Can you clean behind the spokes too or it’s too hard? Also where did you get the ST decals for them?
I quite honestly haven’t even cleaned them yet since we have been in winter! So not sure, probably not super easy with how many spokes there are. I got the decals off of ebay
I feel like you missed out on some more points on the lariat. Pretty high end upgraded speaker system, and a bed liner included. Electric back window. It is definitely more of an interior comfort upgrade. Which ultimately for me , is why I choose it.
I just bought a LX Maverick with a bed cover sprayed bed an most of the other ops it has drive train selection it has the stop an go cut off it down loads the phone the 2.0 lt ecoboost engine the ride is great i really went to look at a new F150 but after seeing the cost i was leaving the salesman said you are in your 70s an you don't want to spend 60-75 thousand on a truck i said we need a truck for picking up pellets for our stove her garden stuff he showed me the Maverick LX i drove it an was sold he told me the LXT an Lariat have the battery that will go up an you an yes the on mine the driver side visor has a mirror but back to the truck for the dollar the LX is a better deal its simply an easy to pick up on i like drive conditions selection
These guys glossed over some major benefits of Lariat. Though the not cheap price point and dealer markup definitely need consideration. The faux leather seats look good and are a game changer if you have kids or a dog. Everything just wipes up. The running lights may be superficial but do look a lot better rather than having a whole unused portion of the headlights. The Lariat can basically drive itself plus safety tech that maybe should be available to everyone but aren't. The B&O sound system is legitimately good for the level of vehicle Maverick is and the sunroof makes it feel much more spacious.
Hard question to answer… I’d probably say I like them both equally but your probably going to be safer going with cactus grey since it looks better with pretty much any color next to it if you choose to do wheels etc
The XLT is the better of the three in my opinion. I think it looks better and has the best looking grill. Its cheaper than the lariat but is way smoother, more quiet than the XL. Comes with heated seats and steering wheel, automatic seat adjustment, and has all the safety sensors as the lariat I have the 2024 Ford Maverick XLT(luxury and black out package) and its amazing. I went with the metalic grey(looks almsot like dark charcoal, and the back edition give you the black rims, black ford logo, and most importantly makes the seats black rather than the ugly orange trim it comes with. The car looks gorgeous inside and out, and it drives so smooth and quiet, and at the moment gets me 37.7mpg, and gets 527miles to empty(have the hybrid) Ford really out did themselves with this one. My ONLY propblem is the damn screen that has the stupid empty space to the right of it.... Dont understand why they didnt just make it a larger screen(you know ford has them). If I could get an aftermarket screen put on so that it goes the distance of that empty hole it would be PERFECT
Ford played us. They offer the Mav XL hybrid for $19,999 and sold out. Then Ford upped the price to $20 something and next year when the PHEV Mav arrives it will be even more. We may HAVE to buy the Lariat to get the PHEV $42K would not surprise me. !
The technology is a huge difference. I want my next car to be Comma AI compatible, and the Lariat is the only one that has that technology. For those of you that don't know, Comma AI converts compatible vehicles to have self driving capabilities that rival Tesla.
As a person that owns a hybrid XL and who is active on many groups, a couple things I will say that were changed for the 2024 hybrid XL: XL 1. 5:36 2024 has power mirrors and cruise control standard - It's 100% good. 2. 5:42 infotainment sucks very bad and terrible quality screen but is OK - The infotainment system shows how bad ford is at the consumer computer level stuff. 3. 6:16 interior is extremely cheap cloth is damaged easily (threads fray very easy) and the plastic is very easy to scratch, but OK - They did not nail it, and the cheap materials shows Ford way behind companies like Toyota, Honda for spending a bit more to get better quality interior, it's such a waste tbh. For competing products and prices (the only competitor is the Kia Santa Cruze, which looks like a POS), it's awesome, but really, Ford has problems with polished products that are quality builds. If you are looking for a compact truck, that is affordable compared to the competition, and is very useable and extremely good on gas mileage (for contractors, that's going to be huge savings, especially if you drive the hybrid that doesn't have problems, ie: not a lemon). I really like this truck for the price. Remember these are good add-ons: copilot360, after-market spray-on (ie: Line-X).
That’s not accurate. They do not have power mirrors standard. You need to get the correct package to get them. And this video applies to used as well for power mirrors and this video applies to used mavericks as well before 2023 that did not have cruise control. I agree with everyone thing else you say.
@PerformanceOnWheels I see, was comparing the 2024 maverick as you did state at the beginning of the video that you mentioned 2024 lariat vs xl, 10k price difference. I updated my comments. Also I am in canada so things might be different in the states.
9:56 never been the biggest fan of the auto dimming mirror. I actually usually deactivate the auto dim feature. So I don’t mind that. Anyway waiting on my ‘24 Lariat Azure Grey (which is a week “in production”) and can’t wait for it!
@PerformanceOnWheels I have a maxed out Lariat hybrid on order - all options, black pkg, tonneau cover, etc $41k without ttt, destination. No homelink? No auto dimming mirror? Single camera? I may dump my order which just got a VIN and get a SC Limited fo the same price. I shouldn't have to go buy a $25 Kia mirror that has homelink and auto dims and install it myself. $41k for what should be 31k max. Smh
No auto dimming mirror on 38k?? My 52k Silverado RST didn’t have one either so it’s not that big of a deal. Also you mention that the xl can get a tow package so you take it out of the equation but fail to mention that adding the tow package increases the cost of the xl and it was included on your lariat.
Ill admit even my 2015 fusion has auto dimming rear view mirror.. kinda crazy the maverick isnt auto. Also, why choose a puck lift over eibachs spring kit?
Wanted get your thoughts on ride quality on the lowered hybrid. I just lowered my 2024 hybrid last week with the eibach pro springs and seems to me that ride quality is pretty ruff and bumpy. I really like the way it looks I would really not want to have to put back the stock springs.
My 2024 maverick hybrid is waiting for me at the dealership, got it for msrp. Gotta build it through ford's website when the order bank opens in the summer and research dealerships that don't markup prices. It's a bit technical but worth it if you really want this truck at msrp
the dual climate I wish I had and push button start and the lane car keep I've got the lane assist on mine but the little black box and how they mounted it looks weird there
you guys dilly-dally too much. I had to increase playback speed to 1.5x just to keep the video going....thanks UAW for the 10% year-to-year price jump 🖕
@@PerformanceOnWheels...I appreciate the entertainment...go at whichever speed you are comfortable with; don't speed up things on my account. I'll use my play speed as needed. trust me, you aren't the 1st time I've upped the playback speed on. Even at the faster speed I could follow along and got what I needed out of the video. 1.25x and 1.5x seem to be the going rate of play back speeds lately.
Plus they are trying to make it a world truck like the ranger was. Poorer people in south American countries have no use for heated steering and the higher costs
What did you expect from the cheapest truck on the market? I just picked up 24 XL Hybrid as a company car. it is not that bad. Infotainment sucks, it takes forever to boot up and freezes once a day at least. Is is cheaply made, but it rides not too bad, and Hybrid power is fine. i added ike 250$ worth of upgrades, like a bed mat, some extra hooks, etc.
I still can't believe that in 2024 Ford is still using an ignition key for the XL and XLT... Is it worth $10K more? No, but I could never go back to a key start after using push to start in every car I've driven since like 2010.
@@PerformanceOnWheels ok, even though Ford now charges more for the Hy, most would pay more for an AWD Vehicle depending on where you live. The FX4 comes with some nice modes that are all AWD I’m pretty sure. So if snow or doing light off roading are your needs then you’d expect to pay more. You mentioned how much better the noise reduction was with the Lariat over the XL and XLT. Heated Seats and Steering wheel are nice in certain areas. I think if your in a certain climate the Lariat is better choice over a similar fully loaded like a Lariat XLT in the 2024 model. I personally do not own a Mav, but I do have an XL with 360 and a towing package on order, but not really planning on even taking delivery of it. I’m really interested in what’s new for 2025 as I feel many changes will come. Nothing major, just more choices. I personally like the BAP and LUX XLT version and if I could find a 2023 at MSRP I’d buy it. I still own an Original 2003 Honda Element, so like your Dad I’m not super excited with all the fancy extras on cars these days. More to break down and pay to get fixed. I really want Heated Seats and Steering Wheel for the first time in my life. I love the darkened out lights look, I love the lowered look of your Hy and I love styling wheels. Give me a XL AWD HY with better color matching interior, Heated S and W and I’d be pretty darn happy or better yet, an AWD ST model.
How are you gonna buy a base model and then complain about missing items? Visors with lighted mirrors, for example... Ford cost is definitely more than a few pennies.
@@PerformanceOnWheels I'm sure I'm not the first to comment. Y'all look like brothers. Anyhow, here I am staring at Maverick vids right after buying an Outback wilderness. Maverick might be my next car. Not sure if I'll go tremor or maybe just step up to a Ranger or competing sm/mid sz at these prices.
I test drove a lariat. Lol. This should be the 24,000.00 model. These vehicles are underpowered and the ride is rough. I was completely disappointed in this vehicle. I won't be getting one.
You most like drove a hybrid lariat. The 2.0 AWD is a much better ride having a full on independent suspension and the 2.0 actually has a lot of power in this little truck
@downhilljedi well I personally would not consider a 5.9-6.2 second 0 to 60 slow considering that close to what mustang GTs did in the mid 2000s. And it rides better than any ranger, Colorado or Tacoma I’ve ever been in. (Which is all of them but the 24 Tacoma)
You guys are dead wrong about the Lariat. It has way more stuff than you talked. After you drive it for awhile you are going to make a video saying how wrong you were on this video. Why don't you make a list of everything the the Lariat has that the XL does not have and post that on the screen for us to see? Don't forget about the acoustic windshield and the addition sound insulations used that might not show up on the sticker. Once you drive this long term and then go back and drive the XL you will feel sorry for your girlfriend. I know you bought it to write it off as a tax liability for your channel but you will love it I guarantee.
I’ve daily driven it 7k miles now… I want my money and the XL back. Totally not worth it at all. I still drive the XL once a week, no where near enough difference to justify the extreme price gap
@@PerformanceOnWheels sure it’s worth it to you because you are writing it all off on your taxes and then sell it to a friend for a “great price”. This is oldest trick in the book.

That would be cool! Not sure if it will happen or not. I do guarantee it won’t happen at least until the full on re design in 2027 however
Get a ridgeline then
Maverick seems a good price, but need something to pull 3800 lbs.
@@alanbuvelot831 ridgeline pulls 5k

Thanks.
A XL with a small cab and long bed is the one missing option I wish was offered.
As a Senior the XL is out of the question for me. I require Ford COPILOT 360 and Adaptive Cruise control.
In the same situation. Ordered back in 2021 and I'm not happy about the 2024 price increase. Going to really think about making this purchase.
Little stuff like that
@PerformanceOnWheels That's valuable information. BTW, you guys have great content, Thanks.
Glad you enjoy it! Thank you! Many more videos coming!
Sounds like I might have to look into those for the XL!
What were the prices in 2022 compared to 2024?
Can you give us idea how much higher is in the same trims?
About a $3000 price increase happened in 2024 on XL and XLT lariat was only about $300
@@PerformanceOnWheels thanks
On your Lariat, I think it's the same powertrain as mine. Ecoboost with AWD. After you shut off the vehicle, about 3 seconds later, do you hear a shutter nose like a flap is closing? Mine has that. It's from the rear end and confirmed it's not the active shutters up front. It's not the same noise as electric parking brake either. Really curious what it is.
Yes it does, don’t remember the name of the pump but it is cycling coolant around. Nothing to worry about. All 2.0s do it
@@PerformanceOnWheelsI always wondered what that noise was. All I knew is that it's normal. I had a '22 Lariat 2.0 and currently a '24 Lariat FX4.
I agree, it is an awesome feature to have
@@PerformanceOnWheels you are full of crap
I love My 2024 just got the Hybrid XLT terrain color one Yesterday
Love the wheels on the xl. How hard are they to clean? Can you clean behind the spokes too or it’s too hard? Also where did you get the ST decals for them?
I quite honestly haven’t even cleaned them yet since we have been in winter! So not sure, probably not super easy with how many spokes there are. I got the decals off of ebay
I think the market for the Maverick is cheap. If I'm going to drop 40k on a truck, it'll be a 4wd Tacoma.
I hope your content makes up the difference! I liked the video!
Glad you liked it :)
I hate how small the bed size is. I would gladly give up the back seat for a longer bed size!!!
I feel like you missed out on some more points on the lariat. Pretty high end upgraded speaker system, and a bed liner included. Electric back window. It is definitely more of an interior comfort upgrade. Which ultimately for me , is why I choose it.
nice got the terrain color, I did too but I got the Hybrid XLT version and paid 36k I wanted the MPGs Living here in South Fl
Great review. Terrain or cactus grey? Wich one is the most beautiful in your opinion?
Hard question to answer… I’d probably say I like them both equally but your probably going to be safer going with cactus grey since it looks better with pretty much any color next to it if you choose to do wheels etc
The XLT is the better of the three in my opinion. I think it looks better and has the best looking grill. Its cheaper than the lariat but is way smoother, more quiet than the XL. Comes with heated seats and steering wheel, automatic seat adjustment, and has all the safety sensors as the lariat
I have the 2024 Ford Maverick XLT(luxury and black out package) and its amazing.
Then Ford upped the price to $20 something and next year when the
PHEV Mav arrives it will be even more. We may HAVE to buy the
Lariat to get the PHEV $42K would not surprise me.
!
Count on it…
The technology is a huge difference. I want my next car to be Comma AI compatible, and the Lariat is the only one that has that technology. For those of you that don't know, Comma AI converts compatible vehicles to have self driving capabilities that rival Tesla.
As a person that owns a hybrid XL and who is active on many groups, a couple things I will say that were changed for the 2024 hybrid XL:
XL
1. 5:36 2024 has power mirrors and cruise control standard - It's 100% good.
2. 5:42 infotainment sucks very bad and terrible quality screen but is OK - The infotainment system shows how bad ford is at the consumer computer level stuff.
3. 6:16 interior is extremely cheap cloth is damaged easily (threads fray very easy) and the plastic is very easy to scratch, but OK - They did not nail it, and the cheap materials shows Ford way behind companies like Toyota, Honda for spending a bit more to get better quality interior, it's such a waste tbh.
Are they worth the new price tag? I'm not sure. And I love this truck.
XL absolutely is
I went out to a dealer here in Canada and the dealer was pricing them in the $50,000.00 range. I was shocked.
That’s wild
9:56 never been the biggest fan of the auto dimming mirror. I actually usually deactivate the auto dim feature. So I don’t mind that. Anyway waiting on my ‘24 Lariat Azure Grey (which is a week “in production”) and can’t wait for it!
Ugh! What about the lack of homelink??
@PerformanceOnWheels I have a maxed out Lariat hybrid on order - all options, black pkg, tonneau cover, etc $41k without ttt, destination. No homelink? No auto dimming mirror? Single camera? I may dump my order which just got a VIN and get a SC Limited fo the same price. I shouldn't have to go buy a $25 Kia mirror that has homelink and auto dims and install it myself. $41k for what should be 31k max. Smh
I agree, it’s definitely silly that it doesn’t come with one. Installing one may have to be a video I make in the near future.
On a Ford lot try and find a bare bones XL - after tax and tags you are over 30k. Or you can order on-line and wait 9 months.
The XL is obviously a much better value
Love my lariat!
Hard not too!!!
The Lowerd one has eibachs pro spring kit. The lariat is getting a full strut swap not a puck kit
Wanted get your thoughts on ride quality on the lowered hybrid. I just lowered my 2024 hybrid last week with the eibach pro springs and seems to me that ride quality is pretty ruff and bumpy. I really like the way it looks I would really not want to have to put back the stock springs.
I don’t notice much of a difference between how it rode stock and how it rode lower. It is a little bit stiffer but it’s not substantial
Good luck finding an XL for 24,600.
Is paying MSRP still a thing? My 24 was just built.
Apple Autos sells all of there’s at MSRP!
My 2024 maverick hybrid is waiting for me at the dealership, got it for msrp. Gotta build it through ford's website when the order bank opens in the summer and research dealerships that don't markup prices. It's a bit technical but worth it if you really want this truck at msrp
@@PerformanceOnWheelstheirs wtf
Absolutely NOT worth it
What are the wheels on the XL ? Thanks
Fair warning the xl in this video has been modified. Not only has upgraded rims but also has a lowering kit. Among other expensive mods.
Expensive??? $300 lowering springs and $500 used wheels and tires?
the dual climate I wish I had and push button start and the lane car keep I've got the lane assist on mine but the little black box and how they mounted it looks weird there
you guys dilly-dally too much. I had to increase playback speed to 1.5x just to keep the video going....thanks UAW for the 10% year-to-year price jump 🖕
My bad! Didn’t realize you were in a rush, we will just export it in 2x speed just for you next time..... The feedback is appreciated.
It was made in Mexico. Go for the xlt. They are trying to attract the buyer who is moving from a GMC or other American car.
Plus they are trying to make it a world truck like the ranger was. Poorer people in south American countries have no use for heated steering and the higher costs
My XL 2024 has a lever to pump seat up and down. And I crank mine with ford phone app
Driving a 2024 Maverick XLT now.. It is a cheaply made truck! The ride is rough, tech sucks, uncomfortable, and there in no room inside.
When does the lift kit get installed?
Make sure you hit that notification bell 🔔 so you are the first to know!
@@PerformanceOnWheels okay
Kat skinz more like $3,500 now and only good for about 4-5 years with regular use.
I still can't believe that in 2024 Ford is still using an ignition key for the XL and XLT... Is it worth $10K more? No, but I could never go back to a key start after using push to start in every car I've driven since like 2010.
This is why they do it…
Sadly I have seen some Lariat's around here going for 48K and none below 39K just crazy to me.
Come to Cincinnati. Plenty here
If you find either one of those for that MSRP, let me know. Ford is selling those models for about 4-7k over what they’re listed at. Just saying.
We have 10 available at my work at msrp.
By far the copilot lariat
Annoying that they force you to get the lariat in order to have adaptive cruise.
Agreed
Third. Also, as this includes safety options it should be standard…per the legal dept. you’ve been warned.
Ford lariat starts at 50k in my area
That’s insane
Both AWD?
The grey one is a FWD hybrid. The other is an FX4
@@bobgomavitz1330 You can add heated seats to any car nowadays, very affordable too
Good presentation.
coolant leak fixed?
It is now! Video will be out about it soon
How are you gonna buy a base model and then complain about missing items? Visors with lighted mirrors, for example... Ford cost is definitely more than a few pennies.
Because that was a standard feature on cars from the late 90s.
Is 2024 xlt hybrid fwd cactus gray $34,900 OTD price good?
Im sold..XL for me
The audio needs upgraded regardless of model.
I was pleased with my lariats sound system
Dang. Wish companies would send me some stuff for my car lol
You should make UA-cam videos than!

How big of a waist?
Y does he keep calling this a “car “???
At the end of the day the Lariat is a cheap truck, dressed up

@kohort1 we have a video comparing a Maverick to a Ranger as well as another video talking about Maverick tremors! Check out our channel :)
@@PerformanceOnWheels no sir. Drove the non hybrid model
The pedal to metal acceleration on the 2.0 Ecoboost is intense. I'm not sure how much more power you'd expect in a mini pick-up.
